Head on over to the LEGO YouTube channel to see a video for The Hobbit set, Riddles of the Ring.

Update by Huw: There's a neat Hobbit section at LEGO.com that's revealing the sets one a week, which has some great images of the sets. The best part of it is that it's not Flash-based.

Thanks again to skipper1011 for this news!

I can't wait for the Hobbit! :D

At 2.40 that is a long video for such a small set! They could have built the set in real time.

That video is hilarious. I love the complete lack of excitement in the designer's voice and how he calls Gollum's fish small even though it's almost as big as him. Plus that's the wrong version of Gollum for this set.
Anyway, it's a neat set and I look forward to getting it.

I think its jsut the desgner being super focused and not a natural on camera.

if anything it doesen't seem like any of the designer videos are for kids.

Does this mean that LEGOs web developers are finally moving away from Flash? Lets hope so they experience on the section of the site is so much slicker than the normal stuff...

The best part was where he says "Let's recap" as if I forgot the two characters it comes with: Bilbo and Gollum.

How deliciously dry. As well as not being normal on-camera personalities, these designers, I'm sure English is not their first language.

Pretty obvious this is a $10/10UK set at most. Maybe $8/8UK even.

The picture of the box says "Riddles For The Ring," not "of"

^^ At NYCC it was announced that it's a $10US set. Not sure what it will be elsewhere.

I've only seen US prices for 3 of the 6 sets though. I can make guesses at some but it would be nice to know exactly so I can budget for them. The other two I've seen US prices for are An Unexpected Gathering ($60US), and The Goblin King ($100US).

All comments are disabled for the video..lol. I like the Bilbo Baggins figure. Too bad they don't have a version of his face where he tries to take the ring from Frodo! (Yes I know that is from LOTR and not The Hobbit)

Someone in the LEGO Promiton department needs to give their builders a manicure before filming these...

Ha, part of the appeal of these videos to me is that they are being presented by people who are straight-up stereotypical engineers. No pretensions, no hype. Love it.

However, this set still looks really boring to me, especially since I already have a Gollum.

This is probably the only set from The Hobbit that I'm gonna get, since I have no intention of collecting all 13 of those dwarves.

That is one seriously weird Lego Goblin King.....
How is he supposed to have grown to five times the size of a "normal" Goblin ???
I am pretty sure Tolkein said he is only supposed to be a larger than average Goblin in the Hobbit.

The Goblin King looks a little...lumpy :P
