My store has been out of PQ and Toy Story for ages, but they've got tons of Alien still shelfwarming!

He's hoping, been after the large alien conquest set for a while.

Do they ship to Wisconsin...? That big AC set always looked pretty sweet...

Kinda mad..Bought the big blue Alien Conquest truck for the full $120 it WAS in Canada, now they are offering it for like 60 dollars every other day now. :/ Ah well, missed out on the pyramid. Maybe I can get it now! I heard the whole Pharaohs Quest line was discontinued though, so who knows...

...I guess it's a "phasing out and selling the last products" type of sale...

I'm rubbing my eyes trying to make sure this isn't some mistake and this article isn't actually a year old. Aside from Alien Conquest, I haven't seen any of those other themes in over a year. What TRU actually has any of those? I don't live in a big city either, so I'm really confused as to why there are actually TRU out there which have those sets.

Happy 2011 my northern brethren!!

wow toys r us is very kind with Canada this bricktober

Though it sounds great, can't really speak for the rest of you but the two TRU in my area basically only have a fe 7325 and 7065, plus numerous Tiny Turbos.

Any idea if this sale will be going on in the US? My local Toys R Us has a bunch of the Toy Story train sets along with a bunch of Alien Conquest ... and even Prince of Persia still.

Our local TRU has been out of a lot of those themes for a while now. Pretty sure they've got a few AC and PQ sets still kicking around on clearance. If it's 50% off the clearance price, it could be a sweet trip to the toy store!

all of those plus PoP and PotC are all floating aroun TRU here in NYC

Guessing, cheap US TRU won't do this sale?

Posted by Jdawg26 in Canada, 17 Oct 2012 23:07

Plus 20% of monster fighters and star wars. Free coffin car with 35$ purchase.

Posted by Ypres in Canada, 18 Oct 2012 00:34

^ They said UP TO 20% off Starwars. This is why you always triple-check flyers, because you don't want to be like me back when I thought it was 20% Harry Potter and purchasing a Hogwarts Castle for only 10% off Canadian retail! Certainly not a good time to buy my Harry Potter wishlist... I lost my pants on that deal, and with all the stuff I bought I really didn't have the nerve returning everything.

Up To 20% pretty much translates into "TRU is going to stiff you". So maybe the two sets pictured will be 20% off, and the rest will be 15-10% off. There's also the chance that they'll only stick the bigger, harder to sell, sets at 20% off and leave the smaller/medium ones at 10% off. Either way it's some slimey dealing by TRU since, with Canadian MSRP, they should be able to throw any Lego set on 20% off no problem.

Bricktober has been awful. I want to cry. I only bought a UCS Obiwan Starfighter :(
I'm going through a lego buying withdrawal.

Price of TRU are not what they use to be.
They use to be Lego MSRP
But now the price went up! Ninjago spinners went up lately from 12,99 to 13,99. The monsters fighters castle went up from $129,99 to $139,99. Its weird since some price at Walmart went down under lego site MSRP, and the arrival of Target is around the corner. So why the high price?

@TZI: 'cause TRU is notrious for gouging.
