    Another excellent LotR/Hobbit polybag has surfaced in TRU in the USA. 30212 Mirkwood Elf Guard features a minifig that does not appear in any other Hobbit set so it's a must for Hobbit fans, minifig collectors and polybag aficionados. There's a Mirkwood elf in set 79004 but he doesn't have a dark green hood.

    Although TRU.com will ship internationally, it appears it won't ship this set, so if anyone would be kind enough to ship some over, perhaps in exchange for some Uruk-hai's, please get in touch!

The hood without a cape looks really odd to me. Kinda wish he'd have an elven hairpiece instead.

^I had the same thought as @atkinsar. I predict a second-Saturday granny riot for these in WHS next May.

If I may jump on the bandwagon, to any American members who happen to pick up a surplus, I'd love to buy/trade for a couple of these (Sun Promos, or any of the CMFs series 1-8 to trade if there's still interest in them).

This is of course madness, but right when I saw this post I started to assemble a TRU order to take advantage of all their sales and get free shipping. I can't say I'm really interested in much but if anyone is interested in me picking them up it costs 31.54 for five including sales tax.

Again, just as with the christmas promotion I feel left behind in the netherlands. All the cool polybag sets seem te be designated as 'persona non grata' in the netherlands.
Uruk hai? Nowhere, frodo? Never heard of him. Super heros? Who are they? Star wars plolybags? it feels like 10 new ones each year. none of them made it to the netherlands. We get stuck with police helicopters and ninjago sets.

This looks like a brilliant polybag, look at those parts! A mushroom, tree parts, a barrel, a dark green hood, a trans-green goblet and a long bow, incredible!

I placed three orders online for the maximum of five in each order. Based on the number of folks who messaged me, I'll probably order some more tomorrow.

I did end up calling one of the stores and the nice lady couldn't find the polybag in the system. I'll call the other store here tormorrow and see if they're able to find it by Product ID and if so, when/if they expect any locally.

For any of you who have the TRU Mastercard, they are offering free shipping with no minimum purchase if you use your TRU Mastercard. However, I ordered 5 of this polybag and was charged the shipping cost. After a lengthy call with customer service, I got my order shipped for free. They said that "they have had many complaints about this and will get it fixed in a week or two" Really? Shouldn't that be more of a priority? Anyway, if you have a TRU Mastercard, watch your shipping charge.

It appears they pulled them from the web, and I only managed to get 1 at the store, since I said asked for it. They had to get it from the stockroom. The store clerk said that they are holding the inventory to give them out with the other Hobbit sets to launch soon. I am not sure how they will give them out. Perhaps, buy over certain amount and get one free, or buy a certain set(s) and get one free.

I called and one store got them in today. When we went to pick them up they had them stashed under the customer service counter and not on the racks. If you go to TRU make sure to ask a person to see if they are hiding them. This store got one case which was 50 of them.

I bought 21 of this sweet set at my local TRU today (in order to qualify for the buy over $100 LEGO, get $25 discounted deal, which ends today). So I essentially got them all for 25% off, which is a pretty good deal to find in a TRU around the holidays. They had about 30 left on the pegs. Some will be stocking stuffers and I will probably trade some for other polys, but I really love this set and want to keep the rest! A perfect polybag in my opinion. And really, can one ever have enough elves?
