Does this mean they won't be in the UK?

Posted by mokey2345 in United Kingdom, 16 Feb 2010 15:50

Oh I wanted to get the fire chief that's out.

Posted by Huw in United Kingdom, 16 Feb 2010 16:17

Zwing, they might turn up somewhere eventually, but who knows. Better to be safe than sorry!

Posted by lego123456gh in United Kingdom, 16 Feb 2010 16:26

They will probaly come out in the UK in the daily mirror :-)

Posted by Unknown User2596 in United States, 16 Feb 2010 16:37

Nothing at my Target yet. :(

However, there are some easter displays, so I reckon it won't be long.....

(Isn't it a bit early to put out easter stuff?)

Posted by MisterFubar in United States, 16 Feb 2010 16:46

I found them on accident at one of my local Targets in Olathe KS last night. Just happened to walk down the seasonal/easter aisle on my way to the back of the store and saw them out of the corner of my eye.

Posted by roar15 in United States, 16 Feb 2010 17:04

That's the same thing (accident) that happened to me. I went in for something else, was walking by the holiday aisles hoping to score some discounted Valentine candy, and saw the new sets. The shelves were full at the Tartget I got them from in Grand Rapids, Michigan. They also had a couple of Duplo sets right next to the City and StarWars ones. I don't remember the set numbers though.

Polybags? so if i see them are they gonna be little bags? What do they look like?

Posted by roar15 in United States, 16 Feb 2010 19:13

Yes, they are a small (~5"x6") plastic bag. There is a picture of the fire chief bag here:
http://www.brickset.com/detail/?Set=30010-1

I got all of mine Monday 2-15-2010. It looked like they had just started to stock the Easter stuff.

Posted by alpha 40 in United States, 16 Feb 2010 19:13

I was at Target yesterday and they didn't have any. I guess I will have to check soon.

Posted by nerfman2227 in United States, 16 Feb 2010 20:29

i just picked up the fire chief and the x-wing.

Posted by legofanatic2414 in United States, 16 Feb 2010 21:17

Thanks, Rory. I think i'll go check at my nearest Target.

Posted by christopher in United States, 16 Feb 2010 21:57

will they be at any walmarts? the nearest target for me is about a hour away.

Posted by WedgeAntilles in United States, 16 Feb 2010 22:38

too bad i dont go to target enough to take advantage of these...the X-wing looks especially nice to me. No chance of it being online then, I assume?

Posted by doodlebird in United States, 16 Feb 2010 23:47

none in the two south austin, tx as of yet.
checked earlier tonight.

Posted by Chaos_Tec in Australia, 17 Feb 2010 00:40

is there a chance they'll come out down here in Australia? Or only for the northern hemisphere?

Posted by bmwlego in United States, 17 Feb 2010 04:29

christopher-In the few years that Target has been doing this I've NEVER seen these at Wal-mart.

As for being online, you know they'll be on ebay.

Huw, any offers yet to get them overseas to you?

Posted by Huw in United Kingdom, 17 Feb 2010 04:54

@bmw, not yet!

Posted by bmwlego in United States, 17 Feb 2010 05:00

Consider it done! I'll get over to my local Targets, perhaps as early as today. If they have any in stock I'll pick em up for you. How many would you like of each? I was just at Target yesterday (before I saw this post!). I'll either make it back to Target today or over the weekend.

Let me know how many you would like and I'll see what I can do.

Posted by I like Lego in Canada, 17 Feb 2010 08:12

To bad they don't have a Target in Canada. The last time I got an Impulse set, and took it to the cashier, he laughed at me since it was $5.99 for this little set (7567 Traveler to be correct).

Posted by Aquapolis in United States, 17 Feb 2010 08:16

Is it me or is it that Lego has finished using the 4 digit code? the new lego all starts with 30 with 5 digits...

Posted by Huw in United Kingdom, 17 Feb 2010 10:01

@bmw, 2 of each will be fine, thanks very much.

@Aquapolis, no:

- 1xxxx are LEGO exclusives/direct-to-customer sets
- 2xxxx are Brickmaster and Architecture sets
- 3xxxx range seems to be used for some, but not all, promotional sets
- 4xxxx seems to be used for seasonal sets.

Regular sets are still numbered < 10000.

Posted by doeg6ba in United States, 17 Feb 2010 10:50

Spotted at the Target on the Tempe Marketplace today. They've also got the Duplo sets mentioned before.

Posted by mokey2345 in United Kingdom, 17 Feb 2010 11:20

maybe for uk the daily mirror will have another promo again?

Posted by washen in United States, 17 Feb 2010 19:45

All four sets available in bulk at several Target stores in North Carolina/South Carolina in the US.

Posted by bmwlego in United States, 17 Feb 2010 20:50

You got it Huw. As soon as my local Targets get these in I'll pick up 2 of each for you.

Posted by Starstreak in United States, 17 Feb 2010 20:59

I am so ticked off. I called Target, they just got it in and wasn't on the floor yet. I get there 15mins later and some guy bought the WHOLE shipment. I was so ticked.

Posted by bmwlego in United States, 17 Feb 2010 21:19

Starstreak: Probably on ebay already!
Check another Target, they'll have it.

Posted by Starstreak in United States, 17 Feb 2010 22:06

bmwlego- Two on the island. Checked one, which that happened to me. The other didn't get teh shipment in yet. But won't hold it when they do get it in. :(

Posted by christopher in United States, 17 Feb 2010 22:09

bmw- ok just asking because i got two polybag sets when i was 13 there.

Posted by Aquapolis in United States, 17 Feb 2010 23:42

ohokay thanks Huw. xD

Posted by iabstract in United States, 18 Feb 2010 00:54

@WedgeAntilles:
Never know, the V-19 made it online for a brief period. They might do the same with these, though I wouldn't count on it. I'll be going to my local Target tomorrow to check it out; I'll post back if I find anything.

Posted by DrDaveWatford in United Kingdom, 18 Feb 2010 04:12

These sets look great.

@bmw or any other sociable US Bricksetters - I'd also love a couple of these if you're willing to help out another Brit.....thanks !

Dr. D.

Posted by bmwlego in United States, 18 Feb 2010 08:40

Starstreak...Starwars4j??? Are you the same person?

I'll be target hopping Friday to check for these sets. If I get any I'll let you know.

Posted by legoman98 in United Kingdom, 18 Feb 2010 10:13

found out on interweb that there are pics of these sets with coming soon written on them and the blogwriter says the pics are from an official website describing news on the daily mirror.

CAN'T WAIT!!!!

;)

Posted by C-Fish in United States, 18 Feb 2010 14:16

Oh, wow! Cool! There's not a Target in my town, though. :(

Posted by bmwlego in United States, 18 Feb 2010 18:11

No luck at my nearest Target...they haven't put the Easter stuff out yet as they still have aisles and aisles of Val Day clearance!

Posted by legofanatic2414 in United States, 18 Feb 2010 18:19

WOW, this is all like a treasure hunt xD. Sorry Huw, couldn't find it :(

Posted by iabstract in United States, 18 Feb 2010 18:33

When you visit a Target and report your findings it would be helpful if you mention what city the Target is in. I'm still planning on going this evening to check, will report back shortly.

Posted by blazetrooper501 in United States, 18 Feb 2010 18:38

Im going to go and look at targets for these sets.

Posted by Legosmama in United States, 18 Feb 2010 18:59

The Targets in Salem, Oregon had them, but none of the Targets in the Portland area do as of yet. All thought by tomorrow or Saturday. I was able to pick up a few of each. They limit how many you can buy and said their quantity is limited. I realized they were there since someone from Salem, Oregon was selling them on eBay a few days ago, so I called. I found it interesting that someone else in Oregon was selling them on eBay and had a quantity of 1000??? I'm sure almost all will have in the next day or so.

Posted by southpaw in United States, 18 Feb 2010 19:56

I can't find them at targets near me! Where are they?!? I checked the Lego isle but they were nowhere to be found... I don't know where the "holiday section" is in the store. :(

Posted by 87stukas in United States, 18 Feb 2010 20:02

The Target Store in Owatonna, Mn had all four sets out and in good quanity picked up mine tonight:)

Posted by JELJ1s in United States, 18 Feb 2010 20:11

Picked up 5 of each including the Duplo mystery packs at Target in Colorado Springs on Powers Blvd and North Carefree Cir for those in the area.

Posted by alpha 40 in United States, 18 Feb 2010 20:34

southpaw: They should be in the Holiday section. I don't know about your store, but all of the targets near me(CT) have that section near the food section.

Posted by iabstract in United States, 18 Feb 2010 21:30

Just got back from two of my local Targets (Albuquerque, NM). The first had the Duplo sets and price labels but not sets for the city and SW series. Most of the shelves were bare, so I'm guessing they just hadn't been stocked yet. The second Target had all the sets in stock. I grabbed the Star Wars sets, and have 5 of each if anyone's interested.

@southpaw:
Look for all the Easter stuff: baskets, candy, decorations, etc. It's usually the same section of the store, it just changes with the season. Like alpha 40, my local Targets have it near the food section (probably the far back corner of the store). Within the section they'll have an Easter toy aisle that will likely have the Lego sets. I've never seen them with the regular toys or Lego sets.

Posted by i like guitars in United States, 18 Feb 2010 22:54

non here yet in cali, i checked in costa mesa and cypress.

Posted by Zrath in United States, 19 Feb 2010 01:06

I checked my two local Targets yesterday (both in Culver City, CA) and was disappointed twice, but in different ways:

The first Target only had the previous seasonal Star Wars sets: TIE Fighter, Grievous Fighter and V-19 Torrent. Which is great if you missed out on those the first time around. They did have the Duplo polybags however.

The second Target had NOTHING. Their Easter section was half-empty. I guess they're still working on it.

I'm planning to hit a couple of other Targets tomorrow to see if I can get lucky.

Posted by Heishi in United States, 19 Feb 2010 08:48

I checked two Target stores in Woodbridge, VA last night. Nothing yet. Going to check this weekend.

Posted by ncbarrett in United States, 19 Feb 2010 09:21

None in Monroe or Woodhaven, MI as of yesterday. Still too much valentine stuff I think.

Posted by Cosmo in United States, 19 Feb 2010 11:18

Found the City sets at the Mt. Pleasant, MI Target. No Star Wars sets though.

Posted by Morgan19 in United States, 19 Feb 2010 11:33

Fairfax, VA has everything on the shelves– SW, Duplo, and City.

Posted by EarthlingJJ in United States, 19 Feb 2010 14:06

Fort Union Super Target in Utah has them. I just had to go check since everyone here was reporting in...
The funny thing about the Duplo ones they seem to be a mystery polybag like you won't know which animal you get, but if you turn it over you can see through the bag and find out which one you'll get :-)

Posted by writemakesright in United States, 19 Feb 2010 15:51

Target Greatland in Bridgewater, NJ had them in stock, for now at least. Looked to have been picked through already.

Question: Weren't the Atlantis impulse sets supposed to be available at Target during this promotion? If not, when and where will they be available.

Posted by southpaw in United States, 19 Feb 2010 19:19

Seems to me like we got ourselves a good old fashioned treasure hunt!!! ;D

Posted by mommylego in United States, 19 Feb 2010 22:26

The Target in Reston, VA has a huge supply of both City sets and both SW sets. They had the shelf sign for the Duplo, but none in stock yet.

Posted by i like guitars in United States, 19 Feb 2010 23:58

got all 4 of the polybags at the anaheim CA target on Euclid.

Posted by kaboomlegoman in United Kingdom, 20 Feb 2010 15:13

I went to Target hoping to find them but couldn't, so I got Jet Ray instead.

Posted by vynsane in United States, 21 Feb 2010 18:30

Anyone found the Star Wars sets in New York yet? Namely the Hudson Valley or Long Island area?

Posted by Retsnom Kcor in United States, 21 Feb 2010 18:39

Nothing in the Clay/Liverpool one in NY. They didn't have much Easter stuff though.

Posted by parker4782 in United States, 21 Feb 2010 22:07

I am in Denver, CO right now on a short trip. Nothing at the super target at Colorado Mills and the lego store here is not very good either.

Posted by bmwlego in United States, 22 Feb 2010 05:49

I found the Star Wars sets on Long Island in Levittown.

Posted by michaelvader in United States, 22 Feb 2010 08:27

Posted by vynsane in United States, 22 Feb 2010 10:43

SETS 30002,30010, 30050 AND 30051 were all available as of yesterday at Jantzen Beach (Portland, OR)

Posted by alpha 40 in United States, 22 Feb 2010 16:41

michaelvader: as of now they are only available in Targets in the USA.

I went to the target in Orange, CT yesterday and they had 30002, 30010, 30050, and 30051. No Duplo or at least were they should have been but I don't care for Duplo any way. I got 30002, 30010, 5x 30050, and 5x 30051.

Posted by Blink in United States, 22 Feb 2010 17:37

Anyone in NYC able to find these?

Posted by jonbuddy in United States, 22 Feb 2010 18:35

I think it's time for a "It's been a slow week for news...." article with the fact they are building a Legoland in Florida and that they are making a Lego Star Wars III: The Clone Wars!

(I've emailed you about these two things, Huw.)

Posted by itsaturkey in United States, 23 Feb 2010 10:46

jonbuddy- wow, a legoland in florida? thats Awesome! its anoying how there were only two lego lands. one in UK and one in california. i cant wait for the new game, i thought lego was done with star wars games. do you know when its coming out?

Posted by itsaturkey in United States, 23 Feb 2010 10:49

i think its really unfair how lego makes some US only sets and UK only sets. bad marketing in my opinion.

Posted by iabstract in United States, 23 Feb 2010 14:28

I'm also willing to work out a deal with our Euro Brickset friends, just pm me if interested. I'm still looking for those Daily Mirror SW sets (30004, 30005, 30006), too, so I'm definitely open to trading as well... :)

Posted by jonbuddy in United States, 23 Feb 2010 16:37

@itsaturkey, No, there are Legolands in Denmark and Germany, too!

Posted by darthvader321 in United States, 24 Feb 2010 07:29

How much are the sets?

Posted by Captain Blockbeard in United States, 24 Feb 2010 16:20

All four sets were available today at my local Target in Pennsylvania. I picked up the Police Boat and Fire Fighter sets.

Posted by iabstract in United States, 24 Feb 2010 22:16

@darthvader321:
It says at the top of the article how much the sets cost.

Posted by ncbarrett in United States, 25 Feb 2010 08:17

I have 1 extra of the 2 Star Wars sets. If anyone is interested let me know.

Posted by Heishi in United States, 26 Feb 2010 07:30
