    Norwegian Flag

LEGO have updated the LEGO Shop on-line store to now accept orders from Norway, which has, strangely, been the notable exception to the northern/western European countries supported up until now.

Thanks to Øyvind for the news; he comments that "... it is good shopping news for us Norwegians ... prices are good; same as in the catalog and normal toy store prices."

I assume the delay was because they are not in the EU

Good for Norway!!!

"Prices are good" is a statement that needs some modification. On many exclusives, prices are actually atrocious compared to neighbouring countries (same VAT level) and allowing for exchange rates. For instance, UCE Millennium Falcon is 25% more expensive than for Swedish customers! Also, the shipping rates are downright crazy.

Prices are the same as in the LEGO-catalogue found in toy shops around in this country (Norway). So the prices is not bad (that would be higher than in the local shops). The only addition is freight, even that is not too high; 146 NOK for standard shipping (12 days) and 290 NOK for express shipping (5 days). And that is if your order is over 800NOK, if you order iss less the shipping is cheaper.

It is a bit strange that it took so long time before we Norwegians could order for delivery in Norway at S@H since Norway was the first country outside Denmark that started selling LEGO toys back in the "old days".

The reason is not clear yet, but I think there is some strong toyshop companies that was against this and made all they could to stop this.

Greece is still waitting, along with Cyprus!
i dont understand why some EU countries can shop@home and others dont.
who decides for this?
and how hard is it really to open to new countries in the EU??
I have send emails to lego a few times for this and i still dont have a reasonable answer.
