Legends of Chima polys on kids' magazine covers?

This month's Toy News trade magazine has an article about marketing for LoC by LEGO in the UK. We know about most of it already, but one new aspect is mentioned: "Chima will be promoted in kids' publications The Beano and Toxic, including a series of takeover issues, competitions, puzzles, feature scenes, covermounts and mini mags."

I guess this means we might see the likes of 30255, which consists of a minifig and not much else, on the covers. So, keep your eyes peeled!

Latest issue of Toxic... http://www.toxicmag.co.uk/on-sale-now/

Chima on the cover, but no free gift as yet (just stickers).

That might be all it ever is, stickers and other low-value stuff.

The Beano has been known to have CMFs on the cover, so why not one of the smaller Chima poly bags?

Hope so.

In the above link to Toxic, why is there a random picture of a LOTR minifig at the bottom?

^It's a link to another promotional website.

Toxic has given away a full ninjago spinner set in the past sans normal packaging so anything is possible.

Covermounts mean absolutely anything & there have been plenty of Lego related freebies with Toxic - the stickers with the current issue are the perfect example.

Minifigures don't tend to come on UK magazine covers - the 30070 Toy Story aliens with the Toy Story magazine is an exception I can recall but then that was only a Tesco exclusive & free with a magazine that supported the theme.
