Brickset is recruiting

I've been going through the survey responses and have found that there were a lot of comments regarding Brickset's front page news. In the positive comments, many of you said that you like it, you find it up-to-date and accurate, and some of you cite it as the main reason you come here. However in the negative comments, it was mentioned by several people that you thought it was UK (and to a lesser extent US) centric and that there isn't enough of it. So, I intend to address these issues by recruiting more news correspondents.

If you would like to apply for a staff position then here's how to: e-mail me at huw [at] brickset.com by the 26th September telling me a bit about yourself and why you think you'd make a good correspondent. I'm particularly interested in applicants from the USA, Canada and Australia who can report on local issues but I'm happy to accept applications from anyone. However, you MUST be over 18 to apply (in fact, at risk of age discrimination, the older the better), have a good grasp of the English language.

I look forward to hearing from you!

Update 20th Sept: Thanks to everyone who's applied, I'lll get back to you later today. I'd still like some applicants from Canada and Aus. or elsewhere in the world though!

I wish I could apply but I guess it is fair that only adults can apply. They get out more and can drive and such. I guess I will have to wait for 5 years.

Lets hope that Brickset is still updating (or at least still around) by then.

Some people who write comments don't know when to use apostrophes ;)

Like just about everyone else said, I would like to help, but I'm too young.

I reiterate my hope to design reporting services reports, help re architect the database to support prices per item in your collection so we can graph the values paid over time. Also hope to add a On order option for each set in addition to the Own and want choices. In addition it would be nice to allow others to access a want list like a wedding registry such that your guests could collectively indicate which items they have ordered for you. I know it seems odd to "register" at brickset instead of Macy's but what the heck :)

why does it need to be 18? Children CAN report too. Moreover, in growing countries such as my country, usually children speaks, writes, and understands English better than most adults.
