New Argos catalogue out today

  • New Argos catalogue out today

The new Argos catalogue is out today, but as they started stocking the 2012 sets on Boxing Day there isn't much new LEGO in it.

They are however stocking three new games: Mini-Taurus, City Alert and the Star Wars game 3866, Battle Of Hoth.

My branch was out of stock but Stuart C, who managed to get one in his local branch, says "32 microfigs including Luke, Han, Chewie, Vader, Boba, Veers, rebels and troopers. Also brick-built AT-ATs, AT-STs, snowspeeders, Tauntaun and two kinds of gun position. Frankly it's so cool I'm tempted to go back to Portsmouth and buy another!"

Huw, Argos also currently has a deal where if you spend £30 on Lego you get a £5 gift card!
Battle for Hoth sounds cool, I'll be buyng it when it gets reduced a bit.

They are also stocking the new Technic Logging Truck, though it's not supposed to be available until march anywhere. I would totally snap it up right now were it not for the fact I just got the Flatbed...

The catalogue has all kinds of goodies in it this time around, it's a shame they are't stocking any Star Wars exclusives though!

I went to the ASDA in Ipswich today and found the hero factory sets in the bags, the fire ATV, Veneromi shrine, Snake & Ninja spinners, the super heroes ultra-build sets, the ninjago booster packs, Ninjago training set, Ninjago starter pack, Star Wars droid escape & the 3 star wars planet sets. :p
EDIT: Forgot to mention the City Alarm game.

What's the RRP for the Star Wars game (in Euros or CHF)?

Was just about to post that the 8110 Unimog was not on their web site :( however thought I'd check again this morning and it is with price reduced to £109.99 save £50!!!! Shame no stock but maybe some on the way?

Argos are heavily discounting the old catalogue stock that does not appear in the new catalogue. They seem to be reducing items on a weekly basis. The difficulty is that you have to search specifically on the site for them, as they are not appearing in the standard view all lego search.

A good example is the Passenger Train 7938. It was £84.99 on Thursday, then £74.99 on Friday. Presumably because it is not featured in the new catalogue.

Definitely worth keeping an eye out on the remaining stock not in the new catalogue.

Unimog is £109.99 on Argos' website, have also seen it in the catalogue. It mentions it's exclusive to Argos (I guess exclusive to high street stores) which is a far cry from the ~£150 price on the Lego site. I've not got it in stock at any of my local stores or online, so not sure what is happening in regards to stock. There's been a few reviews on the Argos site made in 2012 so I presume some stores must have/had them, I've set up a email alert to see if I can grab one of these because, frankly, at £110 I can't *not* afford to get one.

Bought the small dino set, sebulbas planet and 2012 clone battle pack for the sake of the free £5 voucher. At £30.97, it is perhaps the smallest amount to spend to receive the voucher.

When are they ever going to bring Argo's into Canada? With all our department stores going out, we need something new and good.
