    8831: LEGO Minifigures Series 7 {Random bag}
    Collectable Minifigures/Series 7, 2012
    More details...
    ©2012 LEGO Group

We've now had a couple of reported sightings of Series 7 minifigures in John Lewis stores across the UK. So far they've been spotted in Southsea and Glasgow. Does your store have them? Let us know in the comments below. Let's hope they hit the rest of the world soon!

Thanks to Thego and S_Hollins in the forum.

Update: We've now heard that most John Lewis stores nationwide have stock of these, but each store has only one or two boxes, so they're being bought up quickly by resellers. I've also heard back from several W H Smith stores, and they have all said that they expect stock this Thursday. Thanks for all the tips

Appropriate that a series with a Bagpiper should hit in Scotland first.
If a series comes out containg a Hillbilly I demand it be released here in Kentucky first.

Posted by Graysmith in Sweden, 25 Mar 2012 17:29

voypro,

I think those hillbillies you're talking about are in the new City Forest Police sets. ;)

Loving this news! These look like perhaps the best series ever, although series 6 is a tough act to follow...

Posted by legoninja0701 in United States, 25 Mar 2012 17:48

sweet! ill be loking out for them at john lewis stores then. infact ill go right now! i love these minis!

Posted by Matthew in United Kingdom, 25 Mar 2012 18:00

^ I think you'll find that a bit difficult, as they're a UK only chain...

Posted by LukeSkywalker in Ireland, 25 Mar 2012 20:14

I think they'll be available from Smyths in Ireland from Thursday. The website says April 1, but they typically put the new stock out on the Thursday before the official availability date. Can't wait!

Posted by voypro in United States, 25 Mar 2012 20:43

Like everything since series 3, these will be everywhere soon enough, their is NO rush.

I want everyone to remember original SRP (suggested retail price) was $1.50. Supply did not met demand on ser 1 & 2 and gouging started...remember reports of $4.99 at USA stores??? Lego saw the ridiculous price gouging that some store (i.e. ones with backward "R's" in their name) were getting and move the price point.

When we Lego chumps kept paying it... Lego smelled blood and DOUBLED the SRP.

Well since supply is out weighing demand isn't it time for Lego to LOWER the SRP??

Posted by yys4u in United States, 25 Mar 2012 22:04

^ The suggested retail price of Series 1 was 1.99 though...

Posted by voypro in United States, 25 Mar 2012 22:48

I stand corrected. then Lego up their price by 50%

Posted by yys4u in United States, 26 Mar 2012 01:16

^ Still agree with your point though. It was crazy to see TRU mark up series 2 as high as 5 bucks. And it sucked to see CMF SRP raised to 3 bucks AND to stop including spare parts. I never stopped to consider whether or not the price should drop down though, as the demand has dropped slightly. (Its hard to tell if the demand has dropped or the supply is just large enough to reach demand) Regardless, there is still excess series 5, 6 and soon to be 7 so it would be nice to see them drop the price. Doubt it would ever happen though.

Posted by bluemoose in United Kingdom, 26 Mar 2012 02:59

In the UK (the country this news story is about), the price has been consistent since series 1 - £1.99

Posted by legoyt in Australia, 26 Mar 2012 05:12

Wow, your lucky! I hope series 7 comes in Australia in about April? I will have too see if you can pre-order them now.

Posted by Gandalf1 in United States, 26 Mar 2012 09:55

Wow... It seems only a couple of weeks ago that I was going into the store for S6 for the first time. Well, I guess we did get them late and this right now is early... Very awesome series, and I hope to get the hippie and the space marine first off.

Posted by Zander in United Kingdom, 26 Mar 2012 10:08

They have them at John Lewis in Kingston. I got Tarzan, the Viking maiden, bride and Scotsman earlier today. However, they only had a few packets left with none in stock and no idea when more were due.

Posted by cheshirecat in United Kingdom, 26 Mar 2012 11:03

With £5 off a £15 spend on books, toys and games at WHSmith (with privilege club) its surely worth waiting a few days.

Posted by LostInTranslation in United Kingdom, 26 Mar 2012 11:43

@cheshirecat: wise words. Patience is the key to joy. But I want my minifigs now!

Posted by nameloc in United Kingdom, 26 Mar 2012 14:06

i need these! lol

so far ive bought a whole of box of each series purely for myself. oneon display and the rest for mixing and matching. (even made a hoff to go with the lifeguard 'pammie')

Posted by LostInTranslation in United Kingdom, 26 Mar 2012 16:40

Oxford street sold out of CMFs already ... but they did have Marvel sets...

Posted by The BrickKeeper in United States, 26 Mar 2012 18:05

When are they supposed to be released in the U.S.?

Posted by spency13 in United States, 26 Mar 2012 23:26

Can't wait, but I bet us Americans have to wait longer, huh? >:/

Posted by Andhe in United Kingdom, 27 Mar 2012 04:25

[Redacted for fear of internet prosecution] Naughty resellers! ... Freedom of figs for all!

Posted by mh in Poland, 27 Mar 2012 05:31

Just found them in wh smiths in Reading. Had about 8 full boxes.

Posted by wildcherryp3psi in United States, 27 Mar 2012 11:54

I hope my mum can get some for me in the UK before they hit the US, she always has a laugh telling the people at the checkout that she is buying for her 37 year old son.

Posted by mrwhizzard in United Kingdom, 27 Mar 2012 18:01

Picked up 8 at WH Smith Cardiff for just over 10ukp this afternoon :)

Posted by NeilMartin in United Kingdom, 28 Mar 2012 09:57

Three Series 7 boxes were being put out on display as I walked into the Telford WHSmith at lunchtime today. There are only 2 boxes now :-) but I will be bringing 2/3 of the box I purchased to the Brickish Association AGM.

Best Wishes
Neil

Posted by LostInTranslation in United Kingdom, 28 Mar 2012 10:51

^ Cool, might have to buy some off you there if I'm still desperately seeking series 7 by then ;-)

Posted by JRDA0406 in United Kingdom, 28 Mar 2012 11:26

I've just come on to add my series 7 sets to my 'sets I own' but perhaps I'm too early.....

I bought five today from John Lewis, Solihull.
No duplicates so far.

Edit: and with regards to the Americans who can't get these yet - we often have to wait ages for things you have first, like films (movies) until only a few years ago! And Pokemon cards I remember were being Imported from the states as our shops didn't have the latest sets.

Posted by capnbootle in United Kingdom, 28 Mar 2012 12:16

Bought five packs today from WHSmiths Hastings - they had two boxes on display

Posted by Matthew in United Kingdom, 28 Mar 2012 12:30

^^ Marked as released for you now.

Posted by jongoodall in United Kingdom, 29 Mar 2012 06:25

Does anyone have a link to the whsmiths vouchers that you can print off? I remember links being posted here before.... Usually it's ones like £5 off when you spend £15 or £12 on toys. Cheers :-)

Posted by tazzy in United Kingdom, 29 Mar 2012 07:49

Hi
Just to let you all know WHSmiths in newport south wales does have the series7 instock.

Posted by Delatron in United Kingdom, 29 Mar 2012 08:09

Limited numbers of series 7 in John Lewis Aberdeen yesterday but no Marvel sets other than the Captain America big-fig. Got half a dozen S7 - loving the galaxy patrol guy, hippy and Geek.

And as with Jongoodall, if anyone can post the link to club vouchers for WH Smiths i'd be grateful - i'll search for them in the meantime.

Posted by xcrossx in United Kingdom, 29 Mar 2012 10:25

NOW IN TESCO!!!!!

I just had 5 whole boxes to go through and would have got an army of knights together if I had time.
Got 11 and hoping they are all different.

Posted by xcrossx in United Kingdom, 29 Mar 2012 10:40

Booooooo! I got 3 Aztec Warriors and two Hippies!
Has anyone else found that this series is quite hard to decipher which is which?

Posted by djs666 in United Kingdom, 29 Mar 2012 11:30

I can confirm three full sets plus extras in a box. WH Smith Swindon Got a couple of boxes put aside for me, there are currently three boxes left in store but they'll be getting more next week... Aztec Warrior and Galactic Enforcer are easiest to feel out in the packs! the headgear/backpacks are huge!

Posted by Renegade007cjh in United Kingdom, 29 Mar 2012 13:50

For "jongoodall" & "Delatron" (and anyone else interested), the only WHSmith vouchers I could find were £5 off a £20 spend (which still equates to a 25% discount...):

http://www.whsmithforms.co.uk/privilegeclub/vi/Wk125offWYS20voucher.pdf

To maximise your discount, buy them in increments of 10 x figures (10 x £1.99 = £19.90) then add a copy of The Sun (I know, I know) for £0.30 to take you over the £20 threshold: cost is therefore £20.20 - £5.00 = £15.20 / 10 = £1.52 per figure...

You should be able to use as many vouchers as you like, as long as you do separate transactions and do actually possess multiple vouchers, as you need to surrender them each time - so print lots (it helps if you smile and ask the staff nicely if this is okay).

Hope this helps!

Hoping my local Tesco gets some for the weekly shop this Sunday.

Posted by The solitary dark in United Kingdom, 30 Mar 2012 16:24

WHSmith in Staines had half a case left this afternoon - Only got there 10 minutes before closing, and had my son shouting 'FIND TRITON' at me the whole time. Found 5 Tennis Ace's in the 20 or so figures so took one and managed to identify a Triton, then grabbed 2 more at random.
And they were a Computer Programmer and a Galaxy Patrol!!!!!
Will be out checking the local Tesco's tomorrow as my Daughter was disapointed - She wanted Bunny Guy and Bride.
Store manager did tell me they only had the one box in stock.

Posted by ensign_dave in United Kingdom, 31 Mar 2012 02:24

I'd like to say a MASSIVE thankyou to Renegade007cjh. Using the voucher posted I got a huge 25% reduction on the full box I got from WHSmiths in Cirencester yesterday.
Any news if there's variations to what's in the full boxes? Can list what was in my complete box once I've gone through them.

Posted by minifignick in United Kingdom, 31 Mar 2012 06:03

I too would like to say a MASSIVE thank you to Renegade007cjh I printed the voucher out this morning on the off chance Plymouth WHSmiths would have some in stock Full box both upstairs and down Didn't have time to feel each bag so just asked for ten Got my lovely discount and no doubles ! So now have a Piper, Valkyrie, Black Knight, Galactic Patrol, Swimmer,Tennis Player,80's Rocker,Computer Geek, Neptune and Monkey Boy The others will have to wait till need week Right back to the MOC'S

Posted by Renegade007cjh in United Kingdom, 31 Mar 2012 09:46

To all of the above that's used the voucher I posted: glad I could help and that you all managed to get your hands on a decent amount of figures for a bargain price! I, too, purchased a full-box worth and am working my way through. It's still fun / good practice to feel the packet before opening, to keep those skills sharpened - 100% success rate so far!!! Now starts the fun part of trawling through what's left in-store to build my own army of Space Marines (aka Galaxy Patrol)...

Good luck to everyone else in your hunts!

Posted by Doctor Leg O'Brick in United Kingdom, 31 Mar 2012 12:31

^Thank you so much! I managed to get 15, 11 unique in WHS Erdington, Birmingham. I'm saving for The Avengers sets, and any saving on this series is greatly accepted. The voucher worked perfectley.
