Sale at shop.LEGO.com starts today

  • Sale at shop.LEGO.com starts today

Posted by Huw, 26 Dec 2011 04:21. Filed under shop.LEGO.com (General).

The sale starts today. There's 33% off some decent sets so keep an eye out throughout the day. Use these links to go directly to the Sales and Deals pages: UK USA | Canada.

I suspect the best stuff -- which, unlike last year, there is some -- will sell out fast, so get your order in quickly.

Nothing new at S@H Canada either, also looking at the deals, half of those sets have been sold out for a long time... :-/

Seems like the discounts were much larger last year or at least there was more that I wanted. Might have to save my money for the 2012 sets.

minifignick - the UK sale has been on since midnight, but you need to click on the item to see the discount......

Posted by ceroknight in Canada, 26 Dec 2011 05:35

^ same with Canada, thank you!

Posted by kwilder in United States, 26 Dec 2011 08:33

Is there anyway to update this to list the current sale price along with the discount?

Posted by Huw in United Kingdom, 26 Dec 2011 08:41

^ Not easily, otherwise I would have!

Is Lego planning on running out of Alien Conquest stock? I haven't even had a chance to by the theme given it has yet to appear at a good enough price.

This website sale seems like it's for the average buyer... as opposed to me who'll buy lots if the discount is deep.

Looks like there are some good sales this year, but by around 11:30 some of the best U.S. deals had already sold out. I am a bit upset that none of the Pirates of the Caribbean sets are on sale, as I think a few were a bit overpriced. Still, there are some good sales out there. I would not agree that last year's sales were worse - as I recall, there were more of them and more sold out quickly because there were some GREAT deals. ;-)

Anyone know whats happened to the sales lists and comments tied to these that were put on this morning?

Posted by Zackula in United States, 26 Dec 2011 13:42

I just bought 3 Banana Balance and 4 Ramses Pyramid. I'm glad I got them before they ran out.

If anyone wants 3648, it is on sale for a good price - the price it should had been at the start IMO. Power boat transporter is also 20% off. There are also some city sets at 20% off as well - including the 2005 motorcycle, $3.19.

However, the motorcycle is out of stock, but will get them shipped 1/14/12.

sale is a bit weak compared to last year - of course last year I found out too late, this year I was ready for it and .... meh. Got some Pharoahs Quest battle packs for £2.50 each which I thought was a good use of my VIP points, and now they just e-mailed to say they are out of stock and will follow later. Pah!

Will conserve my funds for 2012 sets at this point, there is a LOT to want this year....

Yep I'm with you guys on this one other stores are offering better sale prices than Lego.com and I think I'll be spending my hard earned wonga for the superheroes. Shame really I was really looking forward to grabbing some good bargains after last years sold out fiasco!

"Anyone know whats happened to the sales lists and comments tied to these that were put on this morning?" No...but I am wondering the same thing!

Posted by meccanotwitch in United Kingdom, 26 Dec 2011 16:34

Cam'n'Stu, maybe Lego has intervened and sorted out their mistake and asked Huw to remove the comments.

Posted by Huw in United Kingdom, 26 Dec 2011 16:54

^^ I removed the lists as they were too long, not that useful and probably out of date already.

The Walmart stores are having there typical after-Christmas clearance. A bunch of stuff is 50% off to include:
Earth Defence HQ (7066), City of Atlantis (7985), Deep Sea raider (7984), Angler Attack (7979), Mace Windu Jedu Fighter (7868), Slave 1 (8097), SW Advent, Skull truck, Earth Dragon, Nukulas ATV, Turbo Shredder, Grammadon Fortress, and Hoth Battle packs. When I got there, nothing was tagged as on sale, but scanning the box revealed what was on sale. I got a great selection with little competition.

^ Thanks for the info. Just went to my local walmart after reading this. That was a treat. :)

"Ramses Pyramid" was $3.98 in the US sales (now seems to have been removed altogether, yet is still €29.99 for Belgian customers. I seriously don't get why they can practically give it away to one customer yet insist another pays full price. I'd happily buy a dozen or so for €3 each, but apparently I'm not worthy.

The rest of the offers are pretty pathetic. Winter Toy Shop for €44.99? Portal of Atlantis for €79.99 (currently < €60 on Amazon FR, and has been < €70 for a month on various Amazons)? Pharaoh's Quest items have been discounted at Amazon for weeks/months, yet LEGO's own discounts get nowhere near those prices. "The Burrow" has been €44 on Amazon FR for at least a week, yet LEGO's sales price is... €55.99.

(By the way, how rubbish is LEGO's search engine? I search for "Kingdoms" and one of the results is http://shop.lego.com/en-BE/Airport-3182 - seriously?)

Anyone know where the SW Advent Calendar went? It isn't coming up when I search for it.

UPDATE: Kingdom's Joust is now available!

Posted by Tzi in Canada, 27 Dec 2011 10:26

Quite dissapointing indeed. I am still looking to complete my 2011 Ninjago line and none of the sets i'm looking for are on special! :(

At least the Kingdom joust is now available, but i'm dissapointed of the price of the new Ninjago boat!

Is there new sets added during the sell when one is running out?

Posted by Isabella and Lego Liker in United States, 27 Dec 2011 23:22

Got a 2012 Ambulance, the beginner Bricks and More Police set, Ivan Mater, and the garbage truck, for $54 with tax today at my Target.

Why?

They didn't have any of the $3.99 sets, so I was able to get Ivan Mater to replace the $3.99 set and I also got the one of the $20 sets for $13!

Posted by voypro in United States, 28 Dec 2011 07:02

I picked up some Harry Potter poly bags at Target at 50% off, they were $1.99, in the stocking stuffer area.

Is the sale over? The Lego sales link has most of the sale stuff taken down even though it doesn't seem like they didn't sell out of much. Strange since last year they kept discounting until it was gone?
