    James S ordered one on Tuesday and received it today. There's no number on the tag, and the helmet and visor are not removable. So, his identity remains a secret :-)

Good one, LEGO! XD

This just went to a must have. Thanks TLG.

I was wondering how they were going to preserve his identity. :P

Just ordered two. Can't wait.

@Plasmodium
Have a clear/plain white face? =P

If you look at the gap betwen the helmet and the torso (not visible in the photo, I'm refering to the one I'm holding in my hands), the head appears to be plain black. The legs are also glued to the torso.

I think the figure is a bit plain. No logo, no print. A figure I can make myself with part I have.
Now as a Dutchman I don't know who the Stig is, but this is not particular exciting figure. Or am I missing something?
Hope I did not hurt someones feelings....

Sure is a bit plain. Could of at least put a racing suit outline on the torso.

Without exaggeration, this is the least interesting minifigure keychain. :(

Had no clue either, but this helped: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Stig#The_First_White_Stig

@sloopsjohng
thanks for the info!

Some say that he has a webbed buttocks,
and that he only knows two facts about ducks...and they're both wrong.

All we know is he's called The Stig! (or in this case, The Stig's Lego cousin :D)

In all seriousness though, where do you order this? This is a MUST have!

Posted by Huw in United Kingdom, 13 Oct 2012 11:13

It's UK only, I'm afraid.

I received my first order of 2 of them today, having ordered on Thursday (before posting here, therefore before the rush!)

Cool ~ STIG ! Any idea how to get the Promotional Code to proceed order ?

Posted by Huw in United Kingdom, 13 Oct 2012 14:25

^ How many times :-) It's UK only, I'm afraid.

Yikes! That's the worst piece of profiteering I've ever seen!
I love the Stig, but there's no way I'd spend even 2p on that - where are the Alpine Stars logos, where's the actual Stig helmet? That's an entirely plain white figure, with a standard bland helmet, a three year old with a biro could do a better job!
(Although saying that, it's how it'll end up if you actually use it and keep it in your pocket. My poor Admiral Ackbar is blind and gradually shedding his clothes! :P)

Posted by Huw in United Kingdom, 15 Oct 2012 08:49

^ To be fair, it is 'free', we are just paying for postage :-)

Posted by zipsforbananas in United Kingdom, 15 Oct 2012 17:42

^ Not profiteering then, I do apologise! Still a little disappointing though. ;)

Do I give up hope of receiving one if it's not here by Wednesday?...I keep hearing of everyone else who has got theirs...

Some say that he names all his potted plants "Steve". He's allergic to the Dutch. That underneath his helmet is... another helmet.

Of course it's a bland minifig, but I think it's pretty cool... any Top Gear fan will instantly know who it is. And I also can't fault them for not running an entirely new printing on a torso / helmet / whatever just for a tiny bit more accuracy. It's accurate enough, especially for "free".

Top gear does air in Holland. I agree about the design, this figure could have been made in 1988. It is amusingly recognising and hey, the Stig was made into a Lego keychain, and I thank lego for that. Frankly, it's a shame that it's UK exclusive.
