Belgian newspaper Het Laatste Nieuws is running a 10 week promotion starting on 15th September whereby you can buy a different polybag each week for €1.95, and if you do so you can enter a competition to win a trip to LEGOLAND.

There are two interesting things about it: First, half of the polybags are LEGO Friends and second, this police Helicopter, 30019, is fairly rare, having not been offered in any other widespread promotions that we are aware of, although there are a few for sale on BrickLink.

You can find out more at the Belgian LEGO blog Nopjes (translated into English) and the newspaper website.

Thanks to Klaas from Nopjes for the news.

Update: here's a Bricklist to help keep track of the sets.

If any Belgian Bricksetters could help out a UK-based Lego fan, by picking up a couple of these for me, that would be great. I have tonnes of polybags and some Team GB figures to offer up... PM if so!

I have made many friends and contacts in lots of different countries through this hobby, but not Belgium yet!

Hi guys and girls,

I'm Klaas, AFOL and the blogger behind nopjes.be (sorry it's not in English yet).
Just wanted to let you know that I will be trying to get as many polybags as I can.
If you are interested in a set, just let me know by contacting me using this link : http://www.nopjes.be/contact

It's hard to tell how succesful this contest will be, so I can't predict on how many bags I can obtain.
I have some contacts within the Belgian branch of TLC, so I hope I can give you more updates soon on the exact number of polybags that will be made available.

I will be happy to send polybags at no extra charge than 1,95 euro + postage costs (please note that the Belgian rates are quite high). LEGO is an expensive hobby after all, and fans should help each other out where they can, don't they ?

If I get more details, I will post them here or let you know directly through mail if you are interested in a set.
However, I cannot guarantee anything on availability (yet) : I'm still getting an army of buyers ready to pick up as many bags as possible.

On the website, there's no word on whether someone outside of Belgium can enter the contest. No guarantees there either...

Greetings from a member of the tiny LEGO community in tiny Belgium !

Great news. I'll try to get loads for swaps.

^^I browsed through the website earlier and I seem to remember that it says participants have to live in Belgium.

Posted by klaas in Belgium, 05 Sep 2012 09:25

Then I truly hope I don't send the winning polybag to another country :-)

^ don't worry I'll donate it back if I win! Thanks for the kind offer of trying to help Bricksetters out. I'll contact you shortly.

^ Can you do a BrickList please, Andy? :-)

Posted by atkinsar in United Kingdom, 05 Sep 2012 10:33

^ I can and will, but not until this evening. So if anyone can jump on it before then, go for it!

Actually not such a big deal! 30019, 30150 and 30151 can be purchased at most toy stores in Germany for €1.99.

Didn't know that this was supposed to be hard to get because they are everywhere here!

@Klaas - Thanks for your generous offer of help to Brickset members! Message sent!

Why couldn't this be on in the Netherlands where I've got contacts?? :-)

This set, along with 30017 Policeboat, 30058 STAP, and 30056 Star Destroyer are a Gramedia Bookstore (local famous Indonesian bookstore) set promotion. Each comes with 3 'papermate' pens and they cost about 4usd

One Bricklist, sunny side up: http://www.brickset.com/brickLists/?7651

In Austria you can buy this set in a store named "Müller" (in addition to 30151 - bulldozer as well as 30150 - race car).

Price: 3,50 EUR per item!

Hi everyone, seems there has been so much interest in these sets that my mailbox has exploded... :-)

Unfortunately, since I have no direct link within the LEGO company, I cannot take any requests anymore.
I've had demands for more than a hundred bags, which is way more than I expect to be able to collect.

I don't want to disappoint anyone, but sadly enough I have no magical powers...

Thanks for understanding !

Im pretty sure I saw the helicopter at Wat-Mart a while ago...

I hope I can help some brickset members as well. Theres been loads of advertisement on the radio, so I'm expecting the lego to go really quick. I'll post a message up saturday if I'm able to get extras, don't email me just yet :)
