    40048: Birthday Cake
    Seasonal/Birthday, 2012
    More details...
    ©2012 LEGO Group

For once, our offers are slightly better than those in the USA and Canada:

    - Double VIP Points
    - FREE TC-14 Minifigure with any Star Wars order over £50, while supplies last.
    - FREE Shipping on orders of £50 or more (from the 16th).
    - 10227 B-Wing Starfighter now available!
    - 10229 Winter Village Cottage now available!

AND... a special exclusive offer available when you order through Brickset and a couple of other AFOL sites:

    - Free 40048 Birthday Cake set with any purchase of £25 or more.
    - Valid 1-31 October or while supplies last.
    - To redeem, enter CAKE at checkout.
    - Valid for UK Online orders ONLY

This offer has been arranged specially for us by the LEGO affiliate manager, in response to my indignation that it wasn't available in the UK earlier in the year at the time it was in the USA, so please show him (and me), your appreciation and place an order!

Should be £50.

Also, TC-14 only added for star wars orders

^^ & ^ Thank you, you are right. I'm not sure if CAKE is being accepted yet, I've asked my man to check.

So do we now need to show our indignation in the rest of Europe at not getting the cake, so that we can have it at a later date? Why all the differences in the offers in these transparent times...

If I can't have it, I guess I'll just eat it then...

Posted by caperberry in United Kingdom, 01 Oct 2012 04:24

And the store calendar says Double VIP is on sets only.

Should we wait regarding promo code CAKE? Am just about to press 'buy'?

Posted by pantzman in United Kingdom, 01 Oct 2012 04:28

Also shouldn't the free postage be an extra incentive for ' early adopters'? I guess they will have no more TC 14s by then.

Posted by Huw in United Kingdom, 01 Oct 2012 04:33

^^ Might be worth hanging on, the USA isn't up for a few hours, is it, so I won't get an answer until 1pm-ish.

Are we not getting the Tote bag then? Shame that, I would have placed a Xmas order for the kids if it was.

Posted by johnnyfinlandia in Finland, 01 Oct 2012 04:58

Well I ordered a Y-Wing (haven't got one) and a Darth Keyring :)
The cake didn't work either. TC-14 was added OK.
So made the order contacted LEGO and they added the CAKE.
Great Stuff.
I also used your link Huw :)
Happy :D

Mmmmmmm cake....

Half decent promo this, double points are always handy if you are ordering a lot, and free shipping of course.

Posted by Yellow in Hungary, 01 Oct 2012 09:12

Huw,
Can you have your man arrange free shipping throughout Europe when UK will have it?

DwarfSleepy is right, all European countries should have the same promotions (same freebies, free shipping, etc.) All the time there is survey I keep telling it to LEGO.

Folks who've used "CAKE" successfully, does the cake *appear* in the basket when ordering? Stocking up on Christmas and Halloween sets so this is perfect!

Posted by Huw in United Kingdom, 01 Oct 2012 10:26

^ There is apparently a problem ATM, and the LEGO S@H team is working on it.

If you've already placed an order it might be as well to ring to as if one's been added to you order.

I haven't, but thanks for the advice Huw! I'll hold off, Halloween is still 30 days, and Christmas...a wee bit longer!
