Brickset has its busiest month ever!

  • Brickset has its busiest month ever!

1 million visits in a monthYesterday was something of a landmark in Brickset's history: it was the first time ever that 1 million visits in a 30 day period were recorded by Quantcast.

According to the stats, in the thirty days up to and including the 4th December, 373,000 people made 1 million visits and viewed 5 million pages. That's 33,333 visits a day, 1388 visits an hour and 23 visits a minute, and just under 2 page views per second.

I'm sure the numbers will go higher in the run-up to Christmas, and if the gradients of the graphs are anything to to go by they could go significantly higher. Let's hope so!

Go figure, yesterday was the first time in 2 years I didn't get to check the site! *lol* I'm usually on here 5-10 times a day browsing the News and Forums... oh well, can't stop myself from getting sick if I still refuse to swallow Vitamin D pills.

Congrats! I know I've been here just about everyday since I discovered the site. It is my go-to site for everything Lego! Keep up the good work! ;)

Congratulations!

Now this is the point most would completely sell out the advertising. DON'T YOU DARE... (I'm joking... sort of.)

Posted by dougts in United States, 05 Dec 2011 15:02

apparently all this traffic has crashed the forum however...

;-)

Congrats to the Brickset team! There is a reason for these numbers: Brickset is currently one of the most complete, comprehensive sources for LEGO news and set details. You know, I had no idea that this site existed until I decided I wanted to find instructions for a LEGO Jedi Starfighter...

Again, congrats! Of course, I would be willing to bet that a lot of those views are from my little brother, who loves to look at NinjaGo sets... :P

While all this is great for Brickset, I have one concern: Can the servers cope with all this traffic? :P

Posted by mikeyob in United States, 05 Dec 2011 16:17

congrats

Wow congrats! It's pretty cool to be part of the BEST Lego site in existence. I know about the deal Brickset has with Lego.com, but I was wondering whether the rush of traffic also gave more money?

Posted by nodnarb162 in United States, 05 Dec 2011 17:26

I agree with everyone above :P I'm glad I found this site, and check it nearly everyday, it always has the latest news on everything and is a great database :) Good job Huw and the Brickset team :P 2 thumps up!
