Is the site slow today?

I've been seeing more database timeouts than usual today. Is the site behaving OK for you or is it slow or not working properly? Perhaps you could let me know.

Posted by gratefulnat in Switzerland, 07 Apr 2009 13:39

When I browse with Mozilla Firefox I notice nothing, but with IE it sure is slow for me - maybe chrisdog121411 is right.

Yesterday, and to a lesser extent today, I've been getting timeout messages for brickset (& brickish), on several different computers (WinXP + Firefox, & Vista + Firefox, MacBook + Firefox). No problems on any other websites.

Totally fine here.

I'm glad to hear it's fine for everyone. Whenever there's an error on the site I receive an email notification so I can keep an eye on its health. Normally I get 10 or so a day but today I'm receiving 2-3 a minute. I guess given that there are, on average, about 500 hits a minute it's not very many but it's still higher than normal and more than I would like.

I've asked the host to check things out; hopefully it'll stop soon.

It seems a tiny, tiny bit slower, but that's okay. ;)

Posted by cvillone in United States, 07 Apr 2009 15:22

Site is SLOW for me and searches that should return result, return nothing. ie I searched on castle and it came up with a blank screen. Just did it now.

Posted by ARC170Dinofighter in Canada, 07 Apr 2009 17:56

It's good for me, but there's a small glitch that no matter how many times I refresh my minifigs, It will not count my Droidikas from Final Duel 1 or 2.

Posted by HawkUnit in United States, 07 Apr 2009 18:26

I agree with jonbuddy. It's slow sometimes but it's mainly fine.

Posted by drewtheskater in United States, 07 Apr 2009 19:14

The minifigure update took a little longer than normal, but everything else seems just fine.

Everyting is fine for me with mozila and IE.

Posted by Trandoshan in Canada, 08 Apr 2009 09:35

It's actually fast for me, I was on the Wii internet earlier and it went smoothly.

Posted by noahlapidus in United States, 08 Apr 2009 09:49

Something is definitely off. It's slow, but only when doing certain database queries - in particular browsing for sets. Outside of that, I'm not sure anything would be noticed. This slowness for the "browse" section is completely independent of browser/platform or IP address.

Posted by bionicle101 in United States, 08 Apr 2009 10:26

Fast as usual :-)

Posted by Retsnom Kcor in United States, 08 Apr 2009 10:45

Posted by Morgan19 in United States, 08 Apr 2009 10:53

No problem here, either (Firefox 2, Mac).
