Advent day 6

Advent day 6Can you believe it, we're one-quarter of the way through the calendars already!

In the City calendar today, we have a naughty boy with some snowballs.

His green torso is uncommon and has only ever appeared in three Christmas-themed sets for whatever reason.

The spare helmet will come in handy, I'm sure.

Advent day 6We have our second (and last) mini-doll in the Friends calendar. Like Olivia on day one, Stephanie is sporting a lovely seasonal outfit.

Advent day 6In the Star Wars window today, in keeping with the Naboo theme of the calendar so far, we get what must surely be the most boring 'minifig' in the Star Wars universe. Don't we all have hundreds of these already? At least it has a dark red torso, I suppose.

    City -- 9, great minifig.
Friends -- 9, unique mini-doll in festive outfit.
    Star Wars -- 5, yawn...

The battle droid could at least have a blaster...

You can never have enough droids! Star Wars and Coty were great today!

That green winter jacket torso first appeared on a minifigure in last year's City advent calendar, but yeah, it's pretty rare. I wish they'd print it on another color torso though, for some variety.

The green torso is also in 2011 city calendar, it came with the eskimo!

Wow my daughter was shocked she got the Christmas Stephanie already. She is over the moon

Posted by Cligra in United States, 06 Dec 2012 13:05

Actually, that's not Stephanie, it's the COMPLETELY different character Christina, who is unique to the calendar.

Came here to say the same thing as Cligra - the hairdo makes the woman. (Well, hairdo and eye color, apparently.)

Thanks, that is even better

I would accept the security Battle Droid if only it had the markings on the torso like in the Naboo Starfighter set, but as it is, a poor effort from Lego. Hopefully we are just getting the rubbish out of the way early on.

I know it's the same helmet as the skater minifigs, but when my son & I opened the panel today he said "the little boy has gray gloves and hat like me!" So what is a helmet elsewhere might double for a stretchy winter cap here.

Christina is one of the main reasons I wish the LEGO Friends Calendar hadn't been so darn limited. She's a Mini-Doll with a unique looking outfit, which is something most of the Mini-Dolls can't boast due to the sharing of parts and exact same colors between them.

My son loves his battle droid, so we clearly don't ALL have enough of them ! And his has a blaster....

The Friends mini doll looks lovely - how cute is she ?!

According to the instructions, I got 4 extra snowballs in the City calendar. Very strange.

Battle droids are good. One can never have to many and it's nice when they are a special type like this security droid. I admit it would be better if it had the torso detailing like on last year's Naboo starfighter but I expect their will at least be a blaster for him tomorrow.

...at least I don't mind the Battle Droids...

The more... the merrier!! :D

Friends really does seem to be delivering the goods for the advent calendar this year. The Minidolls are certainly growing on me as I see more of them.

Christina mini-doll is the reason why I bought the Friends calendar in the first place... She's lovely, she's got the cutest outfit and I just have to have all the characters... The City calendar kid is great too.

Wish I had gotten the friends one as well as the other two, it is the best one of the bunch really.

All the love heaped on the friends calendar...I wonder if it will go away when people find that the two mini-dolls they have are all they're getting.

The CITY minifig is absolutely awesome. The double printed torso/winther jacket is just cute and full of details.

I actually bricklinked a boatload of battle droids for my nephew's Christmas present this year. He told me he had tons of clones but no bad guys for them to fight. I got him about ten with some assorted blasters. So as a grownup I might not be impressed, but I'm guessing more cannon-fodder is welcome for the kids.

But personally, I'm still cheezed about being unable to get the Friends calendar. After last year's SW one I wasn't impressed, and I wish in vain for some kingdoms or pirates or something. Something besides more firemen and cops.

I personally love any chance to build my army which, as of right now suprisingly does not include a red battle droid torso, so I was really happy to see that it was red :) (I'm asking for it for Christmas:). )

My kids were totally bored with the battle droid (though my daughter loved carrying the extra arms around). They're having a lot more fun with the sw advent calendar website than the actual models at the moment...
