    Following suggestions in the forum, we have added new entries to the database to enable you to track your collection of collectable minifigs more efficiently.

    You now have the option of tracking them by individual figure, by complete set, or both. And, if you have sealed boxes of them, you can track them too.

    The request was made, I believe, because including all 112 CMFs in your collection individually can over-inflate the total number of sets you own, which can be an issue if you have a small LEGO collection.

    Big thanks to bluemoose for adding to the database and scanning the boxes!

Huw, the Collection Analysis still shows that there are 17 figures in each Series...

This is a very nice improvement. Indeed, counting boxes (when we have them) rather than all the minifigs individually is, in my opinion, far more accurate to have a good overview of our sets collection.

can you only track the minifigures separately from other sets if you have a complete minifigure collection?

That's actually why I removed the Collectable Minifigures I owned from the "Sets I own" list. It just felt ridiculous to list each minifigure as their own set. I don't own any complete series though so for now I just list the Collectable Minifigures I own as loose minifigures.

This is an awesome change, and I have also updated my collection! I am really into the CMFs, so this is very helpful, and it may be useful for future trading/selling!

So, from now on, if I have 1 or 16 MF of a certain series, the database will still only count it as being one set?

icey117 - I think you have a choice of using the "complete series x" tab and/or the usual tab for individual minifigures. If you use the complete series tab then that counts as a single set, while if you use the individual figures tab they still all count as individual sets.

But if you check both, your list will get inflated even more?

I like being able to select either way, but I'm wondering if the CMF singles SHOULDN'T count towards the total, or if there should be a seperate database for CMFs......? Complicated issue with no right or wrong answers. :oP

@legogeek: I agree. I was thinking something like maybe make the complete set count as 1 set and contain all 16 minifigures. Then have each minifigure count as just a minifigure and not as a set.

I'm unsure If I want to use this feature. As far as I'm concerned, each minifig is sold separately at the store - hence it is a set on it's own, even though they are using the same set number. But a set of 16 is 1 complete set consisting of 16 sets. I think the way I am going to organize it is check every fig I own, and not check on the "complete set" item.
It's comparable to the "Value Packs" of the early 90's. Check all 4 or check the 1 complete set?

Nice done ! Could you please do the same options for the upcoming series 8 now ? I would like to check box with the complete serie to guide my local retailer through my pages which "sets I want". Thank you.
