2010 sets at LEGOShop.com in the UK and Europe and SALE now on!

  • 2010 sets at LEGOShop.com in the UK and Europe and SALE now on!

Posted by Huw, 28 Dec 2009 08:26. Filed under shop.LEGO.com (General).

Toy Story, Star Wars, Technic, Power Miners, Atlantis: they are all now available but they are hard to find: the site is probably in a transient state while they add the new themes so you'll have to search for each set or theme individually. Click on the yellow 'Shop Today' image on the right and search away.

The sale has also started: check out the Sales And Dealsicon page, there are nearly 200 sets in the sale at 25%-50% off, including Star Wars.

Yes! Finally!

Posted by Legomaster135 in United States, 28 Dec 2009 08:43

The 2010 sets are all in the "What's new in the shop" area

Posted by Alemas in Germany, 28 Dec 2009 08:53

Hey, the 2010 sets are also available in the US! BTW, here's a handy link: http://shop.lego.com/WhatsNew/ProductsLaunched2009.aspx?va=1

yeah!

Posted by Commander-Cody in United Kingdom, 28 Dec 2009 09:09

Thanks for the update Huw. I can order my precious ARC 170

PS Huw, you may want to mention that all the non-keychain etc. Star Wars sets are sold out already. It doesn't matter because I had 90% of those on sale already (I even got the Magnaguard fighter for £20 last year)

Posted by legoguysw in United Kingdom, 28 Dec 2009 11:31

Everything from 'Robo Attack' downwards on the list is 'SOLD OUT'.
Darn, I really waned that Gold Heist for £10.74 :C
Mobile Command Center for only £36.69! Sold out... :C
Huw, are most of the items on sale likely to dissapear when the sales end?

Posted by LegoCoastalPatrol in United Kingdom, 28 Dec 2009 11:36

Thanks Huw,

I've ordered the three City sets (3177, 3179 and 3180) which I have been looking out for!

Best Wishes for the New Year,

Ian.

It is also available in U.S. now too!!!

Posted by HSWW in United States, 28 Dec 2009 12:42

i was so excited when i first saw them then i found out that basically every single set was sold out. It is so aynoying are they likely to get more in any time soon!!

Posted by WedgeAntilles in United States, 28 Dec 2009 13:08

They have most of them out in the US...noticed there were a lot of the 2008 releases that are gone from the Clone Wars page.

Posted by iabstract in United States, 28 Dec 2009 13:09

Awesome. I just had this surplus of money and was wondering how I could get rid of it...

btw, is there a link on Brickset for Amazon.com purchases? I know there is for Lego.com, but Amazon tends to have the same prices (or better, so long as it's through Amazon and not one of their thieving re-sellers) than Lego.com, and you can get free shipping, too.

Posted by Huw in United Kingdom, 28 Dec 2009 14:40

@All -- sorry for getting your hopes up: it seems virtually everything sold out within minutes of it being listed earlier today, or perhaps was never available to start with.

@iabstract: there are Amazon links in search results and on the set details pages.

Posted by Pulpdiction in United Kingdom, 28 Dec 2009 14:43

Very poor sale, everything from about a third of the way down the page was listed as sold out.

Some nice new sets on the site though.

Posted by julencin2000 in Spain, 28 Dec 2009 15:41

I think everything was never available. I've been checking daily, and suddenly comes the sale, and suddenly everything interesting is sold out. =_=

Posted by alexfig8 in United States, 28 Dec 2009 15:47

I saw the toy story stuff and they do not have the big buzz and zurg

Posted by brickmatt in United States, 28 Dec 2009 16:38

I'm not sure about the UK, but I just checked the US site again and all of the new sets (Toy Story, Atlantis, etc.) are still listed as available. I think several sale items are still available too.

Absolutely terrible deals, logged on this am and all sold out! However if you want a bargain - Forbidden Planet are doing Temple of Doom for £29.99, Fight on flying wing for £19.99 and Figher Planes for £14.99! And got my Big Buzz from Argos today - awesome!

Posted by thebrickdaddy in United States, 28 Dec 2009 18:31

No Lavatraz or Claw Catcher in the USA!!!!! X(

Are LEGO sets discontinued much sooner these days than they used to be? I think virtually all the 2008 Star Wars sets have been discontinued. All but four or five of the Indy sets have been discontinued too. Even the Battle of Endor set, which was released only six months ago or so, seems to have been discontinued (which I'm a little disappointed about as I was hoping to buy it some time next year).

Solihull TRU Update:
The TRU in Sears Retail Park, Solihull, (UK) had atleast five of the Ben 10 sets, if not all, Toy Story sets: Green Army Men, Build a Buzz, Western town set, the set with the RC Car and Space Command from what I can recall, and some Atlantis sets. There were also large boxes of sets marked 'LEGO' that were being upacked so there may be more now.

Just back from the Brighton Lego store - they have half a dozen Giant Chess Sets http://www.brickset.com/detail/?Set=852293-1 that were discounted earlier this year for only £102.

No new 2010 stuff - as posted here and elsewhere they have to keep it off the shelves until the new year. The very helpful guy I talked to did say that the Imperial Flagship would be available from the 1st of January - Lego.Com says 29th? Hope he is right!

cheers,

timbutnice

Posted by Legomaster135 in United States, 29 Dec 2009 09:49

When is the Imperial Flagship coming out? January 1st or 29th?

I'm really disapointed with this year sale for space, everything sold out in less than 24h. One set was even sold out before the sale! I just received the janary 2010 catalog and no space police 3! are all set discontinued?
thanks to huw by the way and a happy new year to brickset and his readers.

Posted by Brickbuilder0937 in United States, 30 Dec 2009 00:57

Just so everyone knows, most of the sets listed on the sales and deals page were sold out before they were put on sale.

Posted by jimnbobproductions in United Kingdom, 30 Dec 2009 09:25

@Huw- just an update, the bionicle stars are on there now too! priced at 6.99.

Posted by jimnbobproductions in United Kingdom, 30 Dec 2009 09:29

@Huw- sorry, i forgot to add that you will have to type their actual name and set number into google shopping to find them, they are hidden in the exclusive and hard to find items, kind of like an easter egg on DVD's!

Posted by geckostocks in United Kingdom, 30 Dec 2009 10:54
