    Almost certainly prompted by the Toys R Us 3-for-2 offer on LEGO this weekend, Amazon has reduced the price of loads of LEGO sets by 33%, as you can see from the alert below (if you're in the UK), including my previous Set of the Week, the Ninjago Earth Dragon. I suspect more may be picked up when the data is gathered again at midday, so keep an eye out here and on the Bargain Watch page.

    This seems to be a growing trend, doesn't it: Amazon reducing their prices in response to a competitor's promotion. We saw it in France a couple of weeks ago. It's good for us as consumers now, I guess, but one day all the competitors will be out of business and we'll only have Amazon. Then it might not be so good...

I also grabbed an Endor Set and a couple of others today. It did occur to me that if I didn't curb my spending then I might single-handedly end up saving the UK economy, until I read this thread and realised that it was in fact turning out to be a team effort....!

millenium falcon cheaper at Toysrus with the 3 for 2 deal at £73.33. Draw back to get that deal you need to buy three. I am up for getting one, just need 2 more people. I am midlands based. Deal does not work if I have to post. message me if interested.

However Battle of Endor on its way.

Bizzare experience at Toys R Us today!

They let me buy 3 of the Star Wars Republic Frigate sets on the 3-for-2 deal, but wouldn't let a friend buy 3 of the Clone Trooper Battle Packs on the 3-for-2 deal because they were all "the same set".

Ridiculous when I'm standing there having just got 3-for-2 on the Frigates, but he's ordered them via Amazon now (2 on his account and 1 on mine to get around their max. limit of 2 per customer).

Sent a complaint to the ASA (for all the good it'll do).

^^ certain sets have a max limit per customer, when looking last night deciding on my buys I noticed some sets were limited to max 1 per customer or max 2 per customer.

Clone turbo tank 8088 from TRU website 1 per customer, rebuplic frigate 7694 no limit.

No limit on 7964 Millenium falcon, yet limit of 2 per customer on the X-wing 6212

So check website for limits.

Also just want to add the deals stack up, they have games as buy one get one half price. Wasn't aware of this until went through the checkout.

Purchased 2 Lunar command ( half price already 9.99) and a Construct a Zurg 9.99 ( also reduced). I thought I would pay £19.98, so pleasantly suprised when I paid £14.98.

@Alemas: ASA = the Advertising Standards Authority. Filled-out a quick form online as the 3-for-2 ad. is misleading.

@Rich69: That's exactly what we did. The real kicker for me is that an expensive set like the Frigate has no limit (whereas others with a similar price bracket do), whilst the Clone Trooper BPs don't have a limit restriction stated either on-line or in-store, yet were refused on the 3-for-2 offer = Madness!

Incidentally, the 2011 Hoth Echo Base set is reduced from £99-99 to £79-99 at the moment.

Toys 'r us are also giving a £10? gift card for spending over £50? On Star Wars Lego in store! I'm not sure of values as I wasn't expecting it when I payed for my MF city train and technic supercar! £100 saved and a voucher to go back with! 8o)

Went to my local Toys 'r us today and got city fire station, police station, and harbour for under 100 pound. I worked it out before going to the till at 124 yet was charged only 98. Wonderful deal, would have loved a millennium falcon,but was informed they had sold out.
