Minifig display cases available at Amazon.co.uk

These minifig display cases have been 'hard to find' in the UK until now, partly because they are not available from shop.LEGO.com.

Amazon is now stocking them, and has them at 15% below RRP. At the moment only the yellow one is available in both 16- and 8-minifig sizes but it appears that black, red and blue in both sizes will be available in June, and can be pre-ordered now. (Thanks Renegade007cjh for the news)

They have been available in John Lewis (online too) although normally only the large ones and on and off at play.com (small and large) for ages. But only at RRP. In my opinion, custom designs are so much better ... there is a thread on them in the forums.

Argos also has them at the same price.

Hard to find? You're not looking in the right places then.

Clearly :-)

Colours other than yellow have been non-existant until now, though, AFAIK.

I have a red and yellow one. Now I want a blue one, which is hard to find. LEGO should make them color coded to each minifigure series.

There were black ones available on bricklink earlier in the year, but slightly above RRP. From the Netherlands I believe.

I have one of these and I love it - so well built.

I had the large yellow ones in my Brickends store at The LEGO Show in Manchester for £15 each. They sold like hot cakes...

They sell them for $20 in Australia, so £19.95 seems a bit pricey for the UK. Must be easier to distribute these from China to Australia (i guess).

I recieved three of these at Christmas time and I can personally suggest the Lego Minifigure Display case to anyone looking for a re-sale friendly minifig storage option. The cases stack, and have sliding 6x4 flat baseplates for easy access to pose multiple minifigures in one window. I've had rare starwars minifigures worth individually over $50 just sitting loosely in buckets for ten years... it's showing. Your old valueable minifigures are inevitably aging, take the right steps to protecting them now!

No, I don't get a commission for sounding like a salesmen! *LOL*

So, I bought myself another four of these yesterday from Amazon, and they arrived this morning. One of them is black.

Not particularly happy about that, but then the Amazon page didn't actually explicitly mention the colour anywhere for this version of the product :/

And I wish I'd realised you had those at The Lego Show @Martin!

These are nice. I have one - from play.com around Christmas time I think @ 14.99. They have sliding black baseplates in each compartment which makes them easy to stand figs, but I prefer my older wall mounted Mini Car mirrored cupboard (depth of about same @ 5cm) I collect (or used to) 1:43 Ferraris which are now replaced with Minifigs and you can store well over 150 at a guess and they look cool with the mirror. The price is around 80 pounds but that was a few years back but you have to drill two holes to the wall for correct support. My sons loves it. I have 'our' SW minifigs in that with a few others (HP etc) and the new DC and Marvel guys in the yellow one which is 'nearly full. Only downside to both is that the Tauntaun or Hoth Wampa, or the BIG Hulk, don't fit well.
