    10155: Maersk Line Container Ship
    Advanced Models/Maersk, 2010
    More details...
    ©2010 LEGO Group

One of the best sets ever made, 10155 Maersk container ship, is available once more from shop.LEGO.com in Europe. Its price has been reduced, too, from £102 to £82 in the UK and from €109 to €87 in Germany.

This set, and the one it replaced (10152, different stickers), have been available on and off since 2004 which is pretty remarkable because I'm sure at the time in 2004 LEGO said that it would be a short run and the last set to use Maersk blue because they had no more granulate in that colour...

So, If you don't already have one, I highly recommend you buy it now before it really is too late. As I say, it is one of the finest models ever released.

(Thanks bezetkace who emailed and roxio in the forum for the news)

Typo in the heading Huw. I don't seem able to change it. shop = ship.

Thanks, I have shops on the brain today :-)

Posted by DaddyDeuce in United States, 06 Mar 2012 11:42

How do I order one in the United States?

Posted by Huw in United Kingdom, 06 Mar 2012 11:49

It doesn't seem to be available in NA: I suspect LEGO found a stash at the back of their warehouse in Europe so it's available only in countries that are served from there.

Anybody willing to order and ship for me to the US. With double points, free shipping and the fact that it's on sale hopefully we could work something out where we both get a good deal. If anybody is interested please let me know, I've been wanting to get one of these for a while now.

hey, got my first front page mention !

LOL - Congrats @Roxio. :oD

Posted by Markey in Belgium, 06 Mar 2012 16:40

I ordered a Maersk ship, €87 is a pretty good deal.

Posted by LostInTranslation in United Kingdom, 06 Mar 2012 16:51

Flump- where are you?! ("N/A"?)
Is this proof that you really do live in a place so bad even Brickset can't bring itself to name it?? :P

Token on-topic-ness: hmm should I buy one of these just for Maersk blue bricks? Probably no, should be saving my pennies :-)

Posted by Thomson & Thompson in Canada, 06 Mar 2012 16:57

Too bad that it won't be available in NA.

Posted by yolani in Germany, 06 Mar 2012 16:59

i'm pretty sure NA means North America;-)

Lego said they were doing the 10152 to use up the last of the Maersk blue granulate. But it sold so well that they did a second production run of 10152, using a new load of granulate (in a slightly different shade). And of course; since then as well as the 10155 re-issue, we've had the Maersk train too . . .

N/A means 'not applicable'; so he's probably using an anonymiser ... or he's transcended mere mortal existence?

Great that the Maersk ship is available again, even if only for a few hours/days.

^ Don't give him ideas! :-)

Well I have submitted and ordered one due to the High Recomendation from Huw. plus free shipping and vip rewards. I have gotten into ships lately. Been collecting the older Lego boats. Shame this dose not have a hull that floats on water, maybe on the next re-release.

Posted by Venunder in United Kingdom, 06 Mar 2012 19:53

I have one of these and it is a good model.
It would need to be about 6 times larger to be close to scale with the harbour, other lego ships and container lorries!!!

Posted by legopants in United Kingdom, 07 Mar 2012 03:25

Ordered for €87 from LEGO Germany minus €20 VIP points + free p&p = €67 => BARGAIN.

Posted by MarcelMaster in Germany, 07 Mar 2012 07:54

I've ordered it a few moths ago for 76,99€ at sale but if i haven't i'd buy it now.

Posted by Galactus in Netherlands, 07 Mar 2012 08:58

Just ordered it. I'm in NL. Thanks for the heads up!

Posted by Sparky Ham in Hong Kong, 07 Mar 2012 11:29

Hey, is this mini figure scale?

Posted by bezetkace in Poland, 07 Mar 2012 14:43

Nope.

Posted by GothamConstructionCo in United Kingdom, 07 Mar 2012 19:36

I chose the train over the ship as I thought the train would look great going around under the christmas tree with
Some little presents on the wagons.

Huw, with regard to the Brickset database, can you correct the listing title for 853378-1 http://www.brickset.com/detail/?Set=853378-1 the title "firemen" is incorrect -- it is a LEGO® CITY Accessory Pack of "Firefighter" minifigures.

Thanks! :-)

As for the Maersk ship, how far of a shade gradient is Maersk blue from Azure blue?

Posted by Huw in United Kingdom, 08 Mar 2012 08:50

^ I'll change our title so as not to imply their gender :-)

Maersk blue is slightly greener than the normal blues in LEGO's palette.

Posted by Nesquik in United Kingdom, 08 Mar 2012 11:05

I don't see what the big deal is with this set. I'd honestly take the Maersk train over this any day, and at least that's minifig scale.

It seems to be already sold out: you can't find it anymore on the shop website. BTW, mine will be shipped soon...

I never knew this existed until I got my 2012 Lego calendar.
