Wow this is a brilliant review! It makes me want to go out and find all the figures I am missing. :)

Posted by CapnRex101 in United Kingdom, 24 Mar 2012 09:44

How long until their released? Any ideas anyone?

Posted by Huw in United Kingdom, 24 Mar 2012 09:45

April in the UK, I believe.

Thanks. Looking forward to it...

I just got my series 6 :P

It must be coming out soon, since there is a bunny in there :)
Definably want some of the space marine / galaxy patrol. Im already imagining some spaceships right now to build

I agree, what a brilliant review. Series 7 is an other "must-have" this year....

Posted by Firox 5000 in United Kingdom, 24 Mar 2012 12:17

At the figures, the Spartans have to be the space warrior, evil knight, Neptune, aztec, bagpiper amd guitar girll with the bunny boy and jungle boy being the crash test dummies.

Thank you Huw for sharing a link with the Brickset community! I hope all of you are feeling excited about the new Series 7.

Tough call on whether Series 7 is better than Series 6 in either case both are going to be tough to top...Lego has some serious work to do. It's just great to have a vast variety of accessories for Minifigs these days, they've come a long way since there humble beginnings.

Posted by Mickitat in Germany, 24 Mar 2012 14:35

I have to say I am pretty underwhelmed. I might even skip series 7 and only pick up a couple of programmers for the laptop. Most of the figs are remakes and some look odly plain.

Posted by TBOC in United States, 24 Mar 2012 14:41

This is gonna be tough, maybe The Malevolance can wait a few weeks...

Posted by Gandalf1 in United States, 24 Mar 2012 15:19

Not yet...

Posted by Zrath in United States, 24 Mar 2012 16:29

The Rocker Girl looks an awful lot like Jem. (Kids, ask your parents)
The Aztec Warrior is pretty fantastic and I want several of those space marines.
The C prompt on the programmer's mug is a nice touch. :)
I'm amused that they made what is essentially an Evel Knievel minifig (daredevil).
(Parents, ask your grandparents) :D

Thank you WhiteFang! I've been lurking on EB ever since your Series One review, its been a great tradition thats great to read. As always, I'l be buying all of them. Love the Lego logo on the laptop, and the classic space logo on the Space Marine's armor. As a classic space lover, I know exactly where hes going in my collection. For the sixth series in a row, bye bye money...

Wow. That's a really great review! I feel that, though this is not my personal favorite series, this is the most even series. By that I mean that there does not seem to be a definite loser, as other series have had. That might just be my opinion though :)

Posted by xccj in United States, 24 Mar 2012 18:38

Wait, the Galaxy Patrols come five to a box? That's awesome, I would've expected them to be one of more rare ones to find.

Posted by Zacherano in United States, 24 Mar 2012 19:02

These figures look awesome! A great review, and potentially my favorite series and one of the best for minifig collectors.

Posted by voypro in United States, 24 Mar 2012 20:35

The sort is nearly perfect. I would have made one small adjustment 4 aztec warriors and 3 tennis pros (instead of the other way around) Crappier figures should always be the shortest in the box... we need some reason to want them.

Also, Lego should have went with "computer nerd" instead of "programmer" . Nerd stopped being a negative term a long time ago.

Posted by Zordboy in Australia, 24 Mar 2012 20:59

Jungle boys? Is Tarzan still a copyrighted name? Heh.

Posted by madforLEGO in United States, 24 Mar 2012 22:16

@yovpro: Agreed, I wish they'd put the less sought after (or guess, which is easy to do, which are the less sought after) as the 'rare', which will force people to get them if they want a complete set, because I know what will happen, everyone will feel all the packs and take all the aztec warriors and Poseidons before others can get one...

I like the comment about the representation of Lego girls in the sets. I think we should push Lego to make more models that can be boy or girl. A lot of times it would only take a different head and hair... Frankly I think most of the collectible girl models are particularly awful compared to even the most basic townies... The "painted on boobs" is what wrecks the models for me because it makes those parts "girl-only" which is a totally non-Lego thing to do.

Whitefang always does killer reviews with the figs. Have to admit, I'm pretty happy with every figure in this series. ALL have great potential for Moc's, adding to existing lines...man...just great stuff. Oh, plus mucho army building with many figs here.

Some pleasant surprises that weren't visible from the leaked pic:

- The Valkyrie's skirt. Overall, she looks much better than on that first picture.
- The nerd's laptop.
- The daredevil's white cape.
- Classic space logo on the space marine, also the two-sided head.
- The medal on the swimmer is an individual piece, rather than printed on.
- New armor on the knight.
- The bagpiper's cloth skirt.

The only lame one here seems to be the tennis ace.

As far as I know offical release for Series 7 is May not April. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Posted by Ben J in Germany, 25 Mar 2012 08:33

The German catalogue says May.

Posted by MaverickDengo in United States, 25 Mar 2012 09:46

This series looks like it will be one of the best yet! I can't wait to get it!

One funny thing I noticed though: They printed underpants on the bagpiper... Though, I guess that's better then him not having any underpants... :P

Posted by OracabessaGirl in Canada, 25 Mar 2012 14:50

Can't wait...this looks like it will be my favourite series!

Posted by Doctor Leg O'Brick in United Kingdom, 25 Mar 2012 15:02

Routemaster, Thego in the forum (and posted the same comment on EB) said he found Series Seven (in the UK, Southsea) in John Lewis today and bought some of them. The offical release date is April 1st in the UK I think.

Posted by AllanSmith in New Zealand, 25 Mar 2012 15:38

New Zealand release date is May.

Posted by Kez in United Kingdom, 25 Mar 2012 15:41

According to play.com they are going to be released on the 6th April for £1.99 in the uk.

Posted by goldfish in United Kingdom, 26 Mar 2012 12:13

In stock at John Lewis Solihull as of today. £1.95 per packet.

Posted by Kalhiki in United States, 27 Mar 2012 17:01

Looks like an excellent wave of figs.
Definitely be getting the Black Knight and Space Marine. Also possibly the Bagpiper, Aztec Guy, and Little Red.

Posted by yani777 in United States, 30 Mar 2012 07:37

There is one thing- minifig #2 is not an Aztec Warrior, but an Incan Warrior. The Incas were rich in gold and used it for many things. On the shield, there is a condor, an animal valued by the Incas. If it was an Aztec- where did it get the gold and somehow find out about condors?
