    I am indebted to Jason from Chowren Toys for providing more information for box sizes, weights and US barcodes for the Brickset database, for retail sets released between 2004 and 2006. We now have this information for around 1200 sets, from 2004 onwards.

    Chowren Toys LLC is an authorized LEGO e-Commerce Retailer, with the world's widest selection of brand new factory sealed, old and discontinued LEGO sets for sale, so if there's something you're after, they are bound to stock it, so check them out...

I was looking through their website and i went under Indiana Jones sets, and they wanted $75 for LEGO Indiana Jones Sets: Last Crusade 7620 Indiana Jones Motorcycle Chase. So i went to eBay to see what they were going for and people were selling them for around $40. I'm not so sure about this website's prices.

Agreed, the prices are marked up way too much for sets that are perhaps rare, but not very popular. I stick with ebay and brinklink.

Great news!

Since LEGO has started cramming sets full of Minifigs, price-per-piece as a measure of how well a set is priced has become increasingly difficult. Weight of the thing might just be a better way, and this will help test my theory.

Most of the stores that advertise on here charge a lot for their items, often way over going rate. But if they supply information or help towards the site costs, then there is no problem. Just don't buy from them if they are too expensive.

You can search the database by UPC using the mobile site. I'm not sure about the 'regular' site though but I don't see why not.

Yes you can, although there's not much point to being able to, they are a PITA to enter manually after all.

Some have mentioned how low or great prices are on eBay and Amazon. These are also two market places where people who use the barcode scam (most recent SAP exec who got caught) sell their products as well as those who resell using LEGO gift cards bought with stolen credit cards. Just ask those who have their account frozen by LEGO recently for receiving LEGO bought with gift cards charged on stolen credit cards. 99.9% of sellers on Amazon and eBay are extremely honest, but when you start seeing some of the prices sellers are selling you start to wonder sometimes. We have an account with LEGO and we know how much LEGO cost at wholesale. How do you compete with criminals?

We are all extremely fortunate to be living in countries were prices can be set freely and we all have the freedom to shop where ever we see fit. We at Chowrentoys.com have never advertise or claim to offer the cheapest LEGO online. However, what we do offer is one of the best customer service out there. We believe in honesty, integrity, efficiency and communication as the best way to achieve this. Our prices are a mere reflection of our customer service. We have been in the business of selling LEGO now for 11 years and have the proven track recorder on eBay and in our store. We do charge more on some sets, but we also charge the same if not less on a lot of others. Isn’t this how most retailers work or are we missing something here? From the comments posted here, many of you seem cautious and skeptical of who we are and our prices. And rightfully so as many of you don’t know who we are and what we are about. This is why we believe customer service is so important to build this trust. Often times in the service industry when the lowering ones price to gain market share the first thing that goes with it is customer service. Has anyone flown on any major US airlines lately?

For the past week or so, Huw and I have being working on correct some discrepancies in the way that Collectible Minifigures (CM 1-7) are present between BrickSet and Bricklink. We have also filled in the missing UPC, EAN and MPN for many of the CM while we work on the discrepancies. Why do I bother to do that? Yes, it will be easier to find the product in our store but it also makes price comparison much easier across the web. Please ponder this, why is Chowren Toys provides UPC, MPN, weight and dimension data in a systematic fashion to Brickset? Not only is the data gathering very time consuming but will also bring more competition to the merchants. The short answer is that we want to contribute to the community!
Right now Google is requiring merchants who want their products to show up in Google pricing comparison engine to have the UPC and MPN with the product feeds. How is that benefit the customer? With complete unique product identifier Google will be able to show true pricing comparison information on each LEGO set and make search for the set you want at the price you want to pay much easier. More merchants add UPC/MPN information to their data feed more their products will show up in Google. You see how this will benefit the customer right? More products out there means more competition and easier to find what you are looking for. This information also make selling your own collection on eBay much easier. You can now search for the information in Brickset instead of having to physically measure them.

Stocking and storing large amounts of those rare old sets that people want is costly. To make a business out of it, and support families, requires a considerable investment of time and money. So guys I applaud you. Discontinued sets have a value. It seems the only reason to be upset when someone else makes a profit is jealousy.

? Isn't Bricklink the site with the largest collection. I went to that website, and they didn't have nearly as much as what Bricklink has. I prefer Bricklink, no saying this in an agrumentive way, however the system is just to easy to use, and there is so many, with easy feedback check.

I love bricklink, too. I just don't see this news item on BrickSet as asking the community to buy from chowrentoys.com, I see it as BrickSet gave me credit for spending a lot time providing data that benefit the community.

I know how to submit barcodes via the mobile site but how may I submit other missing information for sets?
