Is this 100% online only? I hate buying things online so this really sucks, I wonder if some TRU stores will have them.

It says everywhere on the site that Shirtless Maul is an online only promotion. It cost me just about $9 more than the TRU price for ST jedi starfighter because of shipping and sales tax, plus I couldn't even use my discount. I hate online just as much as the next guy but I really wanted to make sure I got one of these figures.

Right now there is free shipping on purchases over $49, so that will save you about $5 if you choose to pick your purchase up in store and let the minifig come to you. You can have both come to you, but I live close enough to a TRU that I can just run there today and pick up the X-Wing and then Darth Maul will ship to me. Paid exactly the same amount for the X-Wing as I would have on shop.lego.com, plus it's out of stock on the Lego site. All in all, a great deal.

Does this mean I could just walk into my local TRU and buy one? I'm going to try to call sometime and see if they sell him.

Picked up a sith nightspeeder and used a 5 dollar rewards coupon and free shipping with the TRU credit card total shipped about $24 with tax :) ...still a slight TRU ripoff but i really wanted that darth maul fig, and that sith fig in the nightspeeder set is pretty awesome too!

They aren't advertising them in the store so I think you would be very lucky to find one there. Often when they do get a cool promo they might only get 10 of the item which is why they never seem to have any of the promos they are advertising. I did go to my local TRU today and there was no sign of them but they did have the coffin cars available for purchase.

I bought the 9497 Republic Striker-Class Starfighter at TRU online, the $49.99 price qualifies for the free shipping and the free Shirtless Maul. That price is $5 more than LEGO shop at home, so essentially I paid $5 for Shirtless Maul. Considering I can't get him any other way except on the secondary market, that's a great price!

Finally!, I saw this the other day and thought, well I can always add another ship to the star wars collection. I ordered the y-wing which also got free shipping...paypal with bill me later = buy now, pay later...lol
