  • March offers at shop.LEGO.com

Posted by Huw, 01 Mar 2013 03:49. Filed under shop.LEGO.com (General).

As you can see from the banner above (if you're in the UK, USA or Canada) there are some worthwhile offers this month at shop.LEGO.com:

In the USA and Canada:  FREE Delivery on all orders of $75 or more until 15th March, and FREE 30242 Star Wars Republic Frigate with $50 LEGO Star Wars orders.

In the UK: FREE Delivery on all orders of £50 or more until 15th March, and FREE 30242 Star Wars Republic Frigate with £50 LEGO Star Wars orders.

In Germany: FREE Delivery on all orders of €55 or more until 13th March, and FREE 30242 Star Wars Republic Frigate with €55 LEGO Star Wars orders.

Luckily I haven't bought all the SW sets I intend to yet, so I'm off shopping...

Thanks to rmarkworth for the info on the German offer.

In Sweden: OVER PRICED SETS and 175 SEK (18£) delivery!
you get the 30242 if you spend 600 sek...

we are screwed...as usual

Yes, yes. I have been waiting for the series 3 to be made available.

Posted by PsyKater in Germany, 01 Mar 2013 06:12

There is also an offer for Duplo customers from UK and Germany: Free Duplo memo set (I do not know the set number) for Duplo orders of at least £25 / €30.

I also noticed that the shop system does not add the Duplo set to the Bag at the end of the process. And it said I was qualified for the Free 30242 although I had no Star Wars sets in my bag. So there might be some trouble in the early hours of the offering.

I also heard as a rumor that the second half of March will be Double VIP time.

Posted by lloki1 in United States, 01 Mar 2013 06:25

I dont know if this is a glitch but when I added the rancor pit to my cart it gave my double vip points on that item this was also the case with the daily bugle spider man set.

PS: German offer valid till 13th of March, not 15th. (see comment above)

@rmarkworth Thanks again. I corrected it in the article.

Posted by paanjang16 in Malaysia, 01 Mar 2013 09:33

In Malaysia: Gosh.. where to I start?
OVERPRICED SETS
NO Shop at Home
NO VIP
NO free polybag
NO Palace Cinema, Haunted House, Maersk Train, Horizon Express
Lousy selection of sets
Very low availability of stock

While we have a Legoland in Johor, the stock comes from the same monopoly supplier and the prices are bloated beyond EU and US levels.

I envy those in the US and EU.

Posted by rnsrobot in Canada, 01 Mar 2013 11:46

@lloki1 - no glitch! I poked around the VIP page and found these offers (in the Canadian store, usually same as US? Not sure).

VIP 50 BONUS
POINTS OFFER!
Earn 50 VIP Bonus points when you purchase these LEGO® sets, March 1-24:

76005 Spider-Man™: Daily Bugle Showdown
75005 Rancor™ Pit
70705 Bug Obliterator

Not bad. Bummed out the free shipping isn't crossing over with the double VIP starting later this month. Maybe free ship first week of April.

Posted by paulmison in United States, 01 Mar 2013 12:03

@rnsrobot Those VIP bonus points offers are also available in the US store.

Posted by rnsrobot in Canada, 01 Mar 2013 12:07

@psykater - got an insert with the free valentine's day keychain, double VIP from March 25-April 8th (I think).

Here we go again. Why do some countries get this free shipping a few times a year while others rarely get it?

Posted by Demarco Murray in United Kingdom, 01 Mar 2013 13:51

Free shipping should be a given not a special offer. If I've spending £120 on one Lego set I'd be pretty miffed if they charged shipping on top.

Posted by perfectlydark in Australia, 01 Mar 2013 16:47

I agree on the shipping. Its what stops me from shopping at the lego store. Theres no reason to pay full retail price and then be slugged with what can only be called Exhorbitant shipping rates. I was going to buy the new Hoth battle set ($70AU) only to get to the cart to be charged $35 shipping. Absolute joke. Outerrim for me

Posted by Cmdr_Roy in Australia, 01 Mar 2013 17:01

Australian email has come through this morning, spend $100Aus for the republic polybag, no free shipping.

Posted by asl in France, 02 Mar 2013 05:24

France store, you get the 30242 for 55€ and more, but no free shipping charge (thus 5,95€ of shipping).

Posted by psychopuppet in United States, 02 Mar 2013 13:20

I ordered 12 of the series 9 minfigures , Minecraft , and a Keychain with the free shipping. I was about to use my points towards the Town Hall but got a spring catalogue today with the 10% off coupon . So be using that on the 25th since my points and the coupon bring it to the same price plus double points . Then will use the points towards the Pet Shop. Shame the coupons are not able to be used online as it would save me a 45 min trip on the 25th.

Man, I wish they would have deals like this for Lord of the Rings. :(
