Here, then, by popular demand, is the All super-heroes minifig gallery!

I'm happy to take suggestions for groupings, but because of the way the page is coded (it's generated from the database) the groups need to have the same names across all three separate galleries (Batman, Spider-Man and Super Heroes)

Sorry I can't get the Hulk to appear in the same group as the rest of the Avengers: it's because the size of the image, which is to scale with the minifigs, messes up the layout if it's included with them.

Quick suggestion on grouping: You have Spider-Man characters listed as DC heroes, when they are Marvel. I suggest doing a group of DC Heroes, and Marvel Heroes, keeping it simple, wouldn't even break it down into Avengers and X-Men.

Thanks Huw, glad to hear we made this change as a community, thats whats so great about brickset :)

I would suggest having DC and Marvel headings, with subheadings of all batman, all spiderman, all x-men, all avengers, and all superman figures. But actually putting them under the correct headings :)

This is an improvement, no doubt about it. I absolutely agree with bodybomb3.

Hoping to see those Star Wars reviews from Huw soon!

@dtorrey867, doh! that shows what I know about super-heroes :-)

Now corrected, hopefully.

That Hulk minifig is great. Lego did an excellent job with his size, posture and overall look. It's too bad that I just don't really like the Avengers sets, otherwise, I'd have a Hulk by now.

I'm assuming there will be a second wave of Superheroes sets, and if so, I hope there's better representation of the X-men in it. I know the Avengers movie was the top priority, but the X-men could really use some more Lego love.

On an unrelated note, Ambush at Weathertop is 25% off at Amazon, for a total of $45 with free shipping:

(Compare this to Toys R Us' grossly inflated $80 price.)

I wouldn't really consider Norman Osborne as a bad guy, it's the Green Goblin who's the bad guy. Same with Harry. In the set he's based in he's Peter's best friend.

I think it would be better to have two separate galleries. Keep everything the same but have a Marvel Gallery and DC Gallery (keeping the same sub-headings and layout). This will just help make it smaller, rather than one long page.

Anyway, thanks Huw, these look great. (But no matter what you do I'll always find a hole to pick at ;) )

Posted by TheConverter15 in United Kingdom, 11 Jun 2012 14:25

@ BrickBob09: Completely agree regarding Harry Osborn, however Norman Osborn probably needs to remain in villians. Regarding the latest comics, Norman isn't the nicest guy after the Green Goblin (see Iron Patriot ;))

Posted by BrickBob09 in United Kingdom, 11 Jun 2012 14:31

^ I haven't read Iron Patriot, so you're the expert there ;) I was referring to the set (or timeline of the set) he was in. That figure (the only figure) is based when Norman was a good (well... neutral) guy. I thought that figure should therefore be in the good or others section.
I suppose it doesn't really matter- at least Spiderman isn't in the DC section anymore :P

Posted by Huw in United Kingdom, 11 Jun 2012 14:34

As a byproduct of the reorganisation, the hulk can now go in the right section...

Great job, Huw! Your galleries are a prime example of photography done right!

Posted by bluemodern in United States, 11 Jun 2012 14:48

Awesome! Looks great!

Posted by kwilder in United States, 11 Jun 2012 14:54

Just a note: Two-Face's Henchmen appear to have two little sections (recent and old), where as The Joker Henchmen appear in the same section (recent and old together).

Posted by vwong19 in United States, 11 Jun 2012 14:57

Very nice! The only bad thing now is this makes me want to buy the minifigs I'm missing from my Super Heroes collection.

Posted by TheConverter15 in United Kingdom, 11 Jun 2012 15:08

@ BrickBob: Don't worry, apparently we'll see plenty of Iron Patriot in Iron Man 3, though whether Norman Osborn is involved remains to be seen :D

Posted by meclo in Canada, 11 Jun 2012 15:19

@Huw: Nicely done Huw! Great to see them all together.

@vwong19 Yeah, I'm getting a bit of that myself! "Luckily" all of the old Batman and Spidey stuff is waaaaay out of my price range!

Posted by JaseTJ in United States, 11 Jun 2012 15:31

Might I mention that one of the last figures, though he is a conductor, was not on a subway. The train was actually quite above the ground.

Posted by ceroknight in Canada, 11 Jun 2012 15:43

Looks great! How about Green Lantern and Nolan Batman?

Posted by BrickBob09 in United Kingdom, 11 Jun 2012 15:50

^We've already said that Huw doesn't have the GL figure and what do you mean by Nolan Batman? If you're referring to the one with shorter ears (the one from the newspaper give-away) it's already in the gallery.

Posted by TheConverter15 in United Kingdom, 11 Jun 2012 16:11

@ ceroknight: By Nolan Batman, do you mean the other Comic Con batman with the cool torso? Huw doesn't have him or the Green Lantern unfortunately :( We would all like to have all 3 though :P

Posted by the brownie in Ireland, 11 Jun 2012 16:24

thanks for this! im just wondering...some of the reviews for the superheroes are on eurobricks but are not on their page...

Posted by Huw in United Kingdom, 11 Jun 2012 16:25

^ I don't own them but someone has offered to send them to me to photograph, so I'll get them added when I have them.

Posted by icey in Denmark, 11 Jun 2012 16:49

Great job, Huw! Really love the minifig galleries...

Is the reason that THOR only appears in 2 sets, that we're not sure if the http://www.brickset.com/detail/?set=30163-1 will be published yet?

Posted by BrickBob09 in United Kingdom, 11 Jun 2012 17:07

^That set has no details added to it yet, for example the mini-figures included. Obviously, Thor will be included in it but I presume as we have little detail on it, this information hasn't been entered (it might be because it hasn't been released yet).
Therefore, as the Database only has Thor recorded in 2 sets, it thinks that it is only included in the 2 sets. I also presume when the set information is updated to include the figure, the information provided in the gallery will automatically update too.

Posted by Huw in United Kingdom, 11 Jun 2012 17:10

^ It will, when the set has been inventoried by BrickLink.

Posted by legoDad42 in United States, 11 Jun 2012 17:30

Great gallery! Thanks Huw!
One thing...Deadpool should be with the Marvel Heroes! Not in 'Others'.

Posted by BrickBob09 in United Kingdom, 11 Jun 2012 17:38

^ We've had this discussion before. In the set Deadpool is attacking Wolverine, so was originally in Villains. Then someone said he was a mercenary, not an actual villain so was put into Others (rather than creating a new 'Neutral' section for just one figure. I'm sure if LEGO make more 'Neutral' Marvel figures then it a 'Neutral' section would be set up, but for one figure it doesn't really seem worth it).

@Huw and/or Mods, sorry for posting so much :)

Posted by ShatteredGnome in United States, 11 Jun 2012 19:28

Awesome job Huw! I like how you've left the original Super Heroes gallery as well as the combined one and fixed all of the bugs in both. I look forward to seeing a Star Wars gallery sometime soon, at least in progress.

Your photography skills have gotten amazing!

Posted by legoDad42 in United States, 11 Jun 2012 22:23

^^Right, right....anti-hero. Started as a villain but more merc. I stand corrected.

@Huw
it is not as good as your photographs, but you can use my photo if you want:

I can see in the new superheroes that the "others" section is a lot smaller (I think lego is trying to reduce the amount of minifigures.)

Posted by bionicle212 in United States, 12 Jun 2012 06:04

Shouldn't Harry be in the others section? He is Peter's best friend.and hes not a villain until s-m 3.

Posted by Brickman193 in Australia, 12 Jun 2012 06:55

I think that the gallery looks much better once the yellow minifigs have been optioned out of it.

Posted by shawn1818 in United States, 12 Jun 2012 10:24

Why is Deadpool not with the Marvel Villans?

Posted by Andhe in United Kingdom, 12 Jun 2012 10:42

^Read all the above comments. I was thinking the same until I read the debate. That said I feel figs should stand alone on the basis of their set, not the muddled backstory of the entire Marvel catalogue. And I would classify him as a villain, as this set implies.

Posted by Brickman193 in Australia, 12 Jun 2012 11:01

Deadpool is definitely a villain in the LEGO sense... having him pooled with the Mary Janes and JJ Jameson is just a disservice.

Posted by Huw in United Kingdom, 12 Jun 2012 14:19

^ OK, I've moved him to the naughty section :-)

Posted by rolvtd in United States, 12 Jun 2012 14:44

At the risk of sounding nitpicky, if we are talking about the comic version of Deadpool, having him in the middle I think was perfect. Heck, if we want to talk about his place now in the comics, we can just look at his place on the current Uncanny X-Force.

Posted by NeilJam in United States, 12 Jun 2012 15:28

I agree with moving Deadpool back to the villains category. Sure, he's an anti-hero in the comics because sometimes he sides with the other heroes when it suits him, but I think he fits more with the villains. Catwoman is grouped with the villains here on Brickset, and isn't she just as ambiguous about being good or bad?

Posted by rolvtd in United States, 12 Jun 2012 15:51

^NeilJam

I don't know if Catwoman is good comparison, considering she is a villian that sometimes sides with good when it pleases her or matches her goals, whereas, at the moment, Wade Wilson is on a member of a Superhero team that is, by definition, a hero team that is sometimes tasked to the "dirty" work.

Posted by CapnRex101 in United Kingdom, 12 Jun 2012 15:57

I think this is a debate which will go on and on... :P I don't know enough about Deadpool to have an opinion really.

Posted by legoDad42 in United States, 12 Jun 2012 18:23

@AndHe and Huw...the right call, keep it based on how Lego has him interacting in their sets as a foe of Wolverine. I saw him as a hero based on his currently trying to be a hero but with him starting as a villain and then mainly a merc you guys made the right call to get rid of the confusion from the comics since that can change depending on what storyarc they'll put Deadpool in next.

Wonder if Lego will have a Punisher figure and how they'll interpret his affiliation.

Posted by nic97 in Canada, 14 Jun 2012 20:58

Awesome gallery, but I just wanted to say that you misspelled villains as villians :D
