Welcome Urschel and other members this year! I saw this milestone approaching a few days ago and had forgotten all about it until now.

welcome and can I say how amazing this site has been for me since joining on a couple of weeks ago .... excellent well done .... Pooohbear

This is a good site, I have to say. Needs more regular updates though, like the stuff with the advent calendars. I was coming back here several times a day to read the updates.

Welcome

I have actually been coming to this site for a few years, but I never got around to becoming a member until a month or two ago. I am really enjoying the "my sets" function of the site. Welcome to all newcomers!

Welcome Urschel! Brickset is an excellent tool for information but most of all it's for sharing our passion for LEGO. Thanks to you and to every member, let's keep growing our community!

Posted by DietrichEvanFilms in United States, 30 Dec 2012 08:18

As Urschel is from finland, he probably doesn't understand a thing that we are typing... just sayin' :D

Posted by lukehankenobi in United Kingdom, 30 Dec 2012 08:47

I just had a Bricklink order from Finland. He spoke perfect written English, unlike our friends from USofA! Which, though it is legitimate language, certainly is not English, anymore than Jamaican Patwah is.

Welcome Urschel

Another great milestone for Brickset. Welcome Urschel.

Posted by lego613master in United States, 30 Dec 2012 09:05

on my statistics, it only says 49,998. huh?

Posted by masterX244 in Germany, 30 Dec 2012 09:36

statistics fail completely for me. every number that connects to a membercount somehow disappeared

Posted by TheLens19 in United Kingdom, 30 Dec 2012 09:39

^^ Me too, all of the member related data is gone! Huw, what's wrong?

Posted by TheLens19 in United Kingdom, 30 Dec 2012 09:40

^^ The data is back again now!

Posted by Huw in United Kingdom, 30 Dec 2012 09:46

That data only updates once every day because it takes a while to compile it all.

It was blank a minute ago because I just made a configuration change to the site which causes it to recompile it.

> Needs more regular updates though

It's interesting that you say that. There may only be one or two news articles on an average day, but there is so much going on behind the scenes: 20+ user reviews a day, new sets, images, instruction links and inventories being added and so on.

Maybe the issue is that so much happens but unless you know where to look, it's not obvious?

Hi this site is wonderful ^.^ I had been looking at this site for a while, but then when I learned about the my sets function, thats what really made me want to join, I love how every lego set is right here so I don't have to go all over the place looking for them, all in all I really like it here ^.^
Welcome Urschel

Welcome all

Posted by LegoManiac98 in United States, 30 Dec 2012 10:19

I recently joined a few weeks ago and I love this site its one of my favorites places to check up on LEGO news. I like reviewing sets and reading other peoples sets, which makes my knowledge of LEGO products much more better than it was. other that that Welcome all newcomers of this year!

Posted by MoonKnight in United States, 30 Dec 2012 10:53

The only problem with this info is that it might not be 100 percent accurate. Some people might have more than one login because they couldn't figure out how to delete one. I'm guilty.

Posted by klatu003 in United States, 30 Dec 2012 11:07

Welcome Urschel. Thanks for all your hard work Huw. Since joining earlier this year, my first use was to find sets by category. Next I started using prices - extremely valuable. Especially while standing in TRU! (essential to make the calculation real price + TRU tax - TRU discount.) Now it is the first place I check online each day. You keep me informed of all things Lego.

Posted by cetanhota in United States, 30 Dec 2012 11:10

Joined back in November, its now become a common and daily site I visit. I have all my sets in the database now, and just on Christmas Day, I got my sister to sign up on the site for my little niece. My son and daughter both collect Legos. This is a great site and I am so happy I found it.

Welcome Urschel!
I think every Fin speaks English very well as most inhabitants of the Scandinavian countries and Holland/Belgium. ;-)
Brickset has become my favourite website, I check it at least twice a day! Keep on the good work Huw and the other members of the team.
I wish all 50,000 members a Bricking Happy 2013!

Bienvenue & Welcome guys !

Posted by TheJake in United States, 30 Dec 2012 12:04

I've been visiting this site for years, but only just signed on a few months ago. I'm very thankful for it and hope it continues to run into the far future. (unless of course the world ends new years :P)

Posted by H5N1 in Germany, 30 Dec 2012 12:33

Hi, nice milestone for the site!

But I have another problem: I can't see the most popular searches on the right side anymore! That was a really nice feature. Is it gone for good or is there another problem perhaps with my settings? I didn't change anything as far as I know. I'm using firefox 17.0.1. The most popular searches were bold and so on. Do other people also miss that feature?

@H5N1
I seem to have that problem too. (maybe it's Firefox, I also use that browser)

Brickset is amazing! I've only been a member for about 2 months, but I've known and looked at brickset for a year. It is great!

Hi and welcome Urschel

Posted by Lordmoral in United States, 30 Dec 2012 13:49

Hey everybody, the 2013 Star Wars sets are up for sale in the official site. I have been visiting this site for the last few months, and I love it here. I could also write some articles on GameInformer, or I can provide links to different news in one of my Blogs. Like here: http://www.gameinformer.com/members/lordmoral/blogs/default.aspx.

Posted by Huw in United Kingdom, 30 Dec 2012 14:15

Popular searches have been removed temporarily, it was taking too much space and there was some duplication which I need to sort out. I'll get it back ASAP.

Thanks everyone for your comments :-)

Posted by Isabella and Lego Liker in United States, 30 Dec 2012 14:31

Looks like nthe next milestone will be for 10,000 sets, as we're about 250 away from it, so about another year.

Posted by brettnavinskie in United States, 30 Dec 2012 14:48

Sup everybody! I love brickset!!!!!!!!!!!!

Posted by brickblaster67 in United States, 30 Dec 2012 15:10

Posted by atkinsar in United Kingdom, 31 Dec 2012 04:33

A massive milestone, well done Brickset and a big welcome to all new members.

I've been a member since early 2009 and it's great that I now get to contribute to my favourite website in a small way.

Posted by Huw in United Kingdom, 31 Dec 2012 13:28

@brickblaster67. The total does not include people who have not logged in since 2010 or who have registered but then not successfully logged in afterwards. That's why your member number is higher than 50,000. The numbers being allocated currently are in the 75,000s I think.

Posted by brickblaster67 in United States, 31 Dec 2012 15:46

@huw ok thanks. Makes sense.
