awww... I thuahgt the police sets were going to be way cooler...

Posted by hustla187 in United States, 07 Oct 2007 19:18

cool. very cool.

Posted by Sci-Fi, 07 Oct 2007 19:30

Sorry, but where are the Train Sets and the other cool City Sets ? There are houndreds of small Sets but only a few of the bigger sets! Lego is going to make a mistake! With what they gonna make Money ? With some Minifigs and some loose Exo-Mashines? Okay Indy-Sets are very cool but the rest is stupid und nonsense! Give us more Legends and some more City Sets like Houses ans even things that it is worth to buy it!
If Lego goes on with those little Sets, i will only get 1 or 2 of the Sets and Lego will not make Money this Year!

Posted by legoville410 in United States, 07 Oct 2007 21:10

i like the police sets and city sets i think they will make SOME money off of impulse but they are smart by only doing mars mission, city and castle to see if people will buy them!

Overall i like everything!

Hmm.. well, I can look forward to more airplanes. Hopefully there's gonna be more than that.

Posted by Deinonychus in United States, 07 Oct 2007 21:38

January is for several smaller sets at lower price-points. Larger, more expensive sets usually appear in July/August. It's been like that for years.

Anyhow, I'm liking what I'm seeing here...very much so!

Posted by Adam1428, 08 Oct 2007 00:17

I don't mind some of these new sets especially the planes (I'm a sucker for aircraft).
The only thing that continues to frustrate me is how lego continue keep making these
brilliant house sets and label them under "creator". Why can't they drop the brick trees,
whack a couple of system trees and flowers and some mini figs and you have got the perfect
town/city home, especially with the new yellow house that seems to have everything including
a BBQ. What, is that meat going to cook itself.
But I must also add that the Indy sets look great as well.

cool starwars sets!

Posted by usmingan, 08 Oct 2007 07:28

The pictures are taken down per request of LEGO.

Posted by Manxboi24 in United States, 08 Oct 2007 12:01

Wow! I managed to see them just after Huw posted them. But why did it have to be in a foreign language?

Posted by brickbuilder711 in United States, 08 Oct 2007 13:49

I got the pictures saved. I'm not happy that they're off, but that's rules.

Posted by Pegasi in United States, 08 Oct 2007 14:32

No! I didn't think to catch the photos before they were taken down... I'm gonna regret that.. :(

Posted by marcussmithAFTERTHECRASH, 08 Oct 2007 17:36

I was looking at the new police helicopter and saw that the man running towards the helicopter is carring handcuffs. I have never seen this before in any other set.

Posted by GeøDav in United States, 08 Oct 2007 17:42

If you zoom in on the image of 7744, you can see that the prisoner on the walkway is also wearing the new handcuffs. I haven't seen them before either. Well done Lego! Can't wait to buy quite a few of these sets especially the Indiana Jones sets and the new AT-AP.

Do you guys have anything to say about the new Bionicle? well if you do please post it and do you know what and where Tahu, Gali & Onua are? But at least Lewa, Kopaka & Pohato are awsome!!!!!!!!

Posted by Deinonychus in United States, 09 Oct 2007 12:38

The new Bionicle sets are very cool. Perhaps not as cool as the Barraki or the Mahri, but still a great set of new models for the line.

I'm speculating that in the second half of 2008 we may get Gali, Tahu, and Onua along with three more of the new bad guys. that'd be a nice change of pace instead of getting all the Toa at one shot and then their adversaries 6 months later.

Toa Ignika makes me think something may happen to the current Toa Mahri where they combine their esscences into one being. Reguardless, he's a cool looking set, even if the "toa with vehicle" sets have never been my favorites.

The smaller sets are also very nice. LEGO has really done well designing those since the Voya Nui Matoran a couple years ago. That they seem to be directly tied to their larger counterparts of the same colors is a nice touch.

I'd say Bionicle's 2008 future looks very promising.

I am getting the smaller cargo plane for sure, and maybe the bigger one. I don't like the Jack Stone pieces on the roof of the cargo truck, and the roof of the police truck, though.

Posted by Takeshi in Canada, 09 Oct 2007 21:14

The Exo-force looks promising, but did you notice that Ryo isn't in the initial sets?

Posted by Kanal-K1 in Czech Republic, 10 Oct 2007 07:04

Gotta it, photos downloaded from BS. And, as a bonus, in my language :-)))))). 7732 Postal Airplane is perfect, lovely small plane again in normal catalogue, not as airline promo only.Pity, that 7731 Mail Van is as terrible, only post box is nice at it. 7733 Cargo Truck looks nice, and is delivered with forklift.7734 Cargo Plane is again juniorized using big nose part, but, it is finally 4-propeller plane, not jet, therefore I will probably buy it.7743 Surveillance Truck looks qutie useful, and has more features than previous 7034 - 4 figs, dog, trike, and as add-on a police road post.7723 Police Hydroplane - looks too asymmetric - big nose, big tail, large wings, and only 12 studs of body between..

Posted by dragon50, 10 Oct 2007 10:34

Interesting pics... I got them when they were on klotsky... Why do I see a Shadow Trooper(the stormie in the Tie Crawler) in the Rogue Shadow cockpit? Why do they insist on hiding minifigs?

Posted by Toa Kongu in United States, 10 Oct 2007 11:18

The Star Wars sets look a little bit like Lego ran out of ideas for Lego Star Wars but Anakin's Jedi Starfighter looks really good but why is it not Blue like it is in Clone Wars? any way is the Rogue Shadow the ship of Darth Vaders Apprentice from the up coming video Game?

Posted by Exo-ForceFan in N/A, 10 Oct 2007 20:31

All of them look pretty good.

Posted by Jason in United States, 11 Oct 2007 22:09

I like the goblins - very LORD OF THE RINGS.

Posted by frogstudio in Argentina, 11 Oct 2007 23:38

To me, all the Castle sets are really great!!!! About the impulse sets, I find the really nice and usefull. Great army builders for Castle fans and remind me of the little sets included in the Advent Calendar, which, to me, are great...

Posted by jon11380 in United Kingdom, 12 Oct 2007 14:13

I am keen to know more about technic and creator sets for 2008, anybody know anything?

Posted by Souplooper, 13 Oct 2007 12:24

I will boycot Lego trains if they get rid of 9v!

Posted by Hitomi@Goldentower in United States, 13 Oct 2007 13:40

wonder what the Toa Ignika is?
Also all of these sets semm like they're going to be fun! I can't wait for my January birthday!

Are there pictures of the new sets anywhere?

Posted by Toa Kongu in United States, 13 Oct 2007 14:22

The Toa Ignika is probably Matoro after he puts on the mask of life.

Posted by Pegasi in United States, 13 Oct 2007 14:22

Didn't they phase out 9v trains like a year ago?

Posted by Redbullgivesuwind in United Kingdom, 06 Nov 2007 07:26

oh my god i am the world biggest lego star wars fan and the new sets look so so so so cool

Posted by jackishigh! in United States, 03 Dec 2007 22:42
