Directory of mobile Brickset apps

Over the last few years a large number of apps have been written to take advantage of the Brickset API to provide access to Brickset's data, and in some cases, your collection data, on mobile devices.

When I've been made aware of them I've mentioned them in the news but until now there hasn't been a list of them anywhere on the site which has meant finding out about them has been difficult.

So, to remedy this I've created a directory of mobile apps, linked to on the More page.

I think I've listed them all but if you're aware of others, do let me know.

Thanks huw I couldn't find any of them anywhere. Speaking of mobile I think it's time for you to update the mobile site for brickset. Maybe make it so we can post reviews. :D

Thanks! The one bigger, better Android Brickset app hadn't come up in my searches before - mainly because I was doing a search for "Lego" in apps. I grabbed it immediately, will be a huge help!

Now if only we could improve on the deficit of apps in the different operating systems. Nothing I would love to see more than one app that unifies the set data and news of Brickset with the detailed breakdowns of Bricklink, maybe linking together marketplaces to show you prices across Bricklink, eBay, and maybe a few retailers for ones still in production. That would be the ultimate in my mind and I'd gladly pay for it.

^^ I am planning to unify the two sites using a responsive design at some stage to resolve that issue.

^ Get on and write one, then, if indeed it's worth doing so for a virtually dead platform... :)

Just an idea. I was thinking, is it possible to add some sort of rating of the apps - similar like we have with the set reviews - how many of the users found this app helpful (useful?). That could give and idea which one to choose.

^ Good idea, although given most are free you might as well download them all and see which fit you needs.
