    If you're a Friends fan, or have little ones in your house who are, you might be interested in a new blog that the FBTB team has just launched.

    The aim of HeartlakeFriends.com is to "take an unbiased position to look past the noise of any perceived controversy and celebrate all the positive aspects and outcomes from LEGO Friends."

    To help the launch, there are a couple of competitions on the go which you can find out about at FBTB.

Great idea and I love how it even showcases some MOC Friends creations. But they may want to change the advertising on top. "Little ones in your house" don't need to nessecarily be seeing adds for dating older women, I won't go into detail. Just check it out before your kids do. Otherwise, a great site with a great mission!

I think the ad may be related more to the websites you are viewing. When I go there, I see Amazon, Adobe, etc (ads based on your interests, you may also see ads based on the types of sites you visit, whether you +1 something, and more.) But it is a good word of caution.

Hmmm, while I admire the effort (personally, I have a favorable opinion of Friends myself), I think it's a bit arrogant to enshrine a certain point-of-view in the site's mission statement and then claim in the same mission statement to be "unbiased". LEGO Friends may be great, but it's not flawless, and while I'm sure a site run by the FBTB team won't be afraid to call attention to the theme's flaws, their mission statement seems to tell a different story.

Overall, though, I do hope this site will continue to build enthusiasm for LEGO Friends in the LEGO community. It's a very well-designed theme and I'd love to get to the point where LEGO Friends fans within the theme's target audience have a healthy community to grow into as an alternative to a "dark age".

I got to say, as a guy in the late 20s, friends is the best thing happened to lego since cheese slopes!
