Have you secured your Hulk minifig yet?

The Hulk!I received mine today. It was a bit of struggle knowing what to buy at full price in order to get it (I went for SpongeBob 3818 in the end) but I think it was worth it. It's bound to be sought after in future and pricey on the secondary market, and of course I need it for the upcoming Super Heroes minifig gallery :-)

I should apologise for the lack of news and updates this week: after 6 weeks of cold and rain, the UK is having something of a heatwave at the moment (temperature jumped from 14c last week to 28c today) so I've been making the most of it instead of working on the site.

I still have pictorial reviews of Shelob Attacks and Mines of Moria to do, and I hope to get them posted over the next few days. I will then do a LotR minifig gallery before I return the sets to their owners.

I'm also putting the finishing touches on an exciting new feature, which you may have read about in the forum, so look out for that over the next week or so -- once it's cooled down a bit!

Anyway, to get back on topic: if you want a Hulk you have until next Thursday to get your order in at shop.LEGO.com. Click on the banner above to do so and to find out more.

did your other face on him get put on at an angle? the BrickQueen's did

Posted by jengafett in United Kingdom, 24 May 2012 12:49

what is better, this hulk or the one in 6868?

Posted by legomaniac in United States, 24 May 2012 12:58

^ I think this hulk reflects the live action The Incredible Hulk played by Lou Ferrigno in the 80's or was it the 70's?

I like the minifigure version more, this one :)

Posted by legofanatic2414 in United States, 24 May 2012 12:58

@jengafett well, this one is much closer to the comic books, as his pants is purple, but the Hulk from 6868 seems to be much more sought after. Not excluding how sought after this one will be within a couple of years. I'd say this one, get it fast.

Huw, I am in a blunder as to how'd you receive the Hulk minifigure itself. You say you purchased the 49.99$ Spongebob set and you received the Hulk. This seems odd to me, as I tried to purchase the Hulk's Helicarrier Breakout (6868) and, while it was 49.99$, apparently to LEGO, that did NOT equal 50$, so I would NOT be getting the Hulk. Did you purchase something else to balance it and make it equal the 50$ asking price? I dunno, I feel kind of cheated since LEGO won't consider a 49.99$ (basically 50) set as 50$.

I going to get this week, hopefully.

Posted by vwong19 in United States, 24 May 2012 13:36

^Online I assume since many Lego Stores have been out since early this week.

Posted by Huw in United Kingdom, 24 May 2012 13:37

I added a keychain that was in the sale to take it over £50

Posted by legoguy2805 in United Kingdom, 24 May 2012 13:44

@Tilius: I was thinking exactly the same. :P

I ordered the other Hulk set, 6868 Hulk's Helicarrier Breakout, a few days ago and this was added to my basket upon checkout. Eagerly awaiting the arrival!

Posted by legopants in Germany, 24 May 2012 14:03

Yep - got mine today too :-)
Ordered a couple of Monster Fighter sets to get over the 55 EUR hurdle.
Very fast shipment too - just 3 days!

Posted by bartthecartoon in United States, 24 May 2012 14:12

I just ordered one today. Does anyone know if they strictly enforce the "One free exclusive, limited-edition item per customer" restriction online? I would hate to put in a second order and have them ship it without the Hulk.

Posted by Gandalf1 in United States, 24 May 2012 14:30

I plan to get the Hulk pretty soon, and I must say the only reason he seems special to me is because of the exclusivity (Never used that word before!). His legs really could do with side-printing.

Posted by King of Bricks in United Kingdom, 24 May 2012 14:33

Got it today its awesome!!!

Posted by ncbarrett in United States, 24 May 2012 14:45

Mine is being shipped.
I manage to get exactly $50 in merchandise so I only paid 6.95 shipping instead of 8.95.

Posted by MvdS in Netherlands, 24 May 2012 14:50

Got it today.

Not only the sides should have been painted, but also the back.

Anyone willing to trade mine: TC-14 (in closed polybag) for a Shirtless Darth Maul (also in closed in polybag)???

If so, let me know via --> marcel@starmars.nl

Posted by __billybobjoe in United States, 24 May 2012 14:52

I think it would be cool if LEGO put a small car in the polybag too, to represent the first time David Banner turned into the Hulk when he was fixing his flat tire

Posted by The Reviewer in United States, 24 May 2012 15:10

I'am going to get mine tomorow at the Downtown Disney Lego store. Not sure what I will buy though.

Posted by Rockman Xtreme in United States, 24 May 2012 15:19

...." exciting new feature, which you may have read about in the forum?" What is it? I am way to young (11 years) to go on there!

Hulk looks pretty awesome, but TOTALLY needs printing on the sides of his legs.

My hulk arrived yesterday along with tie fighter and a small PAB order.

I was surprised to see the hulk uses the same hair dresser as harry potter

:o)

Posted by coyotelily in United Kingdom, 24 May 2012 15:37

i ordered 4 sets of the discounted Potter sets, which came to £54, used my £10 VIP vouchers bringing it down to £44 but still got my hulk so I am thrilled, investing in potter seems like a good option to me !

Posted by wertyjj in United States, 24 May 2012 16:05

Is the surprise Megabloks and Kreo added to the database?

Posted by psychopuppet in United States, 24 May 2012 16:05

Got mine on Tuesday. I ordered the Kingdoms Chess Set and one of the series 7 minifigures to get mine. I made a order for the Vampyre Castle , The Crazy Scientist & His Monster , and The Ghost Train Monster Fighters sets the other day. According to the shipped email there is another Hulk in that order which should be here tomorrow. So it does look like they are shipping more then one to online buyers. Kind of wish they'd done a Bruce Banner minifigure to go with the 6868 sets Hulk.

Posted by LegoC10 in United States, 24 May 2012 16:12

So, I received my Hulk figure, but I'm conflicted over whether or not I should open it out of it's polybag. If I do, will it decrease the minifigure's value substantially, or not?

Posted by caperberry in United Kingdom, 24 May 2012 16:28

Mine arrived today! Super cute and much closer to my memories of the Lou Ferrigno version especially the wig!

Posted by Gandalf1 in United States, 24 May 2012 16:29

@EnergyArrow: Not everyone considers Spongebob sets stupid, you know. Not what I am getting, definitely, but why in the world do you care what Huw buys? In my opinion, all LEGO is good, even if only for the pieces. Except for Ben 10 and Galidor. ;-)

Posted by legofanatic2414 in United States, 24 May 2012 16:39

@LegoC10 While the Hulk will be worth a lot in a few years regardless of the polybag, I'd say that it will be much more valuable if it is still in the bag. Collectors often like to keep the minifigures within the bag.

Posted by Thomson & Thompson in Canada, 24 May 2012 17:08

Just got my package a few minutes ago. Won't open the Hulk package, although I might make another order to get another Hulk that I can take a look at.

Posted by Nate the Great of LEGO in United States, 24 May 2012 17:09

Got mine today, he's awesome.

Posted by wiredforsound in United States, 24 May 2012 17:55

I got mine yesterday with a split order of LOTR and Marvel sets.

Posted by ejdme in United States, 24 May 2012 18:42

Just put in an order for the LOTR Weathertop set to get my Hulk minifig. He's the only Avenger I'm missing now after buying the Quinjet from Amazon today.

Posted by Legozrool in United States, 24 May 2012 18:58

Swett!!!! I wish I could have gotten one but I did not have any money since I got TC-14 :(:(

Ps anyone like 'nrg Kai vs chokun' or 'nrg coles spinner' I saw them at my local target (which to let u know I live in pinson AL )

Posted by vulp in Netherlands, 24 May 2012 20:03

Did some math, turned out to be cheaper to buy off Bricklink for E14,- than pay Lego's full price...now it's coming to me from the US!

Posted by Drmnez11 in United States, 24 May 2012 20:23

I got three. Btw it's way cheaper buying them on like bricklink or eBay. Two of the three I own we're under $50.

Posted by roar15 in United States, 24 May 2012 21:13

I did 3 combinations of purchases that topped $50 in the Lego Store at Downtown Disney the day the promotion started and got 3 of them. The cashier just rang the orders up one at a time for me. I gave one to my son to open and I plan on selling the other 2 to subsidize the other Lego sets we bought. Planning on doing the same thing with the 1 extra TC-14 we got from the May the 4th sale.

Posted by Gandalf1 in United States, 25 May 2012 08:03

OK, I'm going today, and I'm really hoping they're not out of them. Does anybody know if the Nashville TN Store has run out? I'm beginning to realize the full meaning of the phrase "while supplies last". :-/

Posted by Mickitat in Germany, 25 May 2012 08:20

Thanks for the reminder. Took the opportunity to order 10230.

Posted by The BrickKeeper in United States, 25 May 2012 08:36

@Vwong19: Yeah, I'm getting Attack on Weathertop from Shop online. I had a feeling that they would be in short supply at the stores.

Posted by Gandalf1 in United States, 25 May 2012 19:39

Darn! They were out. But I still got LOTR sets, a hippie, and a brick seperator so I'm happy.

Posted by The Reviewer in United States, 26 May 2012 00:31

I went to the Downtown Disney Lego store in Anaheim and when I got there the chashier told me they were out, but I asked agian an they looked and found 5 they somehow misplaced. So I got the Y-wing, Gandalf arrive's and some series 7 and they were also giving out a Brickley the sea dragon set on a $50 purchase.

Posted by wiredforsound in United States, 26 May 2012 00:44

I dropped $250 at my local TLG on most of the Monsters Hunters and brand new 2012 Ninjago sets and the staff just tossed in *three* Hulk Minifigures. Yay!

Posted by train_nut in United Arab Emirates, 26 May 2012 12:46

I'm so mad. Someone at customs must of swiped my hulk minifig. It was missing in my parcel, even though the invoice said it was included.

Posted by Goldchains in United States, 26 May 2012 14:21

Picked mine up last night at the Cincinnati Lego Store. Fortunately they still had a couple of Hulk's Helicarrier Breakouts, which is awesome. Of course the worker had to gyp me on a penny so I bought a S7 minifig(Got the Computer Nerd-fitting lol) and used my $5 VIP discount so still paid less and got two extra minifigs. I'm not going to open the special Hulk minifig, I figure there's no real need to. Now I can't wait until June 11th so I can get my Batman Lego Video Game and Lex Luthor special!

Posted by Mequel De Vaughn in United States, 26 May 2012 16:31

Train_nut just call LEGO and tell them what happened. They'll send you another one.

Posted by riot_act in United States, 26 May 2012 17:00

The Oregon store (Washington Square) is out of them as of yesterday.

Has anyone noticed that his hair is actually harry potter's.
