If you're in the UK, head on down to your local Argos right away -- their catalogue now lists all six Toy Story sets and six Atlantis sets. My branch had 4 of the Toy Story sets (no Zurg or Roundup) and it appears from searching online, most branches have two of each of these four, so if you want them, reserve them online or get down there quick! (Thanks to Jasen in the Brickish forums for the tip off!)

Update 27 Dec: cllmkrr says "LEGO Power Miners, Toy Story and City are now avalible from Tesco" which opened for the first time since Christmas today. I haven't checked my local store but I will be doing so first thing tomorrow. It seems TRU also have a good selection, including Ben 10.

AAAAGGGH!!! Couldn't they do it before Christmas?!? At least they are coming...

Posted by tman684 in United States, 26 Dec 2009 09:09

Most Toys R Us and Walmarts in USA have 2010 powerminers, atlantis, toy story and Ben 10 sets

Posted by Rock Raider in Finland, 26 Dec 2009 09:20

Some Atlantis are available in Finland! :-)
8072 Sea Jet and 8073 Manta Warrior! (have them both)
Both sets are released in Finland, but in brickset, it reads, that these two sets aren't released yet ???

@Alemas, because they want you to go out and spend more money!

@Rock Raider, thanks, now sorted.

@Huw: Now that's SO unfair! Don't they think about the kids?!? You know, having everything by Christmas Day instead of buying more later?!? *Sighs*

Reserved two Toy Story sets online and rushed down to Argos forgetting everything is closed today!

This MAY be interesting: http://us.universe.lego.com/en-gb/NewsNetwork/Story.aspx?id=150533 It's about those LEGO pods, and it says the next one will come here in England! More info here: http://www.bradfordrant.org/ and here: http://us.universe.lego.com/en-gb/NewsNetwork/Story.aspx?id=141343 BTW, these pods are all to do with LEGO Universe! LEGO doesn't say it, but I'm sure the pods have SOMETHING to do with LU! Huw, bluemoose, Dr. Sinister, prepare to find these pods! Another thing: These pods always land in LEGO Stores! So, you may want to go to Brighton, or another nearby LEGO Store!

Argos' website must be suffering from holiday gremlins. Catalog no. 388/1769 is listed as Construct-a-Buzz but catalog no. 081/9693 is also listed as Construct-a-Buzz, even though the photo shows Construct-a-Zurg. Anyhoo I have reserved the Zurg (I hope) but it's telling me that I can't collect it at my local store until Tuesday 29th. Anybody else having the same trouble with Argos?

Posted by Huw in United Kingdom, 26 Dec 2009 17:06

@PaulC -- I noticed that too. I've reserved it to pick up Tuesday as well so won't know if it's the wrong one until then either.

Just to add to this, I managed to pick up Woody and Buzz to the Recue, two boxes of Army Men on Patrol, and Wreck Raider from the Atlantis line, all from Argos in Wolverhampton, West Midlands.

Seems as though they're (trying to) carrying the entire range. I was able to reserve all the above for collection for today (26/12/09), but ended up popping down and buying them there and then. They don't appear to be in the catalogue proper yet, just on promotional material in store, so I got the catalogue numbers online.

I went to the Medway (near Rochester / Chatham) Toys R Us today. People were queueing to get in! From the Toy Story range they had all except the Construct-A-Zurg. I got Buzz's Ship and the Army Men.

From the Atlantis range they had all of them except the 2 tiny single-figure sets and the Shadow Snapper (8079). I only bought the Wreck Raider, have to save funds!

They also had all 6 Ben-10 sets and the Fire Helicopter from the City range. No new Star Wars sets yet.

Also, at least Toys r us' in America are selling 9 Atlantis sets, The Bionicle Stars, and a variety of 2010 star wars and space police sets.

I saw the Atlantis at my local TRU sometime last week. The new Star Wars sets are out near me too.

Awesome, it's my Birthday on the 29th and I have found three of the new 2010 Star Wars sets in TRU Brighton. The rebel trooper battlepack, the snowtrooper battlepack and the ARC 170. If you are in the area, they are definetely worth a look!

Posted by Commander-Cody in United Kingdom, 28 Dec 2009 06:07

My local TRU had ALL the Atlantis sets (except impulses)! :) It also had about 1/2 the Toy Story sets and 4/6 of the Ben 10 monsters. No City, Bionicle, Technic, Star Wars etc. though yet! I bought the Wreck Raider, the Typhoon Turbo Sub, the Gateway of the Squid and Shadow Snapper (overpriced limited edition).

Monster crab attack: £4.99
Wreck Raider: £7.99
Guardian of the Deep: £12.99
Seabed Scavenger: £14.99
Typhoon Turbo Sub: £19.99
Gateway of the Squid: £24.99
Neptune Carrier: £39.99

Shadow Snapper: £27.99 (only @ TRU so is overpriced). I don't have a clue how many pieces were in it so don't ask me. Wait for an American box to update the database with piece count. I do like the monster in it though!

After reading Huw's update I took a trip to Highwoods Colchester Tesco. There are some new releases but they're a bit sporadic and the shelves are in chaos!

City: Just one set (my first 2010 City set!) 3177 City Car
Power Miners: 8188 Fire Blaster only
Toy Story: 7592 Construct-a-Buzz, 7595 Green Army Men (only 1 on shelf!)
Some Ben 10 and a handful of the smaller Atlantis - Typhoon Turbo, Seabed Scavenger, Wreck Raider etc.

@Huw: Went into Argos today and picked up my Construct-a-Zurg http://www.brickset.com/detail/?Set=7591-1 - it was the right set! Argos have updated their computer system with the correct title, and all the Atlantis and Toy Story sets are now available to order from the Laminated Book of Dreams in-store.
