Finally, NZ gets something first! =)

I want the star wars sets to come out in the USA so badly!!!!

Posted by fujikuro in United States, 23 May 2009 21:28

Wow, that tank droid is a must-have, as is the Echo Base, Seperatist Shuttle and Endor set.

Posted by Kobacca in United States, 23 May 2009 21:45

Hopefully moving to the U.S. soon......I can hear the taun-taun calling.....

Posted by rainstorm26 in Europe, 23 May 2009 21:51

How much do they cost in NZ?

Posted by dmcbuilder501 in United States, 23 May 2009 23:18

are the jet packs actual jetpacks?

Posted by c.lee.r in United States, 23 May 2009 23:53

WOW can hardly wait.t with everything lately in the USA i have to wait. Going to buy them at my local LEGO store when they come out and it is a double stamp day also.(may have to wait several more months for that though)

Posted by Commander-Cody in United Kingdom, 24 May 2009 05:37

@ dmcbuilder501: yes.

I reckon the Star wars sets won't come out in the Uk for at least another month yet.
I'm sure we'll know when they come out here though. I'll visit my TRU again sometime in mid-June for an update. I believe these are the UK prices (for non-exclusives or specials):

Echo Base: £20
Corporate Alliance Droid: £20
Separatist Shuttle: £30
Y Wing Starfighter: £40
The Battle of Endor: £70
Venator Class Cruiser: £80

Posted by clone commander trainrex in United States, 24 May 2009 05:38

Oh well, I guess we still have to wait. Hope it comes to the US soon

Posted by Sam Butcher in New Zealand, 24 May 2009 05:55

Yeah JP posted this over in the NZ corner of EB. It's $48.99NZD which is pritty average, and i'll pass seeing as it's CW. But still, I'm so amazed that NZ get a SW set early! My local warehouse also has the 3 new Power Miners sets along with a new creator set.

It's too bad that this is the only set found. I went hunting 'round all the warehouses in my area yesterday and this was the only SW set they had. Too bad.

Posted by Alemas in Germany, 24 May 2009 07:02

Wow, that's great! Star Wars sets are finally showing up!

Posted by ShatteredGnome in United States, 24 May 2009 11:14

I really like this set, and will probably get it eventually. Good balance of clones and droids.

I'm pretty sure these are the US prices for the Star Wars line second wave:
Corporate Alliance Tank Droid $24.99
Echo Base $24.99
Mid Scale Millenium Falcon $29.99
Separatist Shuttle $29.99
Pirate Tank $29.99
Anakin's Y-wing Starfighter $59.99
The Battle of Endor $99.99
Home One Mon Calimari Star Cruiser $109.99
Venator-Class Republic Attack Cruiser $119.99

Posted by legomarsfan in Bulgaria, 24 May 2009 12:55

Oh, man too bad i live in bulgaria the only sets that are in my town are bionicle, creator and realy rarely city sets

Posted by Alemas in Germany, 24 May 2009 13:50

So, how's the set? Is it any good?

Posted by r3s6714 in United States, 24 May 2009 14:46

ahhhhh when in the us

Posted by R4-G9 in Canada, 24 May 2009 15:50

when do you think they will be in canada?

Posted by dfenz in United Kingdom, 24 May 2009 19:13

Legoland Gunzburg had the following star wars sets in stock on Thursday 21st/ Friday 22nd. I believe TRU Germany also has these.

Corporate Alliance Tank Droid (€25)
Echo Base (€25)
Separatist Shuttle
Anakin's Y-wing Starfighter (€69.99)
The Battle of Endor (€99.99)
Venator-Class Republic Attack Cruiser (€139.99)

The shop also had the two impulse space police sets.

Posted by FrozenPea in Australia, 25 May 2009 06:54

Can't believe NZ beat us with this set!

Posted by bluemoose in United Kingdom, 25 May 2009 17:02

Guys, *please* keep this on topic.

This is absolutely NOT the place for discussing your personal political views.

Insulting people, but saying you don't mean to insult them, is still insulting them.

Ignoring timing of releases for the moment, what sets are available in any particular store, in a particular country, depends largely on what those stores order. LEGOs range of sets is largely based on what they think will sell in their primary markets (US, Western Europe), and what their main retailers (e.g. TRU) say they want. Other markets/retailers may decide that the sets on offer won't sell well to their customers & not buy them from LEGO for onward sale. There are times, especially when new sets are released, that LEGO can't meet demand, but it usually balances out after a month or two.

Again, please keep it on topic & keep it polite.

Ian

(In most humble & polite tone possible)

I'm jealous. This is one of the "must have" CW sets. Jet pack troopers and the tank droid from the Battlefront game for (hopefully) under $25. This one and Echo base can't come soon enough.

Posted by nelsonjr00 in United States, 25 May 2009 21:25

My 4th post = my 1st double post...

Grahame never answered... how cool is this set? Did he just find it or does he own it and can tell us how cool it is?

Posted by Roncanator in New Zealand, 25 May 2009 22:52

Yea i bought this at the warehouse on the weekend.

I went round every toystore in town to see if they had any other sets that i could get but it was only the tank droid and there was only three of them!

Posted by ET in United States, 26 May 2009 00:07

Why does it seem that the SW sets are available everywhere BUT the US?

Posted by SuperSN in N/A, 26 May 2009 01:41

Now THAT looks cool.

Posted by LAC in United States, 26 May 2009 13:02

I called the Lego Customer Service today and was told that the Star Wars: Clone War sets will be in the July/Summer Shop@Home catalog.

Posted by mahoney1978 in United States, 26 May 2009 22:53

I can confirm too....The Warehouse in Wellington NZ has got set 7749 and it looks great. Personally I think it is quite pricey for what you get (NZD$48.95) but 5 mini figs, a Taun Taun, Gun Turret etc.......

Posted by mahoney1978 in United States, 26 May 2009 22:54

Ha ha...thinks I live in the USA because of my IP address....sorry guys, not trying to pull a fast one here, I am infact in NZ and set 7749 is for sale in the Warehouse.

Posted by ShatteredGnome in United States, 26 May 2009 23:30

@LAC: Cool! I was hoping they would release earlier than August, as they previously said, even if only a month earlier. Gotta save up for this set and Separatist Shuttle. Although I might have to wait and get some of last year's sets before they get discontinued... next year. :]

Posted by bionicleboynat in New Zealand, 27 May 2009 00:10

i saw new power miners at farmers new zealand!

Posted by hgd_187 in United States, 27 May 2009 09:08

Pirate Tank- $44.99
Home One- $109.99
Corporate Alliance Tank Droid- $24.99

The Battle Of Endor- $99.99

Posted by LAC in United States, 27 May 2009 10:46

I hope the Venator"s Price isn't set at $199, i mean it has around the same piece count as the Republic Gunship and it looks very similar in construction to set 6211 which was only $100. If TLC tries to sell it for much more than that, they've officially lost it.

Posted by The Green Brick Giant in United States, 27 May 2009 11:25

They officially lost it a long time ago, and so did the fans who are very willing to pay the insane prices.

Posted by Republic Commando Sev in United States, 27 May 2009 12:57

Guys, at the Toy Fair the price of the Venator was $120.

Posted by Zwing in United Kingdom, 27 May 2009 14:39

why can't we as britain have this set now???

Posted by Commander-Cody in United Kingdom, 27 May 2009 17:55

Because we "don't represent as much of the market as most other countries"
It's a fact that I suppose we have to face, but I agree - those sets better be out soon!
I can't wait to get copies of Echo Base and Corporate Alliance Droid for army building.

Posted by ShatteredGnome in United States, 27 May 2009 18:35

You guys, @Republic Commando Sev is right, the Venator is definitely not going to be $199.99. The price, as I previously posted, is $119.99, just like the gunship. The only detail that was flawed in my previous post is the price I put for the Pirate Tank set: $29.99. It's actually $44.99. I was a little suspicious that they were going to sell it that cheap before...oh well.

I can't wait to buy one or two of the Corporate Alliance Tank Droids for my droid and clone armies.

Posted by The Green Brick Giant in United States, 27 May 2009 19:23

The tank is still cheaper than I thought, Target exclusives used to always be $50.

Posted by hgd_187 in United States, 28 May 2009 11:44

Sorry i mest up the Venator is going to be $119.99

The Separatist Shuttle is available in Arkansas

Posted by Zwing in United Kingdom, 28 May 2009 12:04

Thanks Commander-Cody. I also cannot wait for the new star wars sets.

Posted by weerwoefski in Belgium, 28 May 2009 12:06

I just ran to my local FUN store, in Belgium, and I couldn't believe what I saw there: Tank droid + Echo base + Seppy shuttle + Y-wing!!

It's the first time Belgium is amongst the first to get a new load of Lego sets :D

The Home One Mon Calamari Cruiser set price has been confirmed at $99.99(US) according to brickipedia. Now, that leaves only one 2009 star wars set left, the new Tantive IV set. Brickipedia claims that the set will be priced at $199.99, but they failed to provide a picture. Does anyone have a link to picture of this set?
