3-for-2 at Toys R Us this weekend

From now until Sunday, TRU has a 3-for-2 offer on for toys including LEGO.

It appears to be online and in-store, although as you can read in the forum, some stores may be excluded, or are just slow at getting started/putting out the signage.

I might just go and grab myself some Monster Fighters sets, that I vowed not to buy any of :-)

Do they do Monster Fighters? I couldn't find them online.

No idea, I don't go to my local one often enough to check...

Placed an order with Toys R Us Click and Collect site. The website said there was enough stock at the Leeds store. Then got a phone call from the manager saying that I couldn't have 3 items as it wasn't fair on other customers !! I was only allowed to have one of each item ! What's the point of having a 3 for 2 offer if they won't honour it ?

I've had similar grief in the past myself. When PotC first came out TRU had an 3-for-2 offer shortly afterwards. I loaded up my trolley with three of each set. There was a right ugly scene at the till but I did manage to buy them all, eventually. Each set of 3 had to be done on separate transactions to ensure I wasn't just getting the cheapest of the whole lot free.

You could always point out that marking prices up £5-£20 above RRP is hardly fair on their customers either.

Yes, and they'd just trun around and say, well you can always shop elsewhere. So I do.

Some TRU stores quite clearly state by their customer service desks as you walk in that multiples of items will be restricted by the manager, regardless of there is a 3 for 2 offer on or not. I guess its very much down to the discretion of each individual store manager as to how lucky you are.

Good offer. I picked up 3 x £100 sets in store and got a load of the architecture sets online and 3x exclusive SW swamp speeders as they were reduced from 50 to 25 (they were never going to sell at £50 anyway) as it is free delivery until 16th on everything!!

I had no probs with my local TRU. Picked up 2 8129's and a Clone Turbo Tank. Been after these for a while but didn't want to pay the full whack.Wife's not impressed though:-)

Picked up 3 Series 8 minifigs today - also had a $5 one-day coupon as a rewards member - paid $1.19. Good deal.

i dont see why you would need three of one sets unless your planning on selling it on which takes the sets away from people who actually want the set and not just make money on them, i dont blame some for saying no well done to them
