Davetheoxygenman wrote to tell us "Ninjago Hidden Sword Poly Bag (30086) is available in TRU stores!! Also while there, we noticed that the New Harry Potter Book (with minifigure) from DK is for sale as well."

This is the first sighting of it in the USA: previously it had only been available in the UK as part of The Sun's last promotion.

Update: Sorry to eastern European readers! I've been informed that it's also been available in Poland and the Czech republic with Donald Duck magazine...

Is anyone else really bothered by the fact that it's clearly a sai, not a sword? No? Just me? Okay, I'm good.

Also it had been available in Czech republic as part of The Donald duck magazine two months ago.

@Zordboy, that confused me as well. :)

I can't wait to get Harry Potter in his Yule ball outfit, you know what other book with a collectable minifigure that looks awesome the lego batman DK visual dictionary which comes out this september with batman in his electro suit.

That's interesting, this was a giveaway promotion in Canada about a 2 months ago.

It isn't even a sword...

Yup, saw it in TRU yesterday too. A few days after mine arrived from the UK, of course. Does get a bit annoying sometimes not knowing if/when the polybags are gonna appear in your country.

I picked up my DK book over the weekend [Barnes & Nobel US]. It's a smaller size than I expected. Slightly taller than a standard 9.5 inc book. Wider, and fatter than a standard book. The fattnes was to make space for the HP figure.
Sorry the figure is just a figure, I was underwhelmed.
BUT the photos in the book are great showing detail that I never noticed in the Mini-figs themselves.
I may have to pull some of my mini-fig out of their boxes, and stare at them... Oh wait - I can just look at the book.

I saw the DK book at Target yesterday. Looks like it's gone viral!

PS - Huw, I'm not sure how many of those Harry Potter pictures you contributed but nice work. The minifig pictures are HUGE!

This was in Toronto a number of weeks ago as well. Should have reported it then...

I picked a couple up a little bit ago for the sweet parts up here in Edmonton. Didn't think anything of it.

"It isn't even a sword..."

True but calling the set "Hidden Hand Fork" would probably not help sales.

@dmm32552, I estimate probably half, including most of the pictures on the animals/accessories etc. pages.

Got this one at the TRU Superhero shield build this past Sat. Alerted Atkinsar to include the sighting in his polybag bricklist.
