Brick By Brick iOS app gets an update

  • Brick By Brick iOS app gets an update

One of the best Brickset-related iOS apps in the Apple AppStore, Brick By Brick, has been updated today and is now a Universal app which means it now looks absolutely fantastic on an iPad as well as on an iPhone/iPod.

It works quickly and faultlessly with the Brickset API to enable you to:

    - browse and search for sets
    - view and manage your collection
    - view instructions, which are downloaded from LEGO.com.

    Best of all, it's free!

Don't have an iOS device? see our mobile app directory to find one for your platform of choice.

It's great that there is such a list. Would be cool if there was an opportunity to write reviews for the apps, too.

^ Great idea, maybe I should add them to the database?

Posted by dcmal in United Kingdom, 07 Sep 2012 07:19

^^ Your choice of course, although it appears to me that the DB would probably look cleaner if non-physical third-party items won't appear in it.

But I still would like to write reviews for them. ;)

^^^ Write a review in iTunes, that's the best way to do it.

Awesome. Definitely putting this on my phone and ipad and will write you guys a stunning review :)

Well good thing there's some Android apps under the app directory.

What a great update. Much nicer. I use this app a lot to manage my collection and to view instructions. Writing and reading reviews from my iPad is an excellent idea and great way to encourage more Members to write reviews on the fly

Another suggestion: Is there a way to add a set but remove the minifigures from my brickset collection through the brick by brick app, and also maybe just add minifigures from certain sets. Reason I ask is I have bought many sets without minifigures to save myself a lot of money but the database always adds the minifigs to my minifigure collection. So my minifigure count is actually not correct. I have also purchased lots of minifigures separately without the accompanying sets

Looks really nice on my iPad. I can update my list of sets but I cannot get the notes for each set to save which is why I wanted the app. Anyone else see the same problem or is it just me (entirely possible since I only got my iPad last week!)

Is this app available for Android as well? Would to use it on my Nexus. There are actually more Android devices worldwide than iOS devices.
