    60018: Cement Mixer
    City/Traffic, 2013
    More details...

WOG.ch has also published photos of two of the three City vehicles that are to be released in January: 60017 a roadside assistance truck, and this yellow cement mixer, which looks absolutely fabulous, and possibly the best 2013 set I've seen so far...

Like last year, looks like the 3 new non police/fire sets will be $20/ 15-17UK

@Huw would have to agree the cement mixer is great and one of the best of the new sets so far. Pickup truck ain't to shabby either. Just waiting for the tanker now.

I'm gonna need a bigger basement to fit my city soon.

@Huw, you have the names of the 42010 and 42011 sets the wrong way round. Best Wishes, Neil

@elibokhobza - where is the LOTR set?

Posted by Duq in Ireland, 18 Oct 2012 18:38

It does remind me a lot of the blue cement truck from a few years ago, but it's certainly an improvement. It's got doors for a start...

Posted by Si_Dorking_Surrey in United Kingdom, 18 Oct 2012 18:46

^^ there are no new LOTR sets, just the hobbit ones again.

Posted by elibokhobza in Switzerland, 18 Oct 2012 19:17

sorry my mistake no new LOTR

little bit disappointed to be honest

That roadside assistance truck is very nice, but I could care less about another cement truck. My feelings about countless squad cars and firetrucks can be echoed into that.

Posted by peterlmorris in United States, 18 Oct 2012 21:37

I freakin' LOVE cement mixers! The flatbed is cool, too. Every town needs a decent towing service.

Posted by legomaniac in United States, 18 Oct 2012 22:06

Lost out on the previous cement truck, buy definably getting this yellow one.

Plus much more LEGO sets in 2013.

I knew 2013 wasn't gonna be all Police and Fire, I knew about these 3 sets. And they look terrific!!!!!

Posted by Targellian in United Kingdom, 19 Oct 2012 01:07

Kewl... the two halves of the mixer are grey, unlike 7990 :oD
Much better looking model, too.

The trucks are very good looking and suitably realistic. What lets them down are the small wheels that are not at a "realistic" scale. This has put me off buying several town sets in the last few years. What's needed are wheels like those on 4205 Police Command Centre or 4208 Fire truck. Okay they're supposed to be 4WD "large" tyres but on a larger cement truck would look entirely appropriate IMHO.

Finally something else then Fire and police sets. The cement truck is nice but I got the 7990 already. But the flatbed car is awsome and I added it to my "wanted" list immediately.

Yeah, I actually quite like the roadside assistance truck. The cement mixer is nice, but no, I really like the flatbed truck.

Some of the upcoming fire, police, construction sets look fine, but we have enough of all that. Am always surprised Lego are so pigeon holed in this and not branching out with the City theme a bit more.

The new museum set is a step in the right direction for the City theme. There is just so many obvious sets missing, hopefuly we might see a school and supermarket for the city theme in the next couple of years.

Yep, those half-tanks in grey are going to be a big boost to space builders. Or paired-up blue/grey halves.

Posted by Firox 5000 in United Kingdom, 19 Oct 2012 06:24

The flatbed truck is Definately one I'll be getting however Ill probably pass the mixer as I own the 2007 model.

Posted by Brickcreator in United States, 19 Oct 2012 12:18

The yellow cement mixer will go great with all of my other construction equiptment.

@Noahs-Dad - I agree about the museum set. LEGO has started a Creator expert series, so maybe there will be some moderatly priced good looking buildings that come out of it.

Have to go pick up all my spilled change, threw my wallet at the screen but nothing happened. :)

Wish Lego was more like Playmobil in terms of set choices.

Posted by Targellian in United Kingdom, 19 Oct 2012 19:28

@Joefish Exactly what I was thinking... seen some nice Neo-Classic Space MOCs using the blue tank halves.

Posted by Mad Hatter in Canada, 19 Oct 2012 19:46

@Town I agree, I wish Lego would just produce a new Police/Fire station every 5-6 years and produce vehicles for them every 2-3 so there will be something 'fresh' out. And the extra slots that would normally be used for a Police/Fire station/vehicles could then be used for something more unique such as a park, a school, etc. Also the Hospital/Emergency theme should be revamped more often like every 3-4 years.

Look carfuly to the front of the new fire car http://www.brickset.com/detail/?Set=60001-1 It has the new part missing to built the Comic Con Land Speeder, only in red, to Land Speeder needed is dark red, but it's only small difference. maybe in some other 2013 sets will be dark red.

Has anyone noticed how similar the new Lego Small Cottage looks in comparison to one of the creations that can be made from the Lego Seaside House? I personally am very disappointed in this new Small Cottage, I think Lego could've made it a bit better and possibly larger.
