The Thanksgiving weekend has come and gone, 2012 sets are already on the shelves in the USA, there are unlikely to be any new product announcements until the New Year, so we could be in for a few slow news weeks.

The only thing I can find of interest, if you're in North America, is that the 2012 Ninjago sets are now available at shop.LEGO.com. These look to be very interesting indeed, but unfortunately we'll have to wait a few more weeks for them to appear here in Europe and the rest of the world...

Here's something else (already announced but worth a reminder): Star Wars Vulture Droid free with The Sun this Saturday, and a Lego City Police Helicopter comes with The Sun the following week (Saturday 10th Dec). :)

Time to bring back Pick of the Week...? :)

Maybe an article about a cute cat stuck up a tree?

The new Ninjago look pretty decent. I'm glad theirs actually a reasonable amount of sets this time (Unlike the flood of sets when they first came out) I'm still waiting for the story to come out :P

Dang, I guess Lego took them off Lego.com? I can't find the new sets....

Posted by ncbarrett in United States, 30 Nov 2011 15:33

@itsaturkey they are still there.

Saw these in Target in Georgia.

The new NinjaGo sets look great! Can't wait to get them!
Does anyone think we in the UK will get them before Christmas? I hate the fact that we never get the new stuff in time for Christmas.
Slightly off topic, but will the Batwing set be £30/$30?

If previous years are anything to go by, 2012 sets will be in the shops the weekend before Christmas in the UK.

Try looking in the 'what's new' section on S@H. That's how i found them.

The scary thing is they actually look to be priced fairly well... at least my price estimate would've been $10 higher. What's also strange is the USA-CAN pricing ratio looks a little better. Who knows, with the right sale I might be able to get these sets earlier than I originally thought.

In my local TRU all the NinjaGo (new sets included) flew off the shelves... I guess a lot of parents wanted that "free stadium with spinner" promo.

Posted by itsaturkey in United States, 30 Nov 2011 19:10

Wow, they're really good prices! I think I can afford to get some of these!

Posted by Berrybrick in United States, 30 Nov 2011 19:24

aquafreak124-yes about the USD, but the British pricing is usually not so equal to US. Unfortunatly, others have to pay more outside of the US.

Slow news week...pick of the week soon?

I saw the new NinjaGo sets at a Target in northern Indiana today.

Why don't we combine the suggestions of bringing back pick of the week with the new Ninjago sets, and do a pick of the week from one of the 2012 Ninjago sets?

The us is lucky because the new sets start appearing in November while were stuck with the ok'd stuff until Lego update their shop page which is often boxing day.

Slow news? But it's almost Christmas! And surely a time when we can legitimately spend money on lego! (Or get that set we bought on sale months ago out of the cupboard and pretend it's a new purchase :D).
What's on your Christmas list @Huw? !

Why not document the daily contents of the advent calendars (or would this spoil the surprise of anybody who doesn't open them in the morning)?

Posted by Huw in United Kingdom, 01 Dec 2011 09:38

^ Nice idea, I might just do that!

a little bit of news:

minifigures.lego.com now has series 6 on it.
