There were actually a few that were actually 24.99 + 10.99 shipping. I was about to jump on it, but that big of a discount from a non amazon seller was mighty fishy. It's sold out now and back to the 87 price range sold by Amazon proper. Did I want a major deal? Yeah, but after my fiascos with eBay and all the talk of scammers going around, the red warning lights were just flashing too much.

I think you're right to be cautious - that level of discount on a best-selling set is very unusual...

If someone is going to go to all that trouble to steal them, why would they sell them at super-discount when they would otherwise look legit? It's not like they need to sell them out of their car trunk.

Super-discounts (on Amazon where you can pay by credit card and get your money back) sound more like a seller wanting to get rid of his last few of a certain item, or encourage you to buy more from him. Be wary of cash-only though.
