That was a short survey. It said there will be an in-depth survey next month. I wonder what they are going to ask in that?

@LEGOlas1: I don't know if it was completely pointless...knowing what age group of people that are taking the survey may help them to know what q's they should ask in the "more in-depth" survey.

I agree with you there LegoAthos, but it all adds to the next survey in Late March/Early April one, I guess.
Still, At least LEGO are making an effort to make improvements.

Maybe they made such a simple survey just to know how many responses they will gonna get in designated time? Otherwise I see not much of a point here.

@all, I'm guessing it was more to collect data on age and location of the online lego community so they can gear their questions for the next survey more speciffically.

At least it gives you an opportunity to voice your concerns over the increased use of Chinese sourced parts, so if such things worry you then I encourage you to say that you don't recommend LEGO as much as you used to because of the decline in quality.

That was an extremely short survey. I didn't think to remark over Chinese parts. I should have read these comments first.

I was a bit miffed to have to put my age in..... I wish they could have just asked "over 21" or something like that. I hate admitting that I'm over 50.... I don't see how that will actually help them.

They didn't ask gender? But then this is a EU company, and asking age and gender in the EU countries is a sticky question.

Even from such a short survey, due to the "reflective" question, TLG can strip out key words. They can register specific Lego lines which are mentioned in both a positive and negative context in the minds of specific age groups, and actually trend the attitudes of buyers in specific settings.

I write surveys twice a year... or I should say that I teach the skill sets connected to quality survey writing twice a year. I often have my students run a shortened version of their survey in order to locate "unexpected" reactions from their audience(s). Though short, this specific survey (in my opinion) offered greater value than the much longer version offered last fall.

In the end, they are data mining, and data mining is the oil which powers the corporate machine within this information age.

(sigh) I wish there wasn't just a 13-17 category. There is a significant maturity change in that area, and most people I know dropped their Lego around 14. Us TFOL's over that age are probably assumed to be in the 13 category and not the 17.

Can we all stop with the Chinese Lego please?

I have found that some parts which are made in China are better than others.

Example: Wonder Woman-
Torso+Head made in Denmark
Legs,Hair and Lasso made in China.

I noticed that their was a printing smudge on the torso, whether this is because it was printed in either Denmark or Mexico,Czech Republic or Hungary

But some parts made in China have been bad as well.

Example: Statue of Liberty Figure
All made in China
The printing for torso and dress were out of line.

I guess what you could say is all I want is for their to be better printing.

^The printing on minifigures usually doesn't line up. I am mostly fine with chinese parts, except for minifigure legs. They feel so much cheaper when you hold them.

Wonder Woman's torso was printed in Denmark? DANG! Mine was missing the majority of its printing.
