Well, that seems to have worked!

With luck it should also add any new sets that are found directly to the set database to save me the trouble. Hopefully we'll see it in action soon.

Huw, does this mean it automatically adds the instructions to the Brick By Brick iPad app as well?

Yes, I think so. Links to the scans have always been added automatically, but now these alerts are being generated when new ones are found.

In about four hours this went from requested feature to implemented? Brilliant.

@lloyd. It's called brick by brick.
@huw. How do I save instructions I download via brick by brick?

No idea, but knowing iOS you probably can't.

@Huw and @legodaddy71,
If you are using an Apple device, press the menu button and the power button simultaneously (don't hold the buttons). It will take a screenshot that will save in your Photo App.

Also I would suggest the app AWOB as well. It requires an Internet connection (as probably most instruction apps do) but functions well and is simple to use.

On iOS devices you should be able to select the open in iBooks option for pdf's which saves them into the device but I don't know a way of getting them off, or I have Dropbox installed and you can open PDFs into Dropbox which saves them to the 'cloud, so you could then login via computer and copy them off or other iOS devices and view your saved Dropbox files
