New year at shop.LEGO.com

  • New year at shop.LEGO.com

Posted by Huw, 01 Jan 2013 04:35. Filed under shop.LEGO.com (General).

New products have been added to shop.LEGO.com in the UK, including Horizon Express, City, Creator, Super Heroes, Ninjago, Technic and Star Wars.

However, notable by their absence are Galaxy Squad, TMNT and the Star Wars Planets. It looks as if we'll have to wait a few more months for them, in the UK at least, although bizarrely the latter are on the shelves in other other European countries already, as you can read below.

Presumably they are now out in Lego shops as well?

I am a bit disappointed that Galaxy Squad has yet to be released, TMNT I am not so worried about but it does seem rather strange to release them elsewhere and hold them back here for months.

I know two mintues after midnight i bought all the ninjago and my brother got star wars.

In Poland also there is lack of Planet Sets (there are all other SW Sets) :-( But there is one set of Galaxy Squad available (70703) and TMNT also available.

I just logged onto shop.lego.com to order the AT-RT, BARC Speeder with Sidecar, and the Z-95 Headhunter, but I also wanted the Jedi Starfighter w. Kamino because of R4-P17 but sadly I'll have to wait :(.

I'd buy the MHC but I don't have the money - on it goes to the birthday list...

I stayed up till 2 in the morning to see if the superheroes sets had been put up but they hadn't but thanks to brickset for telling me they have now been put up so I'll either buy them in a lego store or I will get them online, Happy New Year :-)

Does anyone know if toys r us have these in yet?

Posted by TheLens19 in United Kingdom, 01 Jan 2013 06:36

I noticed that the new CITY set, Fire Motorcycle 60000, was not listed on the online shop. I have sent LEGO an e-mail through their customer service page, so hopefully it will be sorted out!

Posted by Firox 5000 in United Kingdom, 01 Jan 2013 06:51

Yes, there does seem to be a few sets missing, fire motorcycle, police chase etc/:. However in the last Lego shop magazine I got, I'm certain I saw the planet sets listed for January release there. Maybe it's just me or is the Uk being treated undairlyLego wise for 2013 ( less reasonable price exchanges, delayed theme releases etc/:).

Also, LEGO has sneakily put up the price of 4432 - Garbage Truck, from £14.99 to £17.99. I suppose its to pull the old 'Great Vehicle' sets in with the new ones, but its still cheeky!

Posted by morteroa in Norway, 01 Jan 2013 06:53

already got the Fire motorcycle 60000 at a "ringo" store in Norway. Looks great next to the purple and dark red motorcycles from the superheroes sets. Now if only I could find the orange and black one.. :)

I really want quite a few of the new city sets, but i havent got any money, just typical isnt it.

Really disappointed that Lego decided to not give us any TMNT or Galaxy Squad yet :( Will have to put off my huge S@H order for a few more months now!
Shocked at the SH prices, Daily Bugle for £40 is excellent!

I have just returned from the Brighton Lego store and the staff could shed no light on when we might be seeing TMNT or Galaxy Squad sets, other than telling me that they did not think that they were getting them in store this month, but they were not entirely sure quite when we would see them. The Star Wars Planets sets were all there in stock, as well as all of the City sets which are apparently not available online yet.

It does seem a little bit unfair, but what can you do? We will have to wait and see, the delay gives us time to save up I suppose!

I got to the Lego shop on Cardiff today and they had the series 3 Star Wars planets (no B-Wing unfortunately), the A-Wing and Hoth Battle sets, but the Rancor Pit didn't seem to be in stock (I didn't ask as I'm hoping to find a way to get it at less than £60!), perhaps in keeping with the instructions not being up yet?
(Sorry everyone, I'm pretty blinkered so I can't speak for any other themes! :P)

The battle of both set seems to be a hard to find, anyone know if I can get it at toys

Lego Shop Manchester had pretty much all the confirmed releases. saw most of the star wars and all the new superheroes sets, so i nabbed a Sith Trooper pack, Batman on Ice and the Spiderman vs Venom set to put me off till TRU gets them in.

Posted by Gandalf the brick in United Kingdom, 02 Jan 2013 16:31

Toys r us doesn't seem to have any of the new sets yet

Posted by Gregorovich in United Kingdom, 03 Jan 2013 16:12

Some things are a little cheaper than I expected, including the Pink Suitcase - at £19.99, I'll be picking that up for sure.

However, as someone else said, pretty annoying the Great Vehicles have gone up in price. I know it's only £3, but for some people (such as myself) every penny counts when it comes to LEGO!
