Looks like its already gone.

Posted by Thomson & Thompson in Canada, 27 Nov 2011 17:16

So if I ordered yesterday, I'll still get it, right?

Posted by tiberium_blue in United Kingdom, 27 Nov 2011 17:20

^ If it was included on your invoice when you checked out, then yes.

Mine came last week, thanks to being a VIP. It's a nice set...

I'm not paying $100 worth of Lego but the set looks awesome.

Posted by teal93mr2 in United States, 27 Nov 2011 20:53

I would be very surprised if it last another week.

Good.

^^No.

I grabbed them both via eBay last week. I know, I paid for originally free gifts from Lego, but they're such beautiful little sets, I don't even care :).

This is bad indeed. I had an email stating that the offer ends on Monday - not Sunday at mignight (CET). I have the order ready in my 'basket,' and was gonna order today. Oh well.

@BrianOg I did something similar at the LEGO store. I bought a large set $100+ and it came with an apple set which I think was for a $75 purchase. Well I never got around to opening the set and a couple weeks later I got news of the Christmas set. So I bagged the set and promo apple and took the receipt to the lego store. I told them I'd like to return the set and re purchase it, well after a couple confused looks from employees I basically told them I wanted to do a swap of promo items. Then they understood, they were about to ring everything up and do it all technically, then the employee paused for a second and said nevermind I'll just do it the easy way, so he took the apple and gave me the christmas set, so everything worked out.

Hope this helps

Well, I got the set from the Munich brand store, Bought 10155 Maersk container ship for it at €76,99 then got a discount card at the cash register for another 20%. was also able to buy the first christmas holiday set for €9.95 and got another 10% of those as well, so all in all a very good deal!

@yys4u: thanks for the reply. We have a Lego Store in Paris, but it isn't owned by Lego, it has some strange (French) hybrid status - it gets in exclusive sets etc, but isn't in the VIP scheme at all, as it is owned by some other company. I don't think going into the shop would be an option for me.

I was rather wondering where I could go online to make such a swap (and safely and with confidence o/c)?

Posted by Huw in United Kingdom, 28 Nov 2011 04:24

^ The forum would be a good place to do that, Brian.

Posted by BrianOg in France, 28 Nov 2011 04:28

^ Thanks Huw, I'll try on there

Got mine from the store in Liverpool One yesterday, tried to get the advent calender but that was sold out.

Posted by Chompers in United Kingdom, 28 Nov 2011 09:42

Thank god I ordered at the start of the 10% weekend here in the UK. Got the Maersk Ship, City Advent + a few little sets to get past the £100 mark. Confirmation email came on Saturday, Maersk will be later in December which is fine by me :)

have to say, you would TLG would be more clued up as to stock requirements when running promos like this.

Looks like the set is also sold out at the US Online store. It no longer shows it on the site...

Posted by modena in Italy, 28 Nov 2011 13:15

Oh no... But I never order online, so...

Posted by BigOnBricks in United States, 28 Nov 2011 16:37

Glad I ordered as soon as it was available.

Makes sense. $100 isn't all that hard to spend, and it did say "while supplies last". I managed to get one, because I bought on Friday. I wonder how many they made?

Posted by Thomson & Thompson in Canada, 29 Nov 2011 08:19

^I wonder too.

Posted by gifinim in United Kingdom, 29 Nov 2011 08:59

I had the Christmas set in my shopping basket on Sunday at 8pm, but after I'd added another item it was gone, and hasn't appeared on the final invoice either. Looks like they pulled them even earlier than they said :(

I put an order in on Saturday for the Winter Bakery and Toy Shop. Glad I did not wait. These get a good return on Ebay. Don't think I would spend that much for them. Missed #1 but I like #2 better.

I was lucky enough to receive on at the start of the Black Friday shopping event online. Unfortunately upon opening the shipment box from Lego it had been crushed due to improper packaging of contents. I had sent a nasty gram to Lego but have yet to hear any response.
