Advent day 4

    Day 4Today in the Star Wars calendar we have an OG-9 homing spider droid, and once again it's a good representation given its size and the number of bricks.

    Day 4 Meanwhile in the City one, we have a prison wall. On its own, it's a bit boring, there's not much I can say about it, I can't even squeeze in a toilet-roll related joke :-(

How sad, no TP jokes! :(

There is a connector in the back of the wall, however, so this is only one section of the prison hopefully! :)

That section connects with a few other sections to form a big police station.

No jokes just a bog standard wall.

You've missed the aerial piece on the bottom of the spider droid there Huw. Anyway, not a bad couple of gifts, the prison wall doesn't set the imagination alight but I'm sure the little police hut it will become part of will be nice!

I think the spider droid is my favorite so far. It's a bit more iconic than the Republic Frigate (being as the latter only got about forty seconds of screen time) and it's pretty darn cute as a model. Plus, when I'm bored, I can pick it up by the top turret and spin it around.

I thought the OG-9 was a 4-way toilet plunger...

So far I'm not too impressed by the City one. I mean, what the brick does toilet roll throwers. cops and robbers and jail got to do with Christmas?! The SW one on the other hand is quite interesting.
I have it! The robbers secret plan! He's going to use the TP to clog the toilet, then the pressure will build up and it will explode, destroying the wall! Ah, I'm a genius :P

@Capn, so I have, thanks :)

@itsaturkey: I actually find it kinda cool, as I own not one police set... :p

@itsaturkey: There's a toilet roll-related joke Huw can use. ;) XD

Huw, here's your joke, look at the third comment from jezzatheshed :o)

The spider droid is pretty cool looking. The city wall is dull at the mo but will create a big police station.

TooMuchLego: Actually, neither do I :P I think it's creative and cool too, I just don't think it's very Christmasy. I'm not trying to burst any bubbles :)
Alemas: Yeah, sadly the robber was misinformed as the police station doesn't have toilet! (At least, the old ones don't! :P

robers fight back with tp

In general, I think that the sets with firemen and policemen are totally overdone. Im saturated with those. So far the Lego City looks like a city with a lot of fire alarms, high criminality rate and a lack of toilet paper on a Christmas ;-)

Perhaps our master criminal is going to use the toilet roll to make a kind of rope so he can climb out of the window and down the side of the building. Or maybe it is a normal wall.

The Spider walker is indeed quite nice. The prison wall seems a little boring. I seem to remember a similar wall int the Knights Advent Calendar last year. Maybe LEGO are running out of ideas :/

I guess there was a dose a reality in this year city advent calendar: http://www.9news.com/news/sidetracks/233959/337/Report-Thieves-target-toilet-paper-at-NM-diner- ;-)

HAHA. Very funny! Makes up for not being able to joke about the prison wall XD

@kazimrd, sounds like Gotham city to me! Being my first LEGO advent calender, its great to open them now, as I have had it since October. Another joke about toilets, the rule about each advent calender being christmassy has gone down the toilet. Bring on half a police station, multi-coloured snowmobiles and a serial killer with an axe this christmas...

@gdelahousse, LOL! That's great -- they ARE toilet rolls then! Thanks for posting :-)
