This 21 minute cartoon has been released in Europe today. I can't comment on the cartoon yet, although I am looking forward to watching it, but I can tell you that the Blu-Ray version includes an exclusive Young Han Solo minifig.

In the UK this is exclusively available from Tesco, priced at £8. You can order it from Tesco Entertainment, although I suspect it'll also be available in larger stores.

I know this is old news if you're in the USA, where it's been out a while and is a Wal-Mart exclusive. (thanks for the correction)

Actually I've found it at Wal-Mart, as well. And I really enjoyed it when I saw it. But here in America, they have it priced really high! They have it at around $25!

Great marketing idea. Stick the biggest spoiler of all to the front of the packaging.
Coming soon, the special edition of 'The Sixth Sense' with free glow-in-the-dark Bruce Willis Ghost and the official 'Planet of the Apes' Statue of Liberty playset...

The animation is hilarious, though it's a lot to pay for a short like this.

I saw the dvd version in the shelves at Intertoys here in The Netherlands last saturday. It's going for € 9,99.

Edit: the dvd version didn't have the Han Solo minifig.

Posted by supersympa in Sweden, 07 Nov 2011 08:19

well here in Sweden it goes for 79 sek, and it goes with the dvd, but no sign of blu-ray....
and Watched it with my son....well...we got a bit frustrated by the short film, but was fun to watch.

I think it's a Walmart exclusive, Huw, but I don't know, seeing that I don't live in the U.S.

Posted by collectormom in United States, 07 Nov 2011 08:44

We got this at Wal-Mart for $12

Posted by SupaSteela17 in United States, 07 Nov 2011 09:08

its only at walmart? ugh i hate them but if i ever do get it i can just go to ebay

Posted by Pobwall in United Kingdom, 07 Nov 2011 09:27

Have seen it in Devizes, Wiltshire, Tesco today. #1 in their DVD chart at £5 for the non blu-ray version. Then I looked at the running time and saw 21 minutes, and thought whoa, that is short!!!

This would suggest it is going to be in a lot of Tesco stores....

@Huw: Off-topic, but I found an error in the name of this set: http://www.brickset.com/detail/?Set=9552-1
It should be "Garmadon", not "Gamadon", right? :)

Posted by The Cobra in Italy, 07 Nov 2011 12:38

To the Italian People: Iper has it on the Christmas catalogue.
DVD costs 7,90 Euros, Bluray w/fig costs 12,90.

Is there anywhere I can watch the video online?

Posted by LEGOSLUG in New Zealand, 07 Nov 2011 14:07

@padnic: yep, just look it up on google. Thats what I did.

Posted by Pantboy in United Kingdom, 07 Nov 2011 14:16

got my copy in the post today, just finished watching it, very funny, the extras are excellent too, minifigure is a nice touch and almost makes it worth £8 (but not quite)

Posted by nameloc in United Kingdom, 07 Nov 2011 14:25

was on a kids tv channel on sky in uk bout 10 days ago, funny but wouldnt pay for it even with the limited edition stubby figure

Posted by meyerc13 in United States, 07 Nov 2011 14:28

The video may only be ~21 minutes, but it also collects a number of other extras on the disc so I think it's worth the price.

Posted by es09 in Australia, 07 Nov 2011 14:39

I got mine about 2 months ago $8 dollars for the normal dvd version or $20 for the bluray version At my local kmart but ive seen it at target and toys r us too

Posted by Jed in Europe, 07 Nov 2011 16:18

They've got it in Tesco Clearwater, Finglas, Dublin 11. Both the Bluray and the DVD.

Posted by itsaturkey in United States, 07 Nov 2011 17:00

I watched it on CN then got this as a present. Extremely funny and creative. The extras include other Lego.com shorts and comics. The minifig is a nice addition but be warned, it is the cheaper CM type plastic.

Posted by gordi99 in United States, 07 Nov 2011 17:06

I got it at walmart and I dont know why, but they had priced it at 13$!!!!!! I bought it and was able to get the han solo figure which is very nice. The dvd also came with "the fastest, funniest, story" 1 and 2. It was one of those "Walmart" moments.

Posted by CapnRex101 in United Kingdom, 07 Nov 2011 17:06

It is a great video, but the figure is a bit lacklustre in my opinion, it is pretty much just a rehash of other figure parts. It is worth purchasing though I think. I know they have it in Tesco Extra Eastbourne, if anyone is interested.

Posted by Huw in United Kingdom, 07 Nov 2011 17:18

I think they now have it in all Tescos, even my puny little branch had both DVD and BD, at number 1 in their chart.

Posted by EliteLeader99/brickboy2 in United States, 07 Nov 2011 22:31

OOO! I saw this at wal-mart for $13.00US Pretty good deal i thought. It includes Blu-ray and DVD

Posted by stelek in Poland, 08 Nov 2011 10:24

I think this news is about UK and not about Europe in general. I bought my DVD exactly one month ago in a Tesco in Poland. There was no BD unfortunately...

Posted by LEGOSLUG in New Zealand, 08 Nov 2011 12:16

@Huw: It's in NZ, but I don't think the minifigure is included. :O(

Posted by LEGOSLUG in New Zealand, 08 Nov 2011 12:16

http://www.thewarehouse.co.nz --That's where it is.

Posted by LukeSkywalker in Ireland, 08 Nov 2011 13:05

I'm so happy that this is available in Ireland, just picked up the blu-ray+figure in my local Tesco for €10. :)

Posted by jonbuddy in United States, 08 Nov 2011 20:02

$25USD.......FOR A 21 MINUTE MOVIE?!?!!?!? I bought a new Blu-Ray Movie that was 2.5+ hours long for $10 at Wal-mart!

....Granted it was "2001: A Space Odyssey" :P

Posted by Thomson & Thompson in Canada, 08 Nov 2011 21:43

^That's crazy. So the minifig is like $20, then?

Posted by legoman67 in Netherlands, 09 Nov 2011 03:59

I was in Poland last week and they just sell the DVD including the minifigure for 29.95 Polish Zloty. That is only € 6.85. I found DVDs both at Tesco and Empic. Although the DVD is just 21 minutes it is worth while especially if you also consider the bonus materials.
