2012 sets in TRU

Toys R Us in the UK now seem to have a decent stock of 2012 sets including Super Heroes, Dino and City. Chillybreeze101 points out that they are stocking 6857 Dynamic Duo Funhouse Escape, which is proving hard to get hold of elsewhere. The brand stores I've been in are out of stock and although it was briefly available from shop.LEGO.com, it's now out of stock until March.

Are they in TRU Birmingham? Its just down the road from me you see...

I will probably wait until next Saturday 14th when the new argos catalogue to buy the new Superheroes lego.

Just popped into the Southampton branch- had all the Dino & Super Heroes sets. Big banners all over the sides of the store advertising the new Collectable Minifigs... Still a big empty standee in store though!
Of the star wars sets had loads of Y-Wings (I guess this is exclusive to them as retailers, along with the Funhouse) and lots of the planet sets, but no sign of any of the other new Star Wars sets as of yet...

Toys r us Brighton had most of them, all Super Heroes sets, all Dino, all City, all Star Wars except for set 9494. They had Series 6 CMFs too so I spent about an hour feeling through them and made it away with 11 Romans. I have 19 now in total.

^^^ Yep try Toys R Us, they are just putting them out. Also in addition to my post above all the sets are at RRP!!! Very suprised to see this in TRU given there usual inflated prices.

^ Agreed with Smokebelch - very surprised to see RRP at TRU, but very happy to see the funhouse! TRU Derby had all the Superheroes except the big-figs (but got Joker from the Lego store on Tuesday so that's OK!), the new city, Ninjago and Dino sets. Didn't notice 2012 SW sets but if I've got money for Lego i'm not buying re-releases of SW just for unique figs. Series 6 figs were available but they only had a handful in the tub - got another surgeon so I just want more genies and robots now.

A very successful trip to TRU after Milton Keynes Lego store was a bit of a let-down (PAB selection was rubbish, staff were disinterested, didn't want to unpack a delivery to see if they had the funhouse for me after I had driven for 80miles to get there, etc) and the TRU staff were great - might have to revise my opinion of Geoffrey the Giraffe and his minions ;)

I found both my local Target and K-mart were currently stocking the Superheroes lin and had all but "Batcave" and "Dynamic Duo Funhouse Escape." BOTH with MUCH cheaper prices than TRU.

Everyone should not be in a terrible rush to pay TRU's traditional markup. These sets will be EVERYWHERE very soon. Honestly your best bet is Lego.com. (and use the Brickset Link to get there of course)

RE: FUNHOUSE: The Lego catalog call "Dynamic Duo Funhouse Escape" 'hard to find' (which traditionally means 'hard to pay-for') so maybe an exclusive to their website alone.

My Locat Wal-mart,Target,TRU etc only seem to have the action figure superheroes sets. But I got the Superman set at the Downtown Disney lego store in Disneyland. and they have every Superheroes set except the Dynamic duo Funhouse Escape.

I got 6862 Superman vs Lex Luthor today, form TRU Solihull. They didn't have Fun House Esccape though.

Portsmouth TRU very disappointing: Friends, two Ninjago sets and that was it as far as 2012 sets goes. The LEGO section at the back had been contracted to about 1/3rd of its usual size, too.

Posted by skirata74 in United Kingdom, 08 Jan 2012 13:16

just a heads up that toys r us in poole had all but 6858 of the super heroes line in stock ( inc 6857 The Dynamic Duo Funhouse Escape ) but only about 10-12 of each. they also had the dino and friends sets but no new star wars sets.

Posted by Dashofdashing in United Kingdom, 08 Jan 2012 13:22

Toys R Us in Tamworth had every single Starwars,DC AND Batman apart from the 11.99 Joker,Batman and Green Lantern which will come in this week. They also had sets they have never had before Geonosian set with Ki Adi Mundi but had it in,they had all the Ninjago and Friends out for 27th December. Funhouse set is selling out very fast, get down there asap. Dino lego and all new Lego City are also in stock on the feature wall.

@Huw: I know, the Portsmouth store is very disappointing. The LEGO section gets worse every time I go there! It seems to be over taken by K'Nex and those chunky Meccano things :( And have you noticed that the Atlantis and Technic sets are tucked away in the corner, behind another shelf?! Crazy...

Anyway, I'll probably just wait for them to crop up at Argos and Amazon :)

Just been in the Dundee TRU and there is plenty of 6857's .. I counted over 15 on the shelf. Also pretty well stocked with the rest of the Super Hero sets.

@Jacob Wilson - The new Argos catalogue comes out in two weeks time I was told by an Argos staff member.

Posted by CapnRex101 in United Kingdom, 09 Jan 2012 13:49

@Jacob Wilson - I assume so, it usually comes out on Saturday.

Posted by CapnRex101 in United Kingdom, 09 Jan 2012 14:40

@Jacob Wilson - I think they are going to, but probably not set 6857 as that appears to be a TRU exclusive.

Posted by CapnRex101 in United Kingdom, 09 Jan 2012 15:51

@Jacob Wilson - I got it from the Lego shop in Brighton.

Posted by CapnRex101 in United Kingdom, 09 Jan 2012 17:10

@Jacob Wilson - Other than eBay or Bricklink you are unlikely to find it for less than that as that is the RRP.

Toys R Us' website has the Dynamic Duo Funhouse Escape listed online too:

Picked up 2 of the Dynamic Duo Funhouse Escape sets at TRU Poole this morning :)

Asked about the S6 CMF and they won't be getting any in until after their big stock-take on Monday 16th Jan. However, Tower Park Tesco have 2 boxes of S6 CMF, so I got myself a few Centurions.
