    Valid Sunday 9/30 through Saturday 10/6, Toys R Us is running a Buy One, Get One 40% Off All LEGO construction sets. And by "All", Toys R Us is excluding Ninjago, Technic and Friends.  Additionally, you receive Vintage Minifigure Collection  Volume 1 / Toys R Us Edition (5000437) with a qualifying $60 purchase.  As Huw noted in an article below, there will be a different Vintage Minifigure pack each week and supplies will likely be very limited.  Lastly, the limit will be one pack per person per week.

I guess it is worth it if you missed the Walmart & Amazon sales (although I think the PS is still at Amazon for 112).
As they were roughly 20-25% off.
After my 'feast' upon those sales Im rather satisfied... Especially since Technic is not in this sale.
Surprise SW appears to be, but if this is like the last BOGO40 the DS was not a part of it, nor was the IS.

I guess the other question will be if TRU will have the Haunted house and have it on BOGO40....

Wow, I just did the math, and even with this promotion, buying Palpatine's Arrest and Jabba's Palace from TRU it's STILL ABOVE MSRP! What a load of poodoo! Couldn't they have made it at least 50% off? No, of course not, this is TRU we're talking about.

My TRU in New Jersey only has 20 of each minfigure set, so I would recommend to everyone that wants each one to go on the Sunday, preferably when your closest opens for the day.

I really wish that they would stop excluding Technic sets in these BOGO40 deals. Its what I mostly build with.

The lady was not much help and I had to repeat everything I said to her. She said it was out of stock, but it says it is available. She told me my store was out of stock, but I went there and it wasn't. I can see an advertisement for it online, but I'm still not able to add it or even search for it now.
My recommendation: website is pretty worthless; go to the stores. Bring adds from other stores so you can at least get sets for at or below MSRP. The Vampire castle is currently $139.99!!

If you can get to a TRU there is always something that's a decent buy when you shop around.. I live only a few blocks from the local branch (not as close as the LEGO Store though ;-D) and went last night... I got 5 sets, all but 1 on sale or below RRP (4192 POTC Fountain of Youth was $25.99 but I had a $5 reward and i wanted it to make the chibi style Slave I from the SW Celebration tin) ... I spent 61 bucks with tax for the VMF, #4192 #3840 #8076 #7958 #7789 I built the POTC, Atlantis and Games sets and enjoyed them quite a bit, the Advent Calendar and Lotso truck I already have, so those are just for parts.

Is it a great sale? Not at all. Can you get a nice batch of stuff and come away with a free set of VMFs every week? absolutely... I'm using this as an opportunity to grab sets that I missed out on or haven't bought yet, mostly stuff near EOL. The goal is to spend not much more than $60 or $120 doing it and get sets that interest me or have great bricks in them. So far I think i'm doing good (and glad I didn't go in on the PoP Ostrich sets now that they're on sale at amazon =-)

I ordered online yesterday for store pickup and all the promos were gone. I did get them to give me the LEGO website price for my purchase and they said i could come back on sunday and they would honor the promo offer for next weeks set. Apparently this store only received 10 promo figure packs. Looks like i will be waiting outside TRU next sunday morning.

The Austin, TX ToysRUs on 35 North is out of the promotional items. so even though I was eligible this evening, I did not receive anything. I was offered a Playmobil figure in a polybag.
