    BIGW stores in Australia are having a Lego Week sale from September 24th -September 30th. They are also running a build my face competition, where you have a chance to Win a Lego mosaic Portrait. Space Police and Star Wars sets are discounted from the already everyday low price. Savings are up to 30% off R.R.P

    Kmart stores are also having a 15% off sale for the same period. They have also placed the Star Wars Republic Dropship with AT-OT Walker on clearance and it is currently reduced to AU$250.

    Update 24th Sept: Kmart is applying the 15% off Lego to the Star Wars Republic Dropship with AT-OT Walker this brings the price during this week's sale to  AU$212.50. They have also reduced the Technic Hauler 8264 to AU$75 ( AU$63.75 during the sale).

Uh, the AT-OT walker was always $250, so it can't be "reduced" to $250. (Unless the store was selling it for higher then Lego charges...)

Lucky for me I live in Australia and I think Im gonna pick up one of these. For all yous in America the original retail price for this set was $400 to $450 in Australia.

YES!!! I will certainly buy quite a few sets! Thank you for this information; if I hadn't read it here, I wouldn't have found out about it, and I wouldn't be able to buy some Star Wars set to great prices!

@ Republic Commando Sev: you would be surprised at some of the mark-up's on Lego here in Australia, it is not uncommon to find lego set's with prices around 25% higher than Lego's R.R.P.

I was in the Big W at Marion yesterday; someone must have forgotten to tell them. Are you sure this isn't just in Western Australia?

As for "the already everyday low price", please don't act as a shill for the retailers. A few years ago Big W's prices were notably lower than LEGO's RRP, this year their prices are only a few percentage points lower than RRP, and only a few cents different from K-mart.

Sorry mate, my PC calendar was showing the wrong date, my computer said today was the 25th, not the 24th. Fixed my clock/calendar. Thanks for indirectly bringing that to my attention.

I have to agree with "Wolfy 8880" becuase I went to K-Mart at TTP and they do have 15% of Lego
but not a discontinued price on the AT-OT. It's still $299, not the $250 you have seen in Perth.
I wish we were so lucky in SA.

K-Marts discount of the AT-OT walker must be a WA special only.

SA has the special too.

I just bought a dropship for $212.50 at Kmart at Noarlunga (Colonnades). There were about 5 left an hour ago.

I too have to make an amendment to my previous post, K-Mart has the Drop Ship on special so I suggest picking one up whilst you can. Don't believe the ticket price or what the staff tell you.
Go down to the check out and it shall be $212.50.
Now thats a bargain at any price!

I've just been looking at the Big W web site and it says the kid-mania sale is this weekend only, not for a full week. "Starts 24 Sep - Ends in 4 days." If you're interested, you better get in quickly.

i suppose this means that anyone who bought the AT-OT and Dropship from th lego shop online was being quite silly...like me *@!*!
