German LEGO blog The Brick Time has posted photos of four of the boxes on flickr that were taken at the NY toy fair (If I've understood the Google translation correctly). It looks as if they have been around for a couple of weeks, but they've only just been brought to my attention (thanks Snowtrooper119).

(Update: I've just realised these are perspective-corrected versions of images in the fbtb flickr stream.)

I still believe that Legolas should have had a blonde version of Qui-Gon's hair mould. Regardless, the sets all look amazing!

Sets looks promising. Maybe I will get some to my collection. The new horse seems to be from the Chinese production, just like the cows from the castle theme.

I can't wait for these sets, they look great! I hope the andalf set is £9.99 not £11.99.

Better than I thought prices will likelyy be high so might wait for these to go on sale to pickup the fellowship figs.

Prices are actually moderate from what I've seen of the toy fair pics.. Cheaper than Star Wars sets of the same size, so I'll be picking up a few of them.

@LEGOlas1 But you could tweak the mold a bit, eh? >:D

So which ones are a store exclusive? I thought there were 6 sets?

These look pretty sweet.

I had my doubts after seeing the box art a month ago but these look nice and Helms deep is not too badly priced although I think you will need to buy a few Orc and fighter battle packs -I assume they will have them- in order to help try to get the scope of things

I don't really have any complaints after seeing the pictures. For me, these easily appear to be the best theme/sets of the year. I can't remember how long I drooled over the idea of Lego doing LOTR sets... this is just one line closer to a collector's dream! So long as the series sees popular feedback akin to Starwars, I wouldn't doubt Lego would become more bold with their designs.

Yes, these sets are still awesome. Oh, and Huw, you've "undertood" the Google translation?

I can't really tell but it doesn't look like they fixed gandalfs beard. In the poster with all the fellowship he looked odd because he didn't have any hair in the back, and a lot of us agreed the beard should have gone around the back of the head.

Buy buy buy buy. That's what I'll be doing.

While I'm not a fan of Lord of the Rings I must say that these sets look excellent. I really like the use of the masonry brick in the set design. I'm tempted to pick up a few of these sets.

@yys4u: It would be more realistic, however all LEGO beards are like this, so I don't think they would change.

I just did a review on my YouTube channel for the 4wd with Horse Trailer, and I said I thought it might be time to redesign the horse, and they did! I must be channeling LEGO somehow... LOL

The new horse looks great! It looks more a horse. And the behind legs can move. Really cool! I can't wait for june!!!!!!!!!!

^^ I think Hobbits will eat pretty much anything, and seem to really like their veggies. They have one heck of a metabolism. :-) I think one of the hobbits is getting ready to stew a carrot on the Weathertop set box top, so they may really, really like carrots. Or, maybe the carrot is for the horse? :-)
