76000: Arctic Batman vs. Mr Freeze : Aquaman on Ice
    Super Heroes/DC Universe, 2013
    More details...
    ©2013 LEGO Group

I don't know what it is with Swiss websites this year, but they have been the source of many a leak recently. The latest has appeared on one called WOG.ch which has listed two sets we hadn't seen pictures of before: 76000 Batman vs. Mr Freeze - Aquaman on Ice and 76004 Spider-Man - Spider-Cycle Chase. They are a bit small but you can just about make out that the former will come with three minifigs, Batman, Mr. Freeze and, presumably Aquaman, while the latter will come with Spider-Man and (I'm told) Venom and a gun-wielding Nick Fury in the vehicle.

I believe that these two, plus the two revealed at NYCC (76005 and 76001) will be the only four that form the regular retail selection for release early next year.

I predict the pictures will be removed from WOG.ch within 24 hours, once the 'Brickset effect' kicks in :)

Thanks to Kez for the news!

2013 Star Wars as well.

Posted about Chima in the forums.

Also, IMO, The Freeze set looks nice, but the Spider-Man one..

The "gun-weilding baddie" looks suspiciously to me like Nick Fury... His name on the box is even about the right length as well.

Posted by CM4S in United States, 18 Oct 2012 16:54

Spidey set minifigs: Nick Fury, Venom, and Spider-Man :P

Posted by Kez in United Kingdom, 18 Oct 2012 16:59

Oh no its my real name that has been announced on the front page, probably because I wasn't signed in on my profile, oh well LOL :)
Edit: cheers for changing my name

These sets look amazing to me, both of them, but that Mr. Freeze set is particularly impressive!

As for those Star Wars sets, I absolutely love them, well almost all of them! Here are my thoughts on those:

The Old Republic BP - This looks like a good little model, the Minifigures look wonderful to me!
Clone Trooper BP - This looks brilliant, those Ep.2 troopers are incredible (nice helmets), and I like the Droidekas too.
AT-RT - This is an odd set, the vehicle is totally out of scale (almost UCS), but the Clone Trooper looks excellent.
A-Wing - Again, oddly out of scale, but a very accurate model, I am very disappointed with those figures though.
Z-95 Headhunter - A good model, and three wonderful Minifigures by the looks of it!
Rancor Pit - I have been excited for this since the first pictures were released and I still have not changed my mind.
BARC Speeder - I am afraid this may have a ridiculous price, but that Captain Rex figure looks fantastic!
Umbaran MHC - This looks like a wonderful model, and the figures too seem lovely, so overall, a great set.

Well I'm buying the Spidey one no doubt... I was going to for the 'figs, but a flying car /and/ a flying motorcycle?

Posted by Brickcreator in United States, 18 Oct 2012 17:05

Can't wait for the new Aqua man. He looks great.

P.S. Huw, "Guy with tentacles coming out of his back" = Doctor Octopus

Posted by legograndtheftauto in N/A, 18 Oct 2012 17:06

@huw the gun wielding baddie is actually nick fury of shield who is a good guy and @jasetj the flying car and bike are from the new tv show ultimate spider-man

I really enjoy the White Batman and Venom Figures. As for the Star Wars sets, I'm very pleased with the Republic Troopers and the fact that Lego has put in Phase II armor on some of the clones. Also interested as to what the prices are going to be on these sets.

The figs for both sets seem cool, though the sets themselves seem pretty toyetic (can a toy be toyetic?). They seem like a nice "treat yourself" purchase if they're in the $12/$14 range I guess.

Thank for for the enlightenment, I've put in their names.

Nice look at the Chima stuff as well. Thanks for the link, right-click/saving as I go ;)

AQUAMAN? I'm throwing my money at the screen but nothing is happening!

Super Heroes are turning out to be the best theme next year.

Right, profanity. Let me rephrase:

MY MONEY. TAKE IT.

Posted by legofanatic2414 in United States, 18 Oct 2012 17:24

Oh this is just amazing! Aqua man, Mr. Freeze, and Venom, the three most wanted minifigures from the superheroes line will be released in what seem to be 20$ to 25$ sets?! Fantastic! I will get them both for my collection! I am so relieved, it seems LEGO doesn't understand how popular Venom is! I thought he'd be in a very expensive set!

Posted by rokrbbc in Brazil, 18 Oct 2012 17:25

Huw, it's not Doc Oc, it's Venom!

Posted by Si_Dorking_Surrey in United Kingdom, 18 Oct 2012 17:36

Jeezzuuuzzz Huw, they're pouring into the database already .. about 30 new ones added in the last half hour!! Nice one!

Posted by SapmiSatan in Norway, 18 Oct 2012 17:43

Oh, thank Darwin! These seem to be about 20£, which means I can get them from amazon.co.uk at those cheap English prices, with free shipping, without paying customs! And the three Spider-Man figures I want the most are included in the smallest set. Fantastic!

Posted by Dragon_Master_48 in United States, 18 Oct 2012 19:06

The Batman set looks good, but I'm not sure about the Spiderman one...
The Star Wars sets look good, but the Droidekas are pretty lackluster...

EDIT: Another thing, about the Star Wars: it looks like the gate of the Rancor Pit can "unfold," making the set slightly longer...

Posted by that guy from that show in United States, 18 Oct 2012 19:48

Yay! With Aquaman we can now do super friends!

I'm a fan of the Mr. Freeze set, the yellow highlight on the bat-(insert vehicle name here) work very well and the arctic suit is surprisingly attractive. Is it just me or is aquaman's trident longer then the ones from Atlantis? I'll certainly be picking this up.

The Green flying SHIELD car is unimpressive. It appears to have a lot of gaps and the play features are slightly overpowering. Spider-man's flying thing is cool albeit unnecessary. Not particularly impressed but I'll probably get it anyway.

I see they have redesigned the Droideka's yet again. Cool but too soon considering the last version came out last year. I'm disappointed the clones are Phase I but at least they're not some obscure type like the bomb squad troops in 2011 (shudder). I don't get the vehicle, what is that square thing on the top?

The A-wing is nice and I'll probably be getting it. It seems terribly small however and is suffering from Flick-fire syndrome. The number of missiles that LEGO is adding is getting ridiculous. The fact that this model has flick-fire guns is hard to overlook. The entire guns system looks way to small even compared to the rest of the craft. Also, no trench-coat Han? Sigh.

I really like the Z-95, I see no flaws in the model and is defiantly my favorite of the 2013 line-up.

EDIT: I found some better images of the sets

Both of the Superhero sets look great! TAKING PICTURES NOW!!!

Posted by Lego Lord Mayorca in United States, 18 Oct 2012 23:49

Yes! The Spider-man set with Venom AND Nick Fury is a small one! This is an easy must-buy! I have to sleep on the Star Wars sets, though. That AT-RT and Headhunter give me serious misgivings. And the less said of the Umbaran MHC right now, with just that picture, the better. But who knows how I will feel upon seeing the sets in person?

Posted by nightmarevalkyrie in United States, 19 Oct 2012 02:32

Wow both of these are a must buy for all of those characters!! The build on the flying var is actually interesting as well as the spider cycle! The Aquaman set actually looks nice, the white Batman is a nice touch. The Spidercycle set is really something else all of the figures are new (except Spiderman) so these are a must buy!

Posted by Corellian Engineering in Belgium, 19 Oct 2012 02:34

I am not that much into the whole superheroes thing, in fact only interested in some of the DC key figures (bat-,spider-, superman and catwoman, maybe some of the vilains like the joker). So after this years wave with bat and cat in a small set, and also superman easily available, I can only be happy that spiderman also will appear in a "cheap" set... well, relatively cheap, I guesstimate around 25euro, because Lego tends to inflate prices of the small licensed sets a lot over here.. I might be tempted to get the set with the white batman too..

Being mainly an SW OT fan, after seeing the pictures I will probably only get the Rancor pit of 2013 SW line. Not that interested in the CW stuff, and comparing the new A-wing with the ones I already have, well... no real reason to get the new one.. The only thing I notice to be special there is the fact that the A-wing pilot seems to have a new helmet design..

Those two Batman sets look nice...

Posted by Nexus Force Blacksmith in United Kingdom, 19 Oct 2012 10:39

I knew the Batboat would be the one from LEGO Batman 2. It looked too official in the game so I hoped it was a teaser for the future and I was right :). With the exclusive Arctic Batman, Mr Freeze and of course Aquaman this set looks like a must by.

The Spiderman set with the green Nick Fury car looks interesting too. I like the cars sporty design and the possibility to modify it in different colours. Though I don't have much interest in the Spiderman sets I may actually get this one when it comes out. Besides who doesn't want the Nick Fury minifig for their LEGO Avengers?

Posted by Dragon_Master_48 in United States, 19 Oct 2012 14:31

@that guy from that show
Epic! I can't wait to see what Pong Krell looks like in high detail...

@Nexus Force Blacksmith
Interesting... I notice that the wheels on the car can convert, from a flying vehicle to a land vehicle. It's a decent set, when you examine it more...

Posted by Zordboy in Australia, 19 Oct 2012 17:20

I can't wait to get hold of Aquaman, and that arctic set (with the white Bat-suit) looks brilliant. But Nick Fury is a drawcard as well.

Posted by Mad Hatter in Canada, 19 Oct 2012 19:59

Does 76000 come with white bat-a-rangs to match Batman's Arctic suit?

Posted by Noahs-Dad in United Kingdom, 20 Oct 2012 03:52

In the Daily Bugle set there is 6 or so printed tiles put together that I think are supposedly showing a video image of Jonas James (thats his name right?) in his office. Presumably there is a camera in the office.

Sounds a bit strange really, but possibly a nice additional touch, as don't ever remember seeing a video screen on the front of the Bugle building.

Seeing some of these ComicCon minifigs gives me hope. Does this mean Jean Grey and Green Lantern will end up in sets soon? (And by soon, I mean in the next 3 years.)
